Kairi smiled when Sora agreed, saying they could go to the courtyard. The brunette then began leading her down the hallways. The pasted a few students, but mostly the passed teachers who were making their last preparations before class.

The pair reached the doors that opened to the courtyard, and Sora lead Kairi out. This was one of the nicer parts of the school in the crimsonette's opinion. There was a small fountain in the middle of the courtyard, and it was open to view the ocean a couple miles away. Last year the Princess had found herself here often, staring out at the sea, thinking of Sora and Riku. Now that the Keybearer was here with her, the courtyard seemed even more lovely.

Sora guided Kairi over to one of the walls and leaned against it. The red head placed her school bag at her feet and then did the same. The brunette asked her what they should talk about, and then asked her if she knew how Naminé was since he hadn't really since much of her since Halloween. The crimsonette frowned a little then replied, "I'm not really sure. I haven't seen much of her either. I mean we had that girls night like I mentioned and we all had fun, but after that I think Naminé's kept to herself a lot, thinking things over. I'll feel some things and ask her how she's doing, but you know Naminé. She tells me she's fine and for me not to worry. I can't help but worry sometimes though, she's like my sister. I really hope this all gets figured out soon..." Kairi returned Sora's weak smile and asked, "What about Riku and Roxas? How are they?"

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.~

Lakayna and Axel and the others made it back to the town square just before the bell on the clock sounded the end of Halloween night. Lakayna's golden eyes looked to Axel, her hand still clasped in his. "I'm glad I got to spend Halloween with you," she said then turned her eyes to the others around her, "And with all of my friends too."

(insert time skip here :XP)

The days blurred by at an expodential rate, and before the lavendernette knew it, she was waking to the sound oof her alarm clock on the day of Christmas Eve, December 24. Sighing as she woke up, Lakayna turned the alarm off. "Whose bright idea was it to have us go to school the day before Christmas anyway?" she complained to herself, rubbing her eyes.

The days had grown somewhat cooler on the islands in the days following up to Winter. Lakayna was in the shower before she reemember that tonight was the Christmas Eve Dance; also known as the Winter Ball. It was a formal occasion, even though it was being held at the school; the very reason Lakayna had been saving up for a beautiful dress she'd picked out that her father would pick up for her on the way home from work. It was nice that he was allowed to come how early.

Lakayna finished getting ready for school and ate a quick breakfast before brushing her teeth. Pulling on her school shoes, the lavendernette rushed out the door, waving bye to her father. She made it to school, though had extra tim to spare, so Lakayna sought the others out.

(i don't know where everyone is right now, i just skimmed for the most part.)

Riku sighed, rubbing the burnt butt of his cigarette into the concrete and dropping it the with other two. He breathed out the last bit of smoke he'd been holding back at watched it disappear into the air. The teen would have to come back out later in the afternoon to smoke. Maybe lunch. Maybe earlier than that. It all depended on who he saw and how they reacted. She grunted and stood up, wiping himself off some and rubbing his boot over the cirgarette butts on the ground, just to be sure they were out. He then headed back towards the school where he could slip back in.

He stopped as he rounded the corner, catching the hair of Marluxia. He recalled meeting him, or rather seeing him, in Halloween Town. He growled at the reminder of the sour memory. He also recalled Naminé's reaction to him as well as what she told Sora. He had killed the pinkette. But he was here and in uniform so he couldn't be much of a threat, right? "What are you doing here?" Riku snapped kinda harshly. He didn't technically mean too, it just came with the attitude that had been there over the weeks.

"What am I doing here? Bothering you guys." he smiled. Wasn't really his motives, but seeing Riku's face was worth the fun. "Why is a young schoolboy smoking, hm?" he poked fun at the boy. "You know, that's bad for you." he grinned again. "I think the school outfit would fit my hair, don't you?" he winked. "IF you want to know, Sora and them are talking in private. I woooonder what that could mean, hm? Give a fair warning, so they can stop what they're doing, you don't want to see them at an awkward time, alright? Good boy." The pinkette gave a small smirk, and waved in the way the others went. "Go on, now. Your voice is grating." he said, cheerfully.

A flyer passed his face, and he caught it instinctively. "Dance...today....attend....5000 munny...blah, blah, blah. So that's what it was." he mumbled, and looked around, letting the flyer go back with the wind. He called out to any girl that would listen, and asked if they wanted to be his partner. He posed dramatically, and waved with a wink at some group of giggling girls. He almost fit in. School wouldn't be too hard. After all, Axel could handle it, and it must be really simple if that lazy pyro could do it.

