"Okay, great!" Yugi said brightly, then glanced over at Kira. He wondered if she was truly the person he had known before; so much had changed. "You want to come, too? Your laptop might get wet if it starts raining."

She blinked and looked up like she had just snaped out of her daze "oh..alright.." she said standing up and closing her laptop.

What seemed like hours later-- though really wasn't, for the Shadow Realm muddled with real time-- Shadi and Khalid had constructed a body matching the former host's, Ryou's. Shadi had demanded it, and Khalid couldn't argue, for Shadi was just repeating fate's meaning. The tomb robber was to live on. Well, Bakura had only been halted in time, but he would have to be mobile. And since his host was dead-- which threw off the balance of Millennium Items for a while, since that hadn't exactly been planned-- there was no other host suitable. So Bakura would have to be in posession of his own body, which would be a mirror of the previous host's. Ryou's. Though there would be no hikari soul.
When the body was finished, the two stepped back to study it. It was empty, and they wanted to appreciate the moment before Bakura's soul took control of it. When this was over with, Khalid held up the soul-card. It glew brightly in the gloom of the Shadow Realm as a beam shot forth from it and into the body. Soul transfer completed.
The first movement from Bakura was a smirk after drawing in his first breath. He had noticed that inside of the card it was so blank. Worse than the Shadow Realm, in his opinion. Now as he regained feeling in his body, Bakura was startled to see both Shadi and Khalid standing before him. Memories came back to him in a haze, and he quickly glanced down at his form. It was Ryou's body. No, not quite. It was a mockery of his hikari's body. Besides, there was no other soul in it. Just a false form. His soul was bound to this body, not an item, unlike before, when he was inside the Millennium Ring. Reaching out with his mind, ignoring Shadi and Khalid for the moment, Bakura felt the connection with his Millennium Item, though it was only a wisp of what it had been before. There was no way for him to transfer his soul back into it now. Besides, it would be useless anyway. He could tell that nobody was wearing it.
Now Bakura looked upon the two figures in front of him, his expression a calm one. Utterly calm; almost a mirror of Shadi's. It was like that for a moment before his smirk came back. "I know you must've done this for a reason. What do you want with me?"

Yugi seemed about as giddy as could be; he bounced on the heels of his feet, grinning. "This'll be great!" He exclaimed before staring to leave the park, all but skipping from there.
Atem sighed, shaking his head at his hikari's happiness. "Yeah, great." He said, much less enthuistic. Glancing over at the others, he quickly shook his head so they didn't get the wrong idea. "It is great to have you over, don't get me wrong. I'm just not used to Yugi being so bouncy."

Ishizu put a hand over her mouth to hide her laugh. "Don't worry. I'm not sure if I've ever seen Yugi like that either. It's almost scary. Hey, it is scary." She said, following Yugi out of the park, pausing slightly to wait for the others.

kira stood her hand into her pocket carring her laptop asshe followed them.Luckly nobody had noticed that the hand she hadcoughed into had blood on it.Thats why she stuck it in her pocket.

Bakura swiftly stepped out of the alley, where he had found himself after the Shadow Realm dizzolved. Shadi and Khalid were gone, and it took a moment for Bakura to see that he was in Domino. It shouldn't have shocked him; where had he expected to be? Still getting used to the body, which was like wearing a glove, he made his way to the most familiar location; Ryou's apartment. He hoped that it would still be empty; now as he thought about it, Bakura started to wonder about Ryou. Or, actually, the body. Had they left the Millennium Items on in respect, or did they steal them from the body? In Bakura's mind, "they" meant Atem, Malik, Ishizu, Yugi, and Kira. All those people.
Most likely they had taken the items. It would've been too risky to leave them on the body, even if it was buried. In a sing-song voice in his head, Bakura repeated the lines to a chant he remembered from when he could go through Ryou's memoried.
'Did you ever think, as a hearse goes by,
That you might be the next to die?
They wrap you up in a big white sheet,
And bury you down about six feet deep
They put you in a big black box,
And cover you up with dirt and rocks,
And all goes well, for about a week,
And then the coffin begins to leak!
The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out,
The worms play pinochle on your snout.
They eat your eyes, they eat your nose,
They eat the jelly between your toes.'
As he walked down the street, Bakura suddenly realized that he didn't know where he really was. Before he had used Ryou's memories to find his way around the town, along with other useful information he found there. But now with the boy dead, Bakura found himself utterly alone. He struggled for a moment to recall all he could that he had already known from Ryou, and was relieved when he found that he could still bring up things he already knew. Not as clear as before, but all of the old memories were still there.
Now Bakura changed his path. Smirking, he quickly forced himself to keep his face vacant. Bringing up more memories of Ryou's, he was able to construct an expression that mirrored his hikari's. There were one or two faults, but for somebody who hadn't seen Ryou for a while, it was just perfect.

