Guys, I would like everyone's input on this(or at least whoever can have input on this):
I'm planning on making a thread in the Barton forums somewhere advertising for this guild. I'm planning on having contests and such. BUT! I don't know what kind of contests I should have(and prizes too). And I'm also not good at html/bbc code. I can somehow manage the codes if I try really hard one weekend, but I really need the help of the guild members and make this a group effort. Any ideas of what you would like to see in the topic? If you don't want to suggest it publicly here, then you can PM me or a mod if you like. Even providing images to make the post look pretty helps.

Character introduction contest: You have so many words to introduce your character and the personal moment who made them who they are.
Mapping contest: no word requirment, Describe a place (Real or otherwise), the best descriptions wins. and has his map placed on the guild
Of course for both of these you'll also have to have runners up. And I think it would only be fair if no one from AE was allowed to win. They can post, just not win.

I understand having it so that the mods can't win, but normal members? I was actually thinking about putting in restrictions on the games(like you can only submit once a day).
I don't understand what you mean on the character intro contest when you say "personal moment who made them who they are".
And the map thing is a good idea though.

Well, we're trying to get new people to join, so wouldn't it need to appeal to them the most?
Like their history, why they're what profession they are, or why they're living where they are, sometimes it's simple, sometimes complicated.

XD like we have a list of items or images and say that if you find this picture and post a link of where it was
you will get so much gold or some item
we have the items on the first page of certian maps or threads
or for more difficult we could put it on a certian page ofa thread that probably wont move anytime soon