He heard a bell in the distance, but it wasn't pleasant sounding, and he really didn't get the significance. He knew eyes were on him, maybe it had something to do with the eerie noise, or with his wooonderful hair. He just knew that was it. They admired him. Wasn't that hard, hm? Some students in the outfits like his started to move off inside, and so he followed.

The silvernette scowled at Marluxia. Smoking was bad? He knew that, he wasn't an ifiot. But it wasn't every day that Heartless or a stupid Nobody showed up on Destiny Islands so he had needed to find something else to take his mind off his emotions. "Yeah. So what, smoking's bad. You're not even suppose to exist though," he hissed back. It was easy to take his anger out on someone he didn't remember but knew had tried to do wrong in the eyes of the King. He began ignoring the pinkette as soon as he started on about Sora and Kairi.

He waved the subject off. "Whatever. They're kinda the last people I wanna see right now," he told Marly. "But thanks," he added sarcastically. Was Riku just in a really pissy mood today? Or was Marluxia really that easy to hate? He chuckled as the Nobody tried to call girls over and ask them for dates. "None of them will say yes to you. You look like a chick, Marluxia," Riku pointed out bluntly. He caught a few of the girls looking his way and immediately adverted his eyes. Just because he and Naminé were fighting did NOT mean he was shopping for a new girl. He groaned at the sound of the school bell.

"If you're going to try to attend school, you may want to get inside before the tardy bell sounds again...if you care," he stated then began to walk into the building. he didn't care what the pinkette did with the rest of his time. Riku's only care was avoiding Roxas and Sora, maybe finding Naminé but doubtful and skipping a period to smoke some more.

"I do NOT look like a girl. What, do you think I'd look better in the female outfit?" he asked, and posed for him. "Hey, maybe that would work." he said, and then proceeded to wave over a few boys. He cursed under his breath that it did. But at least he would most likely have a date, if he were willing to wear drag. The boys followed him puppy style.

Frowning, he went inside, and tried to find where he was meant to go. Social Studies? What the... was he supposed to learn how to be...social? Study it? Ugh. He turned to the group behind him. "Anyone know where to go?" he asked, and they pointed him on, and followed him, opening the door for the boy. He cursed again. Riku was right. It also seemed he was in his classroom, as well.

He was introduced as a "new student" in front of the class, and then sat down. A few of the other boys snickered at him, and he glared, but did nothing. Yet. He would fix them later. The pinkette listened for ten seconds, and then pressed his head to the table, and continued to try to not fall asleep, and failed.

Naminé
Miss Memory Witch

User Image

Naminé watched Sora and Kairi cuddle and interact with each other and she felt a pain in her chest that caused her to look away. She smiled at Kairi when she felt her other looking at her then she stood up and left so the couple could be together. Naminé walked away, off by herself and stared up at the sky as she heard her friends and the inhabitents of halloween town counting down. They reached one and all cheered. Halloween had been a success. Naminé made it back to her friends and hopped into the Gummi ship and sat by herself, staring down at the ground and wishing for all the world that she could simply dissapear...

--------

The petite blonde woke up and stared at her ceiling, having no desire to leave her bed. However, she knew she had to go to school. Well, she didn't have to. It wasn't like she had any parents who stressed that grades were important. But ever since Halloween, Naminé had thrown herself into her studies and while she was already bright, she now had straight A's and was completely impressing her teachers. If she kept it up, she was bound to be on the Honor Roll. Climbing out of bed, she got ready for the day, dressing in the school uniform and leaving the hosue, locking the door behind her out of habit.

Walking down to school she made it before the bell ran but remained out in front, sitting beneath a tree. The bell rang for first period and students began to head towards their class but Naminé honestly didn't feel like she could sit down in a class and even try to focus today. It was christmas eve for one - who had school on christmas eve? Honestly! - and the Christmas Ball was tonight. A ball that she wasn't planning on going to. Not anymore. Sighing, she stood up and brushed off her skirt and proceeded to walk into the building. Naminé walked slowly along with the other students, keeping her head down and blending in with the mix of students. She was different again. When she'd gone out with Riku, she was raident, smiling, happy all the time. People noticed her. Now she kept her head down like she used to, guilty about hurting Roxas and Riku and confused on what to do. That was when she heard a familiar voice. Rather, two of them.

