Ok, it's for certain, you're from the same place we're from. As soon as we find my sword, I'll make a questing stone to find yours. We've got to get a move on though, otherwise we might not find mine to begin with.
**Turns to Marissa**
I guess this will be an impromptu rite of passage for you then won't it.

::when the birdman requests no touches she stops and stands up:: My Rite of Passage was already decided upon, I have to find out about my dreams and why I'm tapping into the past like I am. If this is another world, like you said it was, then my Rite of Passage won't be completed for awhile. ::smiles sadly:: Which I guess isn't a problem for me, now. is it? ::she turms and starts walking up the path Lanhy was originally on::

**nods and grins** Maybe we'll find out about them after all.
Hey Birdy, what's your name so I don't just refer to you as Birdy.

Well... I don't know exactly, all I can figure is that we head north. The stone works like that, it just kind of points.
**holds up the shard of granite again to show them** See, it's really dim, but the further north we get, the brighter it will become.

Birdy's name is Aaron, though you may call me Death's Witness. ^_^
:: looks like he's thinking::
Sounds like a plan, to the North we go!!!

::The only problem with leaving the town of Latent, would be the fact that any direction with the exception of south...leads to ocean.
The group would head north, and soon the sweet yet pungent smell of sea water and seagulls. And then came the sound music and voices carried on the sea winds.
"Welcome to Port Latent"
The large banner read as it hung atop the entrance. Of course below that a second sign was nailed on reading...
"Closed"
The sea was as vast as it was beautiful. And the people were as bustling and flowing as the waves. The one thing that might catch the groups eye would be, the kinds of people. While on Earth their existance might be secretive, on Gaia...the supernatural is the natural. Where on Earth you might see several races walking and have it be the norm, on Gaia you'd see several species. For example, today walked a group of rather normal looking humans trotting beside a literal ball of walking flame. Dragons, monkeys, halflings and hybrids of several species of animal and mythical beast walked the rickety dock beside a sea of humans.
The dock expanded out before them, home to hundreds of boats, but not a one was touching the water. There was so much water...but no one was swimming, why? A closer inspection might reveal just how many people were infact working to repair the dock, and to repair the myriad of boats.
For some reason each boat seemed to been damaged the same way. The hulls looked as if they were partially dissolved. Bits of boat were worn or eaten away, and some sailors looked as if they were scrapping some sort of silver metallic goo off the hulls of their ships.
They had to go north...but how?::

**Telepathically** Hop on Marissa.

Aye...ye arent plannin' to swim are ye?
::A man sat beside the trio, he looked to be in his mid 60's, white hair spilled from his large flamboyant hat. A rapier sat at his side, and his peg leg twitched on the wooden docks edge.::
'Tis a very long swim to the next isle lads.
