Mit had curled up against Ambersky's body, his feathers and fur were downy soft as always, but wrongly cold.

It took Lennox several hours to get back, his little treasure still tucked in his shirt, he came rushing into the room Violet was in, "Father! Oh..." He looked uncomfortable for a moment, "Lady... Um... Have you seen my father... or..." He paused looking more uncomfortable, scratching the back of his head with one hand, while the other cradled something against his chest, "Mit?"

"Lady Violet," Lennox nodded, and pulled out the bag, before kneeling in front of her and opening the bag, he slid the bag down to show violet the top of a large golden red egg, "Isn't it pretty? Do you know what it is?"

"It's a Phoenix egg." Lennox breathed, as though saying it too loud would make the egg disappear, " It was flying over head and then it just burned to the ground. It was so cold, if I left it there it would have died..."

"They're super rare," Lennox said, sounding like a the kid he looked like. "I only knew it was a phoenix from the pictures in one of my magic books, an egg is even rarer."

"Hatch it... Make sure it doesn't die... according to the book their very fragile right out of the shell, and have to have extreme attention shown to them until their eyes open properly and their fuzz starts growing." Lennox said.
