So the ambush is Hollywood glorified?

I guess it is. No more moments like that, I guess, if it causes such problems.

"Think and act like real Marines that aren't trying to be killed."
What I read of that ambush was the exact opposite, and was indeed "Hollywood-glorified".
To be honest, and I really do not mean to be offensive, it was hard for me to read. I'll go and reread the events to make sure I actually know what I'm talking about.

Well, I think for the most part it was my fault it's hard to read. I tend to use a lot of commas.

No, the colors used were what distracted me the most. Anyways, to the point:
MA5C ICWS and Combat Knife M7 and M90-CAWS MA5B ICWS
The weapons listed above are what you guys were using. Those are not ambush weapons. Not when you have the amount of enemies you had with the gear they had.
And Legix, running right up there with your knife? Really?

I'd be crazy enough to attempt it :/ but, again, we'll avoid such things like that if it causes such a high problem. It was to my belief we were hidden with such a close range I could pull such a move, hence why I would have charged with a knife to attack an unsuspecting driver, alerted only through a loud, nearby sound. I thought, due to being in shock and occupying a spot such as one that fills his hands, it would be possible to strike in such away.
But, I guess the easier way would have been to shoot him.

You had a trip-wire of grenades that you never posted detonating, which would have realistically detonated and killed you because you sprinted out there. =/
That's my problem with it. The only sound tactic I saw there was forgotten.

Note: I placed it further ahead of my position in the CENTER of the road. I'm not that dumb to set it IN FRONT of me and then charge on top of it.
Edit: It was implied as a fail safe, incase a Prowler slipped by before we could get it. If I did post otherwise, then that was my own fault, but I tried to imply, if not state, it was for that manner.

Hmm. If my calculations are correct, I should be able to post in the role play at some point on Wednesday. I'll finish reading what has occurred in the role play so far tomorrow, and post in the role play on Wednesday.

Uhh...so did anyone take a look at my profile? Well that does seem like a glorified moment, though it would have been better to have the grenades placed to take out the current prowler instead of charging it, because let's say you die....you sure your marines can survive raking fire from a prowler? Though I'm not that far so I still need to read what's happened.

The Prowler would probably move further down the road to spin around and get a better shot...hence the trip wire still having purpose, even in my own death. Though, it wouldn't be as great to know that I died and got to miss it :/

...Still waiting on someone's opinion on my profile so that I may edit it if needed. So how would your character fill if my character, a criminal who has murdered a person before, worked with a gang, which has either fought rival gangs or served as bodyguards for a blackmarket merchant, who has managed to kill three marines, and injured one man, was under your command?

If it were my character leading a character like that...
You would be the one charging with the knife.