A while later, the group arrived at the game shop. Yugi noticed that the closed sign was still up, which meant that his grandfather hadn't been downstairs yet. Or even waken up. Sighing, Yugi made a note to make sure the alarm in his grandfather's room was set from now on.
Suprisingly, as Yugi approached the shop, they could see a figure standing by the counter, shaking slightly. Yugi frowned, then a worried look came over his face. This couldn't be good; that person obviously wasn't his grandfather. But there didn't seem to be any harm so far; nothing was broken, the alarm hadn't gone off. Halting in front of the doors, Yugi waited for the others to catch up, since he had been walking faster than them. All signs of happiness were gone from his face.
Atem's eyes narrowed when he saw the person in the shop. His thoughts ran along the same lines as Yugi's. Why would somebody go into a closed shop, only to just stand there? Moving silently to the front doors, Atem pushed carefully against them to find them unlocked. Either Yugi had made a mistake, or this person had gotten in without breaking anything.
Drawing in a sharp breath, Atem burst into the shop, not saying a word to the others. He darted over to the person and, grabbing their shoulders, whipped them around to slam them into the counter, grasping his-- for Atem could tell it was a boy now-- collar, glaring. His eyes widened in utter shock when he found himself facing an equally scared Ryou.

Ishizu couldn't help but gasp in surprise-- "R-ryou?!" Not really aware that she had said this out loud, she hurried to follow Atem into the shop. Fumbling for a switch, light flooded into the room so she could get a better look. A part of her was strongly saying this couldn't be-- unless something more had happened while she was in Egypt. But raise the dead? Remembering Khalid, tears quickly filled Ishizu's eyes. She had forced herself not to think about him-- he was past news in her mind. But now... this was too much. It had to be some joke. A fraud.

Ryou cringed violently in the sudden burst of light. He backed away slightly, eyes wide. Atem had let him go and stumbled backwards in shock, looking stunned. Ryou wrapped his arms around his frail form, shivering as his gaze flickered from face to face. "What--" He managed to say, but seemed unable to get out much more. "I don't-- This was--" He choked out, taking a few steps backwards himself.
Atem managed to speak in a calm voice after a while. "No-- You were dead." He said, his voice dropping into a growl. His eyes moved to the boy's chest, where he noticed there was no Millennium Ring. He could see this was Ryou-- Bakura was locked in a card, and he couldn't have done this without a Millennium Item. This was impossible. It must be some sort of illusion. But no... He had touched the boy himself. He sensed no other Millennium Item powers nearby. There was no explanation. Growing feirce, Atem glared at the boy. "How are you here?!"
Yugi hung back, looking as dazed as the others. He seemed to snap out of it when Atem shouted at Ryou, quickly jumping forward and grabbing his yami's arm. "Don't." Glancing in his friend's direction, Yugi fought off tears that were threatening to come. "Can't you see he's as surprised as us? For God's sake, let's settle down first."

Yugi cautiously went over to his friend, taking Ryou's hand in his own and leading him into the closest chair. He was a little suprised to actually touch the hand; he had been thinking it was some sort of trick. He had been hoping it was some sort of illusion. However Ryou had been brought back, it wouldn't turn out good in the end.
Ryou shakily sat down on the chair, his eyes still darting back and forth. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he brought his knees up to his chest to curl up in a ball. "I--I don't know." He said in answer to most of their questions. Tears filled his eyes, but he quickly closed them. "Please... I just don't know. I don't remember anything. I-- I--" There were a few moments of silence as he tried to make sense of his mind. He slumped in defeat as nothing more came to him.

Malik said, trying to add some humor to the situation.
