Before he would answer her again, he would take his hand back from hers and quickly kick his shot back, clenching his eye shut at the burning liquid and exhaling sharply as he slammed the glass back on the counter. "Lankai," he told her, oblivious to how she would take his name as he clearly spoke it, or for that matter how he would explain it after her initial explosion. After all, the eradication of his own race was being helmed by his father, who was offering fifty thousand gold pieces to anyone who would bring the head of a Rakshasa to his throne room. What's worse is that he was starting to question whether or not his father would put a bounty on his head, as well, but he always chalked it up to paranoia each time he thought about it.

Climbing back onto the counter top, she sat with her legs crossed and her arms on her knees. Between her hands, she was toying with the whiskey bottle while thinking about what he had told her his last name was. One cannot be held responible for th sins of the father; she had been through that before.... she had lost a son due to her father and his sins. But at the same time... she didn't know if he was in on it and trying to help his father with killing out the race or not. IF it was his father, too... Finally, Rose lifted her head from the bottle and tried to meet her eyes with his one that he was using. "Is your father, King Marrek Lankai," she asked him, chewing on her lip after speaking as she wondered and started to question if she may of insulted him again or if he would become angry at the question. Her long tail curled about her waist and about her shot glass while she waited for an answer or an explosion one.

"Strange, not the initial explosion I'd hoped for," he thought, catching his eye with hers once again. What could he do to explain himself for his father's actions? Silently, he nodded, frowning. He wasn't proud of that fact, not anymore. Not after what his father had done. He'd begun to get lost in his thoughts again as he looked at her.

"No grandson of MINE is going to be one of those abominations of God!"
"You lay one finger on either of them and I'll have YOUR head!"
"And then what? They'll accept you as their new king?! I've done more for these penniless bastards than they'll ever realize!"

Sadly Loke would never get the chance to sire his own heir, as in the two years he was gone his father had killed his fiancée and his only son. Not his father specifically, but he did call the order. Shaking his head from his thoughts, he closed his eyes again and sighed.
"Yes, he is," he told her, wanting to deny it with every fiber in his body.

Noticing the pain in his voice, she nodded faintly before reaching up and pushing her long purple hair from her face. "We cannot choice our families," she told him, thinking that he didn't have anything to do with his father... and didn't go with what he was doing. Thinking she should change the subject before they became too down and lost in their thoughts of how their families were, she smiled weakly at him. "Want me to fix your eye," she asked him, wondering what had happened to it. Many warriors lost their eyes due to a fight, but sometimes other things happens or even accidents. Besides, she knew that she was generally an excellent healer, even if it came at a cost to her. "You know... I haven't met another of our kind before," she told him, barely whispering to him once again as she grew more relaxed with him. It was odd to meet another and know that they were the same as she was. It did help her though, a lot. IT got rid of some of the pain and lonelyness she had; if only it would take away the rest of it though...

"Can you do that," he asked her excitedly. He hadn't seen out of his left eye in over a century now, and to be honest fighting with a blind spot is entirely too difficult, and accounted for well over half the scars on his body. Hearing her comment of having never met another of their kind before, a look of surprise came across his face. He'd always been with his mother, who was of their race, and his brother, although Ceven was never around much. He always liked to explore the lands. Smiling faintly, he reached his hand out and put it on her knee, if only as a sign of comfort. His mother used to do it to him all the time. "What about your family," he asked her, curious as to whether or not his family was the only clan which actually stayed together instead of all of them spreading off on their own path.

Nodding to his question, she smiled softly at his excitement before turning to face him on the bar counter. Scooting towards the edge of the counter, she kept her legs crossed before slowly leaning forward and reaching out to take his eye patch between her fingers. Sighing softly, she shook her head at his question on her family before grabbing a hold of the patch and carefully lifting it from his head. Feeling his knee on her hand, she blushed once again and tried to pretend she wasn't doing such. Normally, for her, guys only did such when they wanted more from her, not to give her comfort or make her feel better. "My... family is dead," she told him, biting on her bottom lip afterwards. She had been young, almost too young to remember them, she could barely remember her mother; it was more like flashes of memories to her. Leaning closer to him, she moved her hands to gently press them against his head. "Hold still....and this may feel cold," she told him, waiting to make sure he was ready before doing more.

Hearing her answer, he looked up at her as best he could, having always been told to make eye contact when speaking to someone. "I'm sorry," he whispered as he felt her hands on his head. He knew what it was like to lose someone close to him like that, unfortunately. Granted, losing one's finacee isn't nearly as painful as losing your entire family. He'd hoped, at the least, she was young and would only faintly remember them. At least that way the memories wouldn't be painful for her. He certainly hoped that it was none of his father's doing. Closing his eye now, he nodded to her words before tensing his muscles a bit, expecting a cold chill to quickly run down his spine. "I'm ready," he told her before taking a deep breath.

Shaking her head and giving him a sad smile, she watched how he kept trying to make eye contact with her. "Wasn't your fault... don't worry about it," she told him, before shaking her head to clear her thoughts, causing her bangs to fall before her eyes. Nodding as he said he was ready, she closed her eyes and started to focus on his body and more importantly his damaged eye. Frowning faintly, she started to wonder in the back of her mind what had happened to him to cause such heavy damage. Finding what was wrong with his eye, she started to focus on then undoing the damage and fixing it back as if nothing had happened to his eye in the first place. While she did such, he may feel like he had been suddenly dropped into a tub full of ICY cold water. When the feelings wore off of him, he may then notice how the temp in the room had dropped a good bit and that her body was quite cold, too.