Looking up, her brilliant blue eyes spotted a familiar pinkette entering the doorway and then walking off. But her eyes strayed to the flash of gleaming silver and stayed trained on Riku. She'd been avoiding him and Roxas. Heck, she'd practically been avoiding all of her friends for the past month and few weeks. She paused in her steps, looking over at him before hurriedly turning away and hoping he didn't see her. Instead of going to class, she decided to skip out and go sit outside or something. If anyone saw her, she'd wipe their memory. But the nearest door out was by Riku. Dang it, why had she even walked into the school? She should've just stayed outside. Naminé lowered her head and cut her way through the crowd, passing Riku and putting her hand on the door that led out to the courtyard and pushing it open, slipping through and heading outside. She'd skip out on English today.

Skipping school. Huh, no surprise there. What Rikia did consider a surprsie though, was that she'd been attending Destiny High they day after Halloween. She'd gone every single day to every single one of her classes and kept and eye on Sora and his friends. And to her great pleasure, she saw that Riku and Roxas seemed to be tied up with the little Memory Witch. Who was staying away from her friends. The bad news? Kairi and Sora were finally an item. Which would make it a tad bit harder than it would be to snatch Kairi and take her heart. Then again, Rikia was confident she could manage it. Sora was only a minor set back. Besides... she had a plan in store for tonight. She was crashing the Christmas ball and was going to finally come out of hiding and cause some mayhem.

Smiling at her reflection in her mirror, she laughed and twirled about, the school skirt whirling before falling down back to rest at mid-thigh. Her eyes were a deep crimson but one blink and they changed to a normal looking green. Hmmm, did she liked green? No, it didn't fit with her teal/ black-ended hair. A blue then? No. Kairi's eyes were blue. And she wasn't a part of Kairi anymore. She wouldn't resemble her, other than the way her hair was styled and how her body was similar to Kairi's. Rikia was just as tall and lean as Kairi and Namine but no one would think to associate her with those two. Another blink - and using her power over illusions of course - her eyes changed to a soft amber. There. Much better. Not bright or gold enough for others to be reminded of Heartless or anything. It was perfect. Rikia smiled, and she didn't have to use her illusion to hide her fangs while showing her other teeth. She'd taught herself how to smile without showing fangs.

The wind stirred through her open window -- Rikia had secured an empty house along the edge of the beach -- and she felt a dark power carried along by the wind. Her head snapped up as she walked to the window, looking out and seeing nothing. But there was a power equally as strong as hers on the Island... no, not equally as strong. She was stronger, of course. Rikia's eyes narrowed as she trained them to a cliff on the distance. The source of power was from there. If it was a Heartless that had shown up, she'd dismiss it. If it didn't listen, she'd crush it. Kairi and her friends were her toys now. Not some dumb Heartless. Tossing her head back, her hair flipped away from her porcelain face and she waved a hand. A corridor of Darkness appeared behind her and she stepped back into it, allowing it to swallow her up. A moment later, she appeared on the cliff behind Aros, stepping foward towards him, not scared in the slightest of the figure before her. To her surprise, his hair was exactly like Sora's. Except black. "And just who do we have here?" Rikia purred seductively, smiling her true smile that revealed her fangs. "That's a lot of dark power you have... am I to guess I'm finally standing in the presence of the darkness of the Keyblade Master? Or rather I should say, has the darkness of the Keyblade Master finally come to stand in my presence? Yes, I believe the second question is the correct one out of the two." She said and gave a tinkling laugh that would send shivers down the spine of the bravest hero.

The silvernette rolled his eyes. He was hopinh that Marluxia was just easy to hate and he wasn't this moody. Or course he would test the theory and try to woo some boys. It worked though he wasn't surprised by this. The teen chuckled when the boys flocked to him and guided him to his classroom and even opened the door for him. Great. They had the same class.

Riku looked away from the doorway when a blur of gold caught his eye. He turned towards the door that was swinging close now. Was that just Naminé? He was pretty sure it was. He pressed his hand against the door and then closed it into a fist. If that was the Nobody, she didn't look good and probably didn't need him bothering her. But he wanted to make sure she was all right. He did love her. That hadn't changed since Halloween. He sighed. If things got out of hand, he'd find Kairi or someone and just leave her be, but the needed to talk. Even to just break up. How things were left on Halloween were not terms Riku wanted the rest of his life to go. He pushed the door open and soon found her.

He stood off the to the side for a bit. Just staring at her and aching to hold her and comfort her, but he didn't. Just stood. "Hey," he whispered. "If you don't wanna talk or see me just say so, and I'll go. But sooner or later Naminé...we need to talk," he added quickly, his voice soft. He didn't want to upset her further. He wanted another cigarette already, bad. But he would wait.

