"We're on the way there too. and it was for a good cause, I assure you...I mean really, it all came out fine in the end."
shaking his head some, and heading out intot eh stables to saddle up Ramoth and let Serino get himself ready to go. this should be quite interesting a race. hopefully though it wouldn't disturb Malikhai and Zykariel too much to lose one or two here and there now. after all, when you gamble, you do eventually lose.

"Careful, she bites." Watching Galesen step closer and what not before a perplexed look. "Where have you been, under a rock? We enter every race we can. Unless you meant this track and there's something about it, which I would duely love to hear about right now. And my parents wouldn't send you, they'd come themselves. They know I wouldn't listen to anyone else. And rolling his eyes at his friend as he came back and proceeded to stake his claim over the horse. That was Zykariel for you. "Remember, looks can be decieving. Just keep your guard up okay?"
"You can hug him but you can't have him back yet. Despite your problems you may be experiencing with the hard headed jackass, it still doesn't give you a baby pass." Thusly handing the baby over a moment before looking to her youngest. "You're going to ride with daddy, okay?" Watching him toddle off to his father as Serino meandered out of the stables to her side and she turned a look back to Zahara as she pet at the Zephyr idly. "Well, bond tracking is still a new thing to you all. Malik still forgets it from time to time. Honestly going to drag him?"
Toddling off indeed, Serino was given a wave as he was passed and then he continued on to his father, giving a giggle and more or less falling against his father's leg and clutching there to hold himself up before looking up at his father with big triple colored eyes like his mother's. "I ride with you okay?"
Sevilin was perched on a random outcropping of rock, tending to a bloody nose that was just now clearing up. Okay he really had to lay off the runics for a bit or he was going to start hurting himself. But he needed the solitude right now to just...think and cool down. She was always covering for that boy. Like now...he knew that she knew about this thing weeks before, and yet here they were arguing about it. The boy could race all he wanted, Sevilin would be happy to let him...if only he balanced out with the practical things he needed to know. Didn't want his son ending up like him and learning all the things you should as a child when you were an adult.

"And doesn't let go either. Beware Galesen, she's a fiery one." He glanced at his friend and nodded. "I've run this track before. Nothing strange about it. The dust is awful though but I know exactly how to combat that." He gave a grin to Malikhai and clapped him on the back. "There are a few women here asking about you, Khai. I think I saw the one from the other night as well..."
She frowned for a moment then took Kelligrin and gave him a smile. "Hey baby, I missed you." Lifting the child high into the air and smiling up at him before she brought him back down, amidst his giggles and nuzzled him. He babbled at her for a moment and she merely settled him at her hip. "Aunt Piper's going to watch you while I go get Daddy, okay?"
He blinked at his mother for a moment and nuzzled his face into her neck. "Miss. Nym sleep me." Pointing to himself. "Miss lots." He glanced back at Piper and then to his mother. "I go too?"
"Yes, you're going just not with Mommy. But you'll see me soon, okay?" Thus loving and nuzzling on him a little bit more so he wasn't in the least confused over the way they felt. "Be good for Aunt Piper." THus handing the baby back. "You're darn right, I am. He needs to support his son whether he wants to or not and dammit I'm right!"
"Dammit!" Grinning and clapping his hands before he tugged on her hair and then made her arrows sing. "Dammit! Mommy right!"
"When will I learn? Sevilin is going to kill me. No, Kelligrin. Bad word." Thus she pressed a kiss to his cheek and then gave Piper a hug. "See you up there. Take care of my baby. Bye Dhairiss." Thus she hopped up on Faete and blipped out, still waving to those behind. She checked bonds and reappeared just outside of the outcropping since Faete couldn't be right in the middle. Sliding off of him, she walked over and stood in front of him hands on her hips. "You're bleeding." Thus dropping down, she frowned. "Why are you bleeding?"

