 Songbird smiled warmly to Static, resting her hands on her hips -- where Static couldn't help but notice the Thunderbolt emblem on Melissa's belt, "We're welcome to have you with us. Now I know that you're coming from another universe. If you need any help settling in or adjusting, just let me know. I'll be glad to help out. It took me a while to adjust myself, when I first arrived in this .... merged universe."

Kesshou's ears picked up bits of Songbird's and Static's conversation. She walked up behind songbird with a smirk. "Are you hitting on our newest guest?" She leaned against the wall looking like a smart a**.
"By the way, Thank you for re-energizing me earlier." Her gaze landed right on Static, a sincere look of appreciation on her face.

Scott walked over to the computer centering himself in the screen as he stood next to beast boy. It appeared that he'd have to take command of the mission. And he was more than ready to take the leadership role. His experience gave him confidence that they could pull off the mission if he could talk with only those he would be taking with him. He stared at the computer for a moment as he prepared to speak up.
"Okay, all going on the mission with me say so. I need to know now what team I'll have to plan on how we'll fight. If you are coming you will need to come here at to the institute. We will plug in the battleground we will be facing into the training room and practice a few formations before we begin the real deal."
**Kurt had pulled out his communicator just as Scott took lead in the war room and his voice came through.
"Ve are still shopping but I vill be going- Ve vill be back really soon."**
**Kai on her motorcycle came through the computers audio as well.
"I will stay with the cave and help with what I can from there."
Kai was beginning to reach the outskirts of Gotham. The lights of the city lit the cloud filled sky orange and red colors surround with the purples she was all too familiar with. Night was a good time to be getting back home.
"I am almost in Gotham, I am hanging up my Communicator." **
Garfield didn't want her to hang up but knew she could handle herself in that city.
"I'm going."
He volunteered. He hoped that they could get more than just a few heroes in the base. Garfield put his hands in his pockets nervously hoping to hear a lot more volunteers for the mission which may take up more than willing to go. There were so many kids...
Xavier wheeled into the room seemingly unnoticed by those in the room. He had been listening to the conversation, and the thoughts of the members in this room. He was busy with a few other things, involving the institute that kept him away from the room. But now he was there he would definitely be able to hear and see all that was going on. For instance the what was on the communicators.
"I will be here to protect the Institute. I think we will be needing more than who has volunteered. I could not pick up any other heroes while I was away so we might have to use everyone we have that is physically able to fight."
"It would leave defenses weak here but... what are the chances that our hide outs would be attacked while we are away fighting the /only/ people who want to harm us head on?"
Garfield asked. It was a legitimate question and if their bases of operation were safe enough they could have far more members going to fight than had already volunteered.
"Professor Xavier, we have done missions with far worse circumstances. I would like more people but I would be okay with only 5 or 6 others going on this mission."
He couldn't believe he had almost forgotten that Xavier was out of the room. Last he remembered was the man going down the hall toward Cerebro.
((Let's bring back the Professor. I don't know where he was but since I didn't know I made it up. It is done :T ... I literally can't remember the last time I posted for Xavier sweatdrop ))

Nightshade walked up beside Cyclops nodding to the X-Men leader, "Deal me in. You might need me to act as your 'combat medic.' Also, I can get a first look at the kids that I.O. is experimenting on."
Songbird was about to give a teasing retort toward Kesshou, but the mission came first -- lives where at stake. Motioning amongst Static, Kesshou and herself, Melissa spoke up, "We're going too Cyclops. Just tell us what we need to do."
Rogue's voice crackled on the X-Comm, "Ah hear ya, Scott. Ah'll be there as soon as Ah can git Kansas ta shake a leg."
Oracle tried to get Professor X's attention and any one else who would listen, "Hey, I'm getting a massive gravimetric reading from the I.O. base. It looks like one floor is now sitting around ten G's. One on the new mutants detected there seems to be the source."

Kesshou nodded when Songbird spoke about them going. When Barbara mentioned about the gravity well she spoke up herself. "I can somewhat manipulate gravity on the electrical side. If need be I can try and subside the amount of gravity pull coming from the child."
She looked over at Garfield and walked over to his side. "We definitely need to learn what each of us can do. Some of us already know what some others can do, but even if we come from the same side, the Earth we come from can still be different."