Marluxia smiled. He liked to see the look of disgust cross the boy's face. It made him a odd sort of happy. He delighted in people's pain. Then Riku turned, and started to talk to someone. He couldn't see the girl clearly, but the size and color of her hair and skin made it painfully clear who she was. Namine. Then the door closed, and he could no longer see or hear what was going on. The bell stopped ringing.

Riku seemed to like Namine, a lot it seemed, through the troubles he went through to make sure she was okay. But he was sure that she liked Roxas, and she definitely wasn't the type to have two lovers at once. Way too innocent for that. Not even her Somebody would do such a thing.

Namine was so strange...She was a nobody, yet had feelings, ones that were more than the basic ones of the others, like in the Organization. And, she was one of the few to have a Somebody still around. Marluxia remembered his Somebody, but not much. Ugh, not the best topic.

He noticed that he was staring off into space, and some kind of teacher was trying to get his attention. "HEY! New girl! pay attention!" Marluxia snapped. He knew that Riku said he looked like a girl, but Riku says a lot of things. But this? He had better be Nearsighted, or something.

Marluxia stomped out, slamming the door behind him. A last remark, he told the teacher to forcefully insert his class into somewhere unpleasant, though in more vulgar words. He scowled at Riku, and pushed past into the hall angrily.
....And Schoolboy.

Naminé
Miss Memory Witch

User Image

Naminé let the door to the school shut behind her and the tardy bell gave one last loud, annoying peal. Ignoring it completely she made her way through the now-deserted-courtyard and chose a tree off on the edge to sit by. Making her way over to it, she sat down and leaned her back against the strong trunk, letting her eyes close and a soft sigh to escape her lips. She was so... tired. She hadn't been getting much sleep lately. The Roxas/Riku thing tormented her mind and emotions but she'd also been busy with a certain project. Keeping her eyes closed she leaned on the trunk, letting her mind go blank and trying to push all her worries away. Of course they came back to her when she heard a voice.

Eyes fluttering open, she foun herself looking up at Riku and she felt a sharp pain in her chest. However she forced herself to remain looking up at him. Riku told her that if she didn't want to talk to him or see him all she had to do was tell him but sooner or later... well they needed to talk. Naminé lowered her eyes, her hands clasping together as she placed them on her lap, staring down at them. "No, it's alright. You can stay. You're right... We need to talk." She murmured quietly. "But first... I've got something for you." The Memory Witch said, unclasping her hands to reach over to her messenger bag. Pulling it open, she pulled out a sketchbook. It wasn't her sketchbook that she could summon, but a normal one. But it still worked just the same. A white ribbon accentuated the silvery cover, the ribon running from one corner down to another in a diagnal pattern. "My promise to you. I'm sorry it's so late but there was a lot I needed to sort through to finish this and I've... been trying to deal with other stuff. But it's finished, Riku. Hikari is officially a part of your family now. Your parents won't know that they didn't remember her before this. It will be as if she'd never left." The petite blonde held the sketchbook, looking down at it before raising it and holding it out for Riku to take.

Sora felt like maybe he shouldn’t have brought up Naminé after all when he saw Kairi’s reaction. But it was natural for the girl to worry about her Nobody. If Roxas was acting up like this -- which he kind of was -- then he’d be worried too. Of course, Kairi and Naminé were a little closer than himself and Roxas, so he really didn’t know what his girlfriend was going through. She explained that Naminé was very distant, as was expected. It seemed that she had taken his advice and took a break, but in turn had broke from everyone. If that was her way of coping, he wasn’t going to change it. He shared Kairi’s hopes that it would all get better, and he knew it would eventually. Then she turned the question on him, asking about Riku and Roxas. He swallowed at first, unsure of how to answer.
”More or less the same as Naminé, really,” he replied, slowly so he could think. ”I mean, I really haven’t talked to either of them since it was my idea to have Naminé break from both of them. They probably hate me right about now… ha…” He laughed weakly. ”But it’s okay. Things will get sorted out soon enough. And then only one of them will hate me.”

Sora felt like he kinda lost either way depending on who Naminé chose. If she chose Roxas, then Riku would be angry at him for making her think about things. And if she chose Riku, then Roxas would blame him for the exact same thing, and for interfering. But he didn’t care. As long as Naminé was happy. That would make Kairi happy too, so it was a doubly good thing. It was then that the first bell rang, alerting them that they had about five minutes until class started. Sora pulled himself from the wall and took Kairi’s hand.
”Guess we’d better get to class,” he announced. He always escorted Kairi to English before he went to his first period, so he led her inside, going a different way so they missed Naminé and the other completely. Once they got to Kairi’s class, he opened the door for her, giving her a quick kiss on the top of her head to say good-bye. He did this every now and again, whenever the mood felt right. He bid her farewell and then turned to go to his own class. This was one of the classes he dreaded. On the first day, the teacher had that brilliant plan of wherever you sat was your permanent seat for the rest of the year. It just so happened that he’d chosen to in front of Riku, who currently tried to avoid him like the plague. First period was not his favorite class anymore, even though he actually liked the subject.

