I will say nothing in reguard to the situation at hand. I would have already dealt with things by now, but that is not the issue at stake.
The main moderator(s) have the job of making the RP flow smoothly and with entertainment. As I only pull rank on the most extreme cases, I do not believe it is my duty therefore to solve that problem. I've done my part on interventions in the story.
My suggestion? Plan for things. Introduce story elements that guide towards a single ending. So far, only Cale and I really have some plot details worked out, or so it seems. FP wanders aimlessly, while Freya and Company have to build up their resistance forces. At the rate this thing is going, its going to need some guidance quick.
In CotGCW, about now is when I started having FP begin building a droid empire, so as to be prepared for the ending when it came in the final battle. The only thing we've done is simply squabble over godly ships and random discussions between PCs.
But that's my idea. Its not FPs. He's the one that has to deal with the bumps in the road. I'm letting him work this one out on his own.

That is my own fault for not nipping this in the bud to begin with.

Nelowulf I'm not going to participate in this "court" you've cooked up. Count me out. Its not even a fair representation, and all it is becoming is another excuse to attempt to have Thrawn appear in the guild and look like he's running it. I will not make a debauchery of this guild by playing courtroom on a matter such as this. I spent hours defusing situations here and there between the sith and the jedi, and the first sign of trouble in an RP and poof! a pseudo court which is supposed to be "fun"? Perhaps I'm being an a*****e here, but isn't this why we have the RP help thread? All this does is prevent action from being done. Especially since there's a jury, all this does is shift blame from the RP moderator onto a committee. Why would this shift blame? An hour or so ago, I was ready along with Cale to just overrule and shut down Kenet. This is giving him a chance to fight back. If I remember correctly, when this guild was founded, you made it apparent that anyone could appeal to a GA ruling. I'm giving him the appeal. And this is not strictly RP. This is defining new rules for the guild as well since a lot is grey at the moment, like the OGG. I mean, have we ever decided on what would happen if a respected, regular suddenly started breaking rules? No, because we shrugged it off like it would never happen. Well it's happening. If you want out of the damn court, just say so, don't bring in debauchery and what not. When did you diffuse situations between Sith and Jedi? Where exactly? For all I can remember, there was no problem in VoW, it was me vs. you for the most part. And msot of the time, we planned a head. SotF- Modranna was your lackey, and Shathdra's guy bailed out halfway. Once again, no problem. I retconned Drako's Mandalorians and clarified his story. He had some problems with that, and I basically told him to suck it. And how is it shifting blame to a comittee? If you've noticed, the Comittee is Me, CW, and DA. We would be the mods, it's our job to handle this anyway. I also threw in Elvis because he isn't a mod, and I'd like to have a guild representative in there as well, and see what kind of solution he might be able to bring to the table. Excuse me if this doesn't seem like a good idea to the rest of you, but it sure sounds like a more democrative process than either you me or cale just saying screw you and your thoughts, we'll do it my way. You wanna know something, when I first joined gaia I was in an RP that did it like that, and I quit, halfway thru. I was a Commander, and I was in the middle of a war. And I just quit. The RP died a few weeks later. Kenet is a driving force of this RP, and so is Cale. I know Cale won't quit, but Kenet has alluded to it already. I don't want that. I respect the effort he took to making his characters, and he obviously is comitted to this guild, he made his own RP, put up with all the s**t we gave him in the beginning. And, how is it not a fair representation? As the mods, we shouldn't be taking sides. Notice, I left Cale out of the panel?. As for the RP Help Thread: Yeah, it's great for a plot idea, figuring out something, fighting a small argument, yeah. This has been going on for a long, long, while now. Maybe, I just can't come up with any good ideas, or maybe it's only Nelo who thinks so. I don't ******** know anymore. If you've noticed, my time here has been cut into a third of what it used to be. I'm not as involved as I used to be. Yes, I admit that half the time, I cannot summarize my own damn RP, so see that I admit this before it's used against me. I thought this would be a fun, or if not that, at least interesting way to get more involved. Apparently this isn't good enough anymore. Recently, I've wavered on whether or not I should continue on as a mod anymore. Basically, anything I do is always contradicted, objected to, slandered or used against me anyways. But every time, I've convinced myself to stick through. I was here when this guild was made, and that's somethng I take pride in. This guild is basically the only reason I still visit Gaia. I don't have much time to do what I used to. I used to frequent the GCD. I can't even do that anymore. This guild basically helps me keep sane, in between school, tennis, homework and my bitchy friends. Sorry for the rant, but that was a long time coming. Does anyone else object to the Court? If nothing else, it could be a pilot, but if that's a problem, I'll delete it now.

It's not to be so much as a court, as an organized way for a compromise. The way I planned it was for this:
You present your case.
He defends his case
You call whoever you want (stellar, I'm guessing) to help augment your case.
He calls whoever to help defend his case.
After this, I mediate the compromise.
You suggest solutions, you reject solutions, pretty soon there will be one or two that will be plausible. At this point, the panel votes on it, just to make sure that it's constitutional and just.
But whatever.
I'm out for the night. Tomorrow should be a fun day...
Math test, Psych Test, English analysis essay, homework, tennis, then come back and finish this.
Joy, joy, joy.

Both parties have a legitimate grievance that should be adressed. Of course, it most likely should never have came to having to instate emergency measures. Alas, it has, and we need to fix it.

FP, the only reason why you don't remember me diffusing situations is because I chose to do them over the PM system, so as to not burden eveyrone else with bullshit arguements. Do you know how many times I had someone come running to me about something? I chose to do it out of the public face, so that the RP would NOT be interrupted by stuff like this.
The OGG is part of the guild, but unless you have rewritten the rules, it still falls under guild rules, specifically behavior and grounds for expulsion. It may be Cale's creation, but if there is a disagreement, even within the outer rim, to the point that it creates a guildwide disturbance, it falls under jurisdiction of the moderators to settle it out.
And if I remember correctly, when I basically wrote the rules of the guild, I made it apparante that anyone could appeal a GA ruling. I also made it apparant, if you read correctly, that THEY had to take the initiative, not you.
Don't ever talk down to me about how we set up the guild. I know how the rules are set up, and I remember quite well the purpose we set out to do. Why? Because basically I was the one that came up with the infrastructure, remember? I wrote the rules, the loopholes. So don't go telling me how things work.
As for the representation, while it is partially biased (as the mediator, you are either judge, or jury, never both), I meant more in the representation of how a court proceeds, not the sides. Its like watching a bad SW version of Law and Order.
I'm not trying to bash you in every take you have on things, either FP. Its just that ever since you started coming in and complaining you have no time, you have tended to blame anything bad on that excuse. You can spend time playing courtroom judge, but yet you can't even post in more than one RP? I know that in the last five months, I've been shifting responsibility more and more onto other people. I can't play the logistics officer for the rest of the gaian website's life.
Don't take me for some verbose speaker of poison. I am not here to force you out. I just want things to be done right the first time, so that we don't have to waste more time in the future to correct these things.

Well... lets see, among the British Literature I like...
Shakespeare, Dickens, H.G. Wells, Jules Vern (I think he's british), Arthur C. Clark, and J.R.R. Tolkien.
Those aren't necessarily the highlights, its just those are the ones I really enjoy reading. cool