Static was really excited about the mission. He was beginning to feel good. He figured this mission was just what he needed. Virgil had it all planned out, save the kids, win the girl, and get in with this new 'crew.' His whole world had been turned upside down, and inside out, and everything in between. Static smiled as he happily awaited instruction.

Oracle sat reviewing the I.O. files and monitoring their systems, when alerts pop up on I.O.'s own database. Barbara's green eyes widen as she reads the alerts, pushing her glasses upward on the bridge of her nose. Turning her head to the rest of the room, Babs announces her update, "Hey everyone! I.O. just went on full alert. It looks like four of their test subjects who just developed powers are trying to escape and are working together. Those four who seem to have put I.O. into panic mode appear to be composed of a gravity manipulator, a weather controller, a fire generator, and a strong 'brick' how appears to be getting stronger by the second. If you want your distraction, you have it now."

Scott looked to Oracle.
"That doesn't give us enough time. Our team isn't even fully here yet."
He pulled out his phone to call Kurt to see if he and the girls were on their way back yet.
"Kurt, where are you right now?"
"Ve are driving back... Is zer a problem?"
"We may go sooner than expected. Maybe we can get one training session in but that's it."
Garfield looked to Kessh and walked to her.
"I can transform into any animal. I'm a shapeshifter and a very good leader. I'll be along on the mission and I know some species that can handle quiet a bit of pressure. I'm not used to putting of situations like this but I am guessing Scott is the leader on this one so we will have to take his word for it."

Songbird heard what sounded like... the action was going off really soon without planning as much as they would like, "Oh boy... Ummm... Let's see if I can find us some more help.... Melissa flipped through different channels. While she didn't find any other Thunderbolts like she hoped, Mel did find the comm channels of two Avengers. Melissa blinked, "Well... this aught to be interesting. I hope they actually listen to me instead of them stating that they would rather wring my neck." Songbird switched her comm on, "Songbird to Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. Come in please."Praxus the Mad You can have those two practically anywhere in the RPs, but you can commuicate back here as well.

 [Enter Rogue from Smallville, Kansas] Rogue began to descend from the short sub-orbital path from Kansas back to Westchester New York. Popping her ears once she flies low enough, Marie slows her speed down to a hover as the mutant reaches the tops of the trees. Green eyes glance skyward to spot Superboy to get his attention where the back entrance to the underground levels were.

 [ENTER Superboy from Smallville, Kansas] Conner followed behind Marie; he took in the basking of the sun, feeling it's energy bring back more of his strength- it'd been a while since he felt this good (physically) considering he'd been buried under the Tower's ruins for months. As Marie slowed he did as well, lowering near the tops of the trees. The 'destroyed' institute was once again in sight as they flew in closer.((FWAH. It's something. :T))

Kesshou waved at Rogue as she entered. "Hey." She watched Conner walk in behind her teammate and waved to him as well.

"Hey Kesshou, did we miss much?" Marie asked, then heard an excited discussion reaching her ears after entering the underground facility. Rogue blinked her green eyes once and continued down the hallway toward the X-Men War Room, "Ah reckon we did miss a bit. Hey Kansas, Ah think it hit the oscillatin fan in here! Hurry up!".................................... As Rogue hurried herself back to the War Room, Oracle was pulling reports streaming in from where the hacker accessed. Barbara's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "That's odd. It seems that I.O. has cut power where they're fighting the four escapees. Does that make any sense... What the... I.O. just had a breach blow in one of their exterior doors... I.O. is reporting one Blackhawk down from Arell L'Amour, and they're engaging him with three..."Babs' voice trails off and her head turns slightly on it's side. Turning around in her chair, Oracle faces Scott Summers, "Ummmm Cyclops? What's a Mark VIII Sentinel?"MahoHaku Looking for grim quote from Cyclops in three... two.. one...

"Well... Not TOO much Rogue." Kesshou started as she walked with her fellow X-Man.
She leaned over Barbara's shoulder as her heart sank hearing her talk about the Mark VIII. "They're not good news... I wish Michelle was here." Kesshou's ears went flat and her tail tucked between her legs.

Okay. Break time, officially over. Conner followed Kesshou and Rogue as the three hurried into the War Room to find a busy Oracle. He was on stand by, ready and rearing to go for whatever they needed to do. From the sound of things, something needed to be done.... right?