Today he happened to hate the class more than usual. When he walked in, he noticed a familiar man with pink hair sitting in a desk. No way… he thought distastefully, resisting an audible gag. What was Marluxia doing at Destiny High? He wasn’t going to dare ask him about it, so he just went to his seat and sat down before the bell rang. He noticed Riku wasn’t in. Great, he was probably skipping again for whatever reason. That made the situation a little better. And things actually made a turn for better when the teacher called out on Marluxia to pay attention, calling him a girl. Sora didn’t try to hide the laughter that followed. He’d have to tell Kairi about this. Marluxia stormed out, so things were actually going to be enjoyable in class today. With that in mind, the brunette reached down and pulled out his textbook and actually paid attention.

Aros turned slightly when he heard some sort of corridor open behind him, but he really didn’t flinch or tense up like a normal person would. He was really indifferent about what it could possibly be, since it was probably a Heartless or some other minor threat. However, a sly smile slid onto his face when the figure that exited the Corridor of Darkness was a girl that looked very familiar. She spoke down to him, of course. That was expected. He would recognize her aura anywhere. She was Kairi’s Heartless. She made it sound like he should be honored that she was there, which wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. He wasn’t very fond of the way she’d addressed him, either.
”I would appreciate it if you would not refer to me as any part of the Keyblade Master,” he sneered, glancing away for a moment before looking back.”My name is Aros. Call me that.”

He paused for a moment, wondering why he’d been around for such a long period of time and not realized that she would be there. He should’ve been able to feel her presence from miles away, but he hadn’t. She must have been hiding herself well, or else she’d just arrived. She was dressed in a school uniform, so he supposed it wasn’t the latter.
”Now, I know you,” Aros began smoothly, smirking a bit.”You’re the darkness that was inside of the princess, Kairi, correct? However, I don’t know your name…” His voice trailed off, as he waited for her to catch his drift and tell him her name. He still didn’t like the way she was acting. She thought she was all high and mighty just because she was the darkness in the heart that wasn’t supposed to have any darkness. But she was wrong if she thought she was stronger than him. After all, he came from the strongest heart in the universe, and he was real darkness. He decided to address that right now. ”Now, I don’t know what you’re planning or how long you’ve been here, but we’re going to set one thing straight. I am in charge. Not you. I know you very well, more than you’d realize. We’re very much connected. From the same darkness, you could say. After all, Kairi wouldn’t have any darkness in her at all if she hadn’t taken refuge inside of him. So keep that in mind.” By saying things this way, she would have to know that compared to him, she was tainted with light, and more so part of him rather than separated or the other way around. Also, he’d hinted that he’d wanted to hear her plans. So he crossed his arms over his chest and raised a brow at the girl. He could feel Sora’s feelings for Kairi since he was still part of them, but love was a light feeling, one that he did not possess, nor did he want it. So the connection he was supposed to have with the Princess of Heart’s darkness would not exist at all to him.

Sora was slow to answer Kairi's question about Roxas and Riku, but she understood why. He said they were basically the same as Naminé, saying he hadn't really talked to either of them. He also said that they probably hated him since it was his idea to have Naminé break from both of them. "Aww Sora they can't hate you. They're your friends. And besides, it is kinda their own fault. Instead of fighting they should have talked things over calmly with Naminé. The brunette then said that it was okay though, that things will get sorted out soon enough. "Mmm yeah," the read head nodded.

Shortly after that the Princess heard the first bell ring. "Already?" she thought, feeling like she and Sora had only just got there. The Keybearer said they had better get to class, and he, as usual, escorted her to English. Once they got to the crimsonette's class, Sora opened the door for her and gave her a quick kiss on the top of her head to say good-bye. Kairi in return leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek and said, "See you next period in Biology." She waved good-bye to the brunette and entered the classroom.

The red head took her seat and looked around. She noticed that both Naminé and Lakayna were not there yet. Kairi sighed, doubting that Naminé would show up. The Princess then pulled out her books, and waited for the teacher to begin the lesson.

We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.~