Malik picked up his son, though a chuckle at Zahara's youngest already shouting cursewords.
"Of course it's alright. you know Ramoth likes to impress her young riders."
though the horse snorted in a 'oh yeah, suuure' kind of way. but a look inside at Piper.
"Alright, everything is ready to go, I got ours with me, and I assume your taking Zahara's with you? plan on teaching him anymore curses on the way?"
a chuckle at her.

"Don't get cocky. Remember how they changed that once track on you and added the mud bogs and such? You almost lost that race because you thought that you knew it. I'm just saying be careful and ready." Shaking his head lightly and then blinking at the news of women. Women he considered a distraction right now, mostly because he wasn't good with them yet...took finesse. "Really...isn't it stupid to persue someone who turned you down before?"
He gave another giggle, hugging at his father as he was picked up before reaching out and clapping hands onto Ramoth's nose, holding a moment before petting in that toddler way and returning his attention to his father. "Kelli said a bad word!" Which then got a giggle and a look over to the other child. "Can't say that Kelli! No cookies if you do." Then back to his father, pointing to the reins of the nightmare. "Can I do?"
Piper rolled her eyes as she took the little Inthara back, adjusting her hold on him somewhat for the time being. "You know, it would help if you tried to see things from Sevilin's side of things...racing is a temporary life." Though a laugh as the baby repeated things better left unsaid. "He's in good hands Zahara," Turning to look at Malik as she expertly both held Kelligrin and got herself up on Serino. That was practice. "No, I won't be. Get on your horse A'mael, we have children to surprise." Shaking her head. "I'm glad you get along with Malikhai, I don't think I could handle you and the Intharas.
And there she was...he had surmised that she would be coming after him, after all Zahara liked to entertain and finish fights once they started. He'd rather just not deal with it, especially when in her mind she was the one who was right and thus no on could tell her otherwise. "Was bleeding, and I used ruincs, that's why." Idly wiping some left over blood from under his nose and giving a sigh, leaning against his pole arm that was stuck in the ground. "I thought you were going to the race."

"Yeah, yeah. I'll be prepared for anything, I promise. I try not to get cocky but it's rough when you don't really lose." He glanced over his horse once again and frowned for a moment, then dug into her mane. "Hold still, baby. I've got to check..." Running his fingers along her neck, he shook his head. "Just dirt but you never know." Thus letting his horse nuzzle him and he chose not to give it back only because Galesen was around. He didn't care about what Malikhai saw him doing. "I told you, man, she was testing you. Best thing you can do now is put it out there that you like her, if you do. If you don't, leave it alone. But she asked about you. Girls are funny creatures. They mean the opposite of what they say sometimes and sometimes they mean exactly what they say. You just have to play it right."
He glanced at Dhairiss and his bottom lip began to tremble. "No cookies? Kelli not bad...." He buried his head in Piper's shoulder and began to cry. "Not....." Sniffle. "Bad...."
She took a moment to calm down so she didn't blast him over using runics. Reaching into her ever present bag, she spit on a cloth and gently wiped under his nose. "I am going to the race. I'm just asking you to come with me." She lightly bathed under his nose and over his cheek where he'd smeared some of it and it had dried. "I'm finally deciding to agree to disagree. I may be covering for him and letting him guilt me into things but the important thing is that our son is running a race and we support all of our children equally. Whether we approve of the activity wholly or not, we need to go. Cheer him on and hug him in celebration if he wins or comfort him if he loses."

"I don't think either of us could handle the situations that arise in the Inthara house because of that boy."
but handing the reins over to his toddler son, taking then a bit higher up. he could let his son think he was driving when he was really just playing with the reigns. less fussing that way and kept him entertained so why not.
"I'm just hoping us showing up doesn't put the kids in a state of shock."

