"I-I am not sure..." Baizou admitted, sitting up slowly, "I just woke up feeling like this." He stood up and wrapped his arms around her, needing the embrace probably more than she did, "I think something very sad has happened here. I can feel it from the people around me."

Where there was usually an ambience of light, it was absence, and Ellie's eyes drooped. "It has to be with..." she knew who she had to be talking about, but the name wouldn't rasp out of her throat. It felt as if she did, it would be poison spilling out of her lips. Her hands slid up the back of his shirt, to hold him firmly against her, with fingertips pressing into his bare skin. "You get it from Tomo. He can sense emotions.. I think.." she said softly to his ear.

((Actually, Tomo's about as empathic as a dead goat. That's Bai's unique power. He can't heal like Tomo can. In fact, he opens wounds instead of healing them.))
Baizou gasped lightly as her cold hands touched his skin, but relaxed into her, "Not that I know of." He replied quietly. "I just hope this feeling will go away soon. I want to be happy for you."

((Guh, sorry, I sort of forgot if that happened with Tomo or not.. The cold is really gettin' to me! Haha, I want to see an empathatic dead ghost! What about Casper?!))
Ellie whispered an apology about her cold hands, and gave a half hearted laugh. "Don't be happy for me. You don't have to be anything for me but Baizou." she said softly, holding him tightly.

((i read it when i got back from taking bmage to the airport....))
Kaen sat in bed, shaking slightly. She had woken up abruptly several hours earlier, but couldn't figure out why. Slowly she climbed out of Kai's bed and walked down the stairs, glancing around the inn.

Tomo walked downstairs in a turtleneck sweater and baggy jeans, "Hey, everyone," He greeted tiredly, walking to the bar. "Anyone need anything?"
