He has a Plasma rifle, a Dawn blade, a hard-wired target lock, and a Shield Generator. 3nodding
Sweet stuff! xd
I believe that is all that he has, other than a manditory bonding knife. 3nodding

No. He's a special character, and special characters come with what they have listed. No swapping equipment.

hmm oh well, i was hoping for a flamer cause those go well with close combat squads...

I would personally stick with the plasma rifle, even if you did have a choice. You can actually hit something futher away with that weapon. If you are out of range with the flamer, well, too bad. neutral Plus, the flamer isn't nearly as strong. 3nodding Oh, and if you can afford it, just get the 21 battlesuits that he allows. rolleyes You can have PLENTY of flamers in that kind of set up. I actually have about 3 guys with twin linked flamers (Considering that I only have 7 battlesuits! rofl ). 3nodding

Well, I destroyed an entire squad of Chaos space marines (With certain upgrades) with only my command squad (Normal 75+ point commander and 2 body guards). I took a few wounds for it, but it was pretty sweet. biggrin

ok i have a question! i was thinking of using the comander shadowsun xv22 battle suits as a battle suit variant. i was wondering if any one had some good stats that would be fair to go with this posable battlesuit variant?

You might want to...
a) Check Imperial Armour 3 - Taros Campaign.
b) Check ForgeWorld for nice Battlesuits.
c) Check the pricetag of Shadowsun, and see that it'd not be that cheap.
d) Just use battlesuit normal rules if you're using them as battlesuits.

Honestly. You dont need more than one dawnblade in farsights squad. 1-7 crisissuit bodyguard, thats more than enoiugh. My friend uses farsight all the time. his body guard all have missle pods, then either a plasma rifle or fusionblaster, fusion blaster ones have targeting arrays and plasma ones are twin-linked, then for hard wired systems he has them all with multi trakers and target locks and drone controllers, each usually has at least one drone and then he fills up additional points with more drones to the squad. Complete pain in the.... well a**s. while it takes up ALOT of points, it makes up for it. Big time. usually killing most stuff off in the opposing army all by itself.

Reasoning behind his equiptment:
-Missle pods: the 36 inch kill bubble, 14 ap4 shots, somethings gonna die. Ranging from light inf., to medium vehicles.
-Fusion Blasters with targeting arrays: So they hit usually since when you shoot something with a fusion blaster you want it dead. Tanks or independent charaters, doesnt matter, usually dead with 4 of em firing at it. Also makes sure a few of his missles hit thier targets.
-Twin-linked plasma Rifles: When you do the math, twin-linked at bs3 hits roughly on a 2+. 4+= 3/6s of the time, then 3/6 of 3/6's is 9/12's or 3/4's. I asked him "why not targeting array for the same amount of points?" he responded, "cause it looks cool to." Not to mention it has farther range than the fusion blaster for killing termies.
-Multitrakcer: "Duh! lots of daeth when an enemy gets close." More than 30+ high strength, high ap shots.
-Target Lock: After playing against me he added this. before he had this, i had 4 strom trooper squads with plasma and melta guns killing him and he could on deal with them one at a time allowing me to kill most of his squad before my knights hit him. You could say he learned.
-Drone controller and Drones: With such an expensive squad on the field, he had to protect if they just so happened to get caught in the open before they opened up with thier wrath they could easily absord the casualties.

He kept the squad pretty even on the guns. 4 plasma rifles including farsight, and 4 blasters. I hate this squads so much. And it hurts to know i am the one who wrote it up for him.
He wants to know if there is anything else he can do to improve its killing efficency and im outta ideas to make this monster any better. So im asking. Guys?

I'd say take your other, mandatory Shas'o or 'el, and attach him to Farsight's bodyguard. He should bring more Drones to the party.

Now... What if you go up against Nids? They get in pretty close REALLY fast. neutral His missle pods, plasma rifles, and fusion blasters may be scary, but they do nothing in close combat. What do you do against that, then?
Also, Nids have MASSIVE numbers. 3nodding Even though you have a bunch of missle flying and are backed up by plasma, you can't hope to finish an entire fleet of Nids. They WILL get you, eventually. sweatdrop
That is the only thing that I can think of that can beat the missle pod idea. All in all, I like it. 3nodding It is a goo thing that I don't glue my pieces on! xd (Interchange and BAM! I have the same set up. wink )
I can't wait until I become a lifeguard! I will get SO much more money than I do now. xd Then, I can afford the rest of Farsight and his body guards. biggrin

Edit: I notice that I REALLY abuse emoticons! xd