He was cocky, didn't need an expert to see that. As Zykariel's manager though it was his job to constantly say these things and thusly keep his racer focused and what not. Though he blinked at the perplexity of girls that was being offered to him...yeah he really needed to start petitioning girl advice from his father, after all he had mom now didn't he? "But I don't even know if I like her, I barely even talked to her when we went to the tavern." He didn't understand the 'different girl, different night' thing his friend was going on...why did women have to be complicated? "Would you be happy if I said I'd talk to her in the stands while you're running circles?"
Uh oh, crying. She shushed the baby lightly, bouncing him a bit in that comforting fashion that seemed to get all babies. "No, you're not bad. That was proveribal. You'll get a cookie, as long as you don't say that bad word again, okay?" Nuzzling the baby lightly and giving Serino a little kick as she turned a look to Malik. "It's not just Zykariel, Malik. Personally I think they both have thier own troubles raising and being a family merely because the way Zahara and Sevilin were raised. They didn't grow up like you or me did." Shaking her head lightly. "I'm sure they'll be fine."
He giggled, happy to hold the reins and think that he was going all the work, wriggling a little and kicking his heels like mommy often did, even if his heels didn't touch past the saddle anyway. "Don't go fast fast okay?" Petting the horse as he said so and then mightly pleased with himself as they started on thier way, Serino falling in a bit behind Ramoth, just as always.
Ugh, she was doing that mom spit thing...he hated that thing. But he was quite used to it regardless of it being unaffective in his eyes to cleaning things. For the moment he just listened to her and thought for the moment. Apparently, she wasn't going to be horribly hard headed this time and was willing to give a little. He sighed and then merely got himself up. "Alright, we'll go." A point to Faete. "Have to ride the horse, I'm going to pass out otherwise..."

"I'm not asking you to sleep with her, Khai. You're popular because of who you are and who you know. I suppose you're attractive if you like blue. I'm not too partial to it so you know." He shrugged and leaned against his horse. "Yes, I would. Just spend some time with her and reserve judgment until after. Don't give it up too quick, Malikhai. That just makes you a man-slut."
He did quiet down after being told that if he could have a cookie and held onto her, rather excited about going. He wanted to go fast just like Mommy always did, or at least what was fast to him, which really was only about a canter, never a full gallop. He didn't know that though. "Fast?"
She finished scrubbing at his face and tucked the cloth away then took his arm and gently helped him up. "Sevilin Inthara on a horse? Did the surface get destroyed again?" Though she merely chuckled and wrapped an arm around his waist. "Come on. If Faete gets nasty, I'll smack him. Too bad I left my spoon at home." Just to get a chuckle out of him. Even when they were knee deep in a fight, they could still take a moment to enjoy various things. It was a good thing to have, especially with them both in only slightly familiar territory.

A look down at his youngest son.
"why not? Kelli wants to go fast."
though a slight grin over at Piper.
"you want to go fast, Kelli?"
then a bit more serious look.
"Llothian methods are harsh, harsher in some aspects than Innoruukian. but we've overcome such hardships, they need to as well. at least Sevilin hasn't gotten to trying to lock his son up in the house yet."

"But I don't want to be liked because I'm a D'vinn only. That's no fun and it's just not cool." Leaning against stalling again for the moment. "Alright, so I'll talk to her then and you know...get to know her I guess." Raise of an eyebrow then. "Did you just say man-slut? I think I may giggle." Shaking his head and clapping his friend on the back. "Race is in a half hour, you take your time and I'm going to go get me a good seat. Remember, no cocky. Come on Galesen, I'll be nice and let you sit near me."
"Don't like fast fast." Shaking his head in childish fashion that was all his to do before tipping his head back and looking up at his father, blinking with big triple colored eyes. "Just fast?" And looking over to Kelligrin then as apparently he wanted to go fast too. "Okay, fast." Jostle of the reins he was holding.
"Don't forget that I grew up you know...normal by most standards. Didn't try to kill my brethern and stuff just because they were there. That kind of thing? Therefore, I could teach you things and what not. And admit it A'mael, you learned a thing or two from me." Looking between the two boys a moment as they childishly talked about speed. "These things take time, I mean think about it...their kids want to do things that they themsevles never got and they don't know how to deal with that." Giving a little sigh. "But since time demands as well as little elves, let's get to the track shall we?"
"Maybe it had an earthquake. And I ride horses...I just don't like to and it's not a fun thing for me. Too much bumping and such. It's just too far to walk and I don't want to scribe another rune anytime soon. So this would be my only option. Might say the very same thing for you...forgetting your spoon. Children everywhere will go into fits of disobedience and no longer fear you." Getting himself up on Faete and helping Zahara up. "Just blip or whatever...make it short."