Feeling a cold chill lightning through his body, he gasped. It was as if someone had dropped him in a bucket of ice water. Almost instantly he took his hand from her knee and pulled his cloak around his body, leaving only his face uncovered as he sat there on the bar stool. Considering his strong suit was water, you'd think he'd be used to it by now. Apparently not. Beginning to shiver, he opened both of his eyes slowly, peering out around the room. He couldn't believe it. He was using both of his eyes for the first time in over a century. If she were to look at him, she'd notice a faint red haze around his cloak, how it was illuminating the room, albeit dimly and was heating the two of them up. Shivering still, he peered up at her with tears of joy streaming out of his eyes. "T-thank y-you," he stuttered out, gleefully peering around again with his eyes afterward.

Sitting still for a moment, she tried to adjust the coldness in the air of the bar by masking her aura more and letting it slowly go back to normal; she knew if it was a sudden cold then not, it could hurt someone. Shaking her head faintly, she opened her eyes as he he spoke to her. Seeing the tears leaking from his eyes, she smiled weakly, feeling drained and exhugested now. "You're welcome," she told him, moving her fingers under his eyes and wiping away his tears of happiness. "Been awhile," she asked him, referring to his eye sight. For such a strong reaction from him, she figured that would explain it.

Feeling a bit of warmth coming from his cloak, she smirked faintly before turning and laying backwards on the counter top. Letting her legs stretch out before her, she crossed them at her ankles once again while her hands rested on her bare stomach. "What happened to it," she asked him, tilting her head to the side to watch him. She was always afraid of hurting someone or upsetting them, especially him; seeing he was the only one she had really meet before of her race.

After a few moments, he felt the warmth coming back to his body, and bit by bit he started to let his cloak unravel from him. Feeling her finger against his cheek, he smiled, holding back what he could to keep from purring at her touch. It had been a long, LONG time since he'd had any interaction with people, especially of the female variety. Hearing her question, he nodded, still smiling as he watched her begin to lie down in front of him. "Over a hundred years," he told her, leaning forward on the bar again. His tears were fading from his eyes by now, and a calm, relaxed feeling was coming back to him as he watched her. Hearing her second question his smile left his face, and immediately he began to chew on his lip. He really didn't know how to answer her, being that he swore secrecy. After sighing, he started to speak. "Let's just say that if someone has a whip, and they're using it on you, you don't wanna make the wrong movement," he told her, wondering if she'd question him further about it. It's not like he minded answering or anything, but They would kill whoever he told about it.

At his reply, she raised an eyebrow in surprise to his age before shaking her head, she must be a child compared to him in age. And here she had thought she was old to some that she knew... For him to have been half-blind for a hundred years though... that would be a large and sudden change in his life now that he was able to see fully once again. Listening to his explaintion of his eye, she frowned and chewed on her bottom lip before nodding faintly. Brief flashes came to her, of when she had been beaten and whipped by Devil. A small shudder ran down her body as she tried to surpress the memories and ignore them. "I understand," she told him, forcing a weak smile for him. She was curious what had happened to him to cause such a beating and who had done it... but from the way he spoke about it, she sensed he didn't want to speak on it. So, the feline didn't ask him, figuring if he wanted to tell more... he would, and with them just meeting. she didn't want to seem rude or noisy. "I seem to only ask questions that bring a frown to your face, I'm sorry," she told him instead, watching him closely as her tail moved off the counter and started to sway back and forth along the edge.

Hearing her apology, he could do nothing but chuckle. "It's okay," he told her, looking across the bar at her before seeing her tail. Almost instinctively he began to bat at it, feeling comfortable around her now. So comfortable in fact that he was beginning to change back to his feline-like form. His face became furry and he started to smile, enjoying himself for the first time in what seemed like forever. Looking up after a few moments, he glanced at her again. "How old are you," he asked her, curious as to how much older than her he truly was.
PostPosted: Wed Sep 19, 2007 2:12 pm

Laughing softly at his reaction to her tail moving, she started to tease him with it. As soon as he'd go to bat it, she'd pull it back before moving it across the bar and swinging it almost tauntingly in front of him. Her eyes moved across his face as she noticed the fur coming out on it, a beautiful tan color; the color of his fur reminded her even more of a lion then her own did. Wondering if he was growing more relaxed and comfortable with her, she watched him curious as it if that was the reason for the change. Hearing his question, she raised an eyebrow as her eyes glittered in amusement. "Wasn't you taught it's rude to ask a woman her age," she teased him, before turning onto her side and using her right arm to hold her head up. Her tail was still swaying and taunting him, if he was batting at it still while she thought about his question. It was a complicated answer; for not all would count her age with the time she had spent on the other planes. "Close to two hundred years," she told him finally, not adding in the time she had spent in the other planes, seeing that she couldn't remember exactly how long she had been on the Celestrial plane.

Still batting at her tail, he gave up after a few moments, realizing quickly she was taunting him with it. He was chuckling faintly the whole time, his own tail--that of a lion's--slowly emerging from his cloak. He nudged the tip of his tail against hers, wondering what her reaction would be before he heard her question. "Of course I was, but we're both adults here... I think," he joked with her, the sarcasm in his voice easily detectable. Glancing up at her as she began to roll on her side, he smiled, his own eyes glittering as she told him her answer. "Two hundred, eh? You're not THAT old," he told her, grinning as he waited for her to ask him the same question.