He nodded, "Understandable. That's why you don't just jump in. Make sure she's not just looking to be hooked to the D'vinn name. I have to watch that too though Inthara isn't nearly as influential as D'vinn. We're getting up there though." He nodded to his friend and shooed him off. "No worries, just pay attention closely or you'll miss me." Half hour meant getting Destyny saddled in his colors and heading out to the track to get her ready for the glance over.
Cheating was highly frowned upon and ended up with severe punishments given out to those who dared. Destyny would be checked, her lineage scrutinized and every inch of her body scanned, both magically and physically to ensure no unfair advantages were available. They were both well used to the process and aside from a bit of snapping in the beginning, she generally took it all in stride. Of course one examiner had lost his hand at one point but Zykariel just shrugged and mentioned how temperamental she was. He draped her in the green silk that identified her as the other half of his team and took her to the magically placed line that prevented any from passing until after the spell was revoked.
There were already ten other competitors lined up, various breeds, coloring and temperament. Some were standing docilely and some stamping and snorting. Destyny varied in her starting line moods, today she was docile since she'd embarrassed one such examiner by pulling the knot that held his pants, exposing him to all. He gently ran his fingers down her nose and over her eyes, whispering his starting instructions in her ear. The preparations were complete, now it was just biding his time until the race began. Neither he nor his horse would acknowledge any other until after the race was run.
"Yes, I know." She settled on the horse and patted him gently to calm him. Faete had never liked Sevilin. She suspected it was male possessiveness....Sevilin just didn't have that...or maybe it had been beaten out of him. Who really knew? "Well, we can't have that, now can we? Other things work just as well. And it wouldn't hurt if you added your hand to the mix. It will probably sting as badly as any of my spoons." But she leaned back against his chest. "Wrap your arms around me or you might fall off."

"Certainly."
Giving the reins a jostle, and getting Ramoth into a light run, not a gallop but not a canter either. it wouldn't take them very long to reach the track at all..but he wasn't about to do the instant translocation with the inthara child..he had a tendancy to throw up.

"Sure sure." Making his way across the track and such he indeed found his way to the stands, finding a suitable seat for himserlf where he could keep an eye on things and make sure no one tried anything dirty toward his racer. Crossing hsi arms over his chest, he much took up the apparent looks of any business man there, that was out to win.
Despite the lack of instant location ability, it didn't take long to get to said track. Though she dare say those working it were quite pleased and in half awe at seeing the Lord and Lady D'vinn there...after all, Lady D'vinn more or less established racing around the underdark and it was always a thing when she actually showed up...meant people better snap to best behavior and the like. Sending Serino off, she adjusted her hold on the baby she was holding. "Fine race day indeed...just up my alley." Turning a look to Malik. "Come along then and let's get ourselves settled and begin the spying on children as well as general enjoyment."
"Yes, but you're much more imposing than I when it come sto such thing. My job is to look at you and make you be regretful about whatever you have done. It works that way." Shrugging lightly and thusly enduring the ride to the track, which thankfully never took long...at least when Faete was the mode of transportation seeing he would gallop across the underdark, just to rattle him on purpose. He was quite happy to get off when they were there. "Stupid horse..."

Malik got off Ramoth, and let her do what she would, taking his youngest son and picking out his oldest with little trouble.
"there's Malikhai. shall we go give him a surprise, or woudl you prefer us finding a more out of the way place to watch?"
though a glance at Sevilin.
"Still don't like horses I see."
