>_>;; I just realized that SOMEHOW I ended up on the first page of this thread, and started correcting people *sigh* Anyways... I'm here for my monthly or w/e check up to see how you guys are doing. Um, I'm also thinking about changing my major, but I still retain my vast knowledge of everything clarinet, so ASK ME QUESTIONS. I might try to rebuild my own forum, but *shrug* Last semester it turned out I wasn't in the right Applied Lessons class needed for a jury piece, so I worked on the first movement of Webber's Concerto no. 1 for nothing, and now its gettign worse again *sigh* I'm back to 2nd chair in college, but I don't really care anymore :/

I'm almost always 1st, or I'm very upset.When I have to, I also play 1st or 2nd trumpet.Since there is only 2 trumpets in band, and 3-4 in class. I don't mind.they're both awesome instruments.

whats wrong.. u seem so upset when u say u dont care about playing the clarinet anymore..... i just upsets me that someone would give up such a wonderful instrument... and i knoe you didnt say you were giving it up... it just seems almost like thats what u want to do...

Gaspeth! I found out that the clarinet choir's playing Mozart for S&E! (Okay, so I should have known it before now, but I hadn't looked at the music until we played it today during clarinet choir rehearsal at lunch sweatdrop ) And it's one of his most famous...it's so famous I don't know the title, but I know the music by heart surprised So now I am doing not one but TWO Mozart pieces of awesomeness! heart blaugh heart

I'm thinking of playing cello, I aboslutely love the sound of cello and it'd help me when I get into youth orchestras [if I ever do next year] since I have to follow the style of the strings... sweatdrop yeah, i absolutely love the sound of the bass and the cello... beautiful really. 4laugh they're expensive, though. sweatdrop
My All Southern concert was great...just wish I could've made friends with the other clarinetist :[ [[i have to admit the second chair guy was 1337, the first chair was out of tune and couldn't tongue...i sat down last night and watched the video and realized how bad the tone was in the hall O_O;;]] biggrin my first time performing with an orchestra twas fun, we site read Mahler's first symphony too!!!!!!! [the third movement] ^_^ I love mahler's music <3!
sadly my high school auditions seemed to have died out, my bd called my mom and told her that the performing arts academy is going to try its best to be better then OCHSA [ gonk i just hope he's right...I remember when I was at carnegie [performing and I saw them...1337 people...very 1337.............]
and also the idea of going to tanglewood, I realize how stupid it'd be to audition for an audition two weeks away!!! Especially when me and the metronome don't mix!! hm I think I should revise the way I do long tones....
Oh! <3 I got into all state! ^_^! w00t!
besides that currently I'm working on Weber's clarinet concerto no. 1 , the first movementfor my solo at chamber music [I guess its like solo and ensemble] since its my first time doing a solo infront of so many people it might be too crazy to do but I'm doing it anyways! Even though the concert is on the 25th O_O; [although my teacher is still thinking about it...of course I shall prove I can do it!!!!!!!]
besides tha...thats so cool nevira!!!!!!! Mozart <3 biggrin our clarinet choir did mozart last year...the firsties were icky when they played it. I'm not sure what song we're doing this year though... I hope all goes great :]

I don't know what it stands for, but its like academic competitions and stuff, like debate and number sense and stuff.

O____________________O; uhhhhhhhh so anyways DD: DON'T KILL MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! gaspiness x_x; I thought I wasn't so busy this week, turns out I still am ;_; a jillion tests, all these grammar exercises, art stuff... emo Band has being going great [ignoring all state...for Istill get the giggles when playing "hambone"] we have a competition at Ming Hall [a hall at cal state ful.] X_X FIRST to go up, at 8 am [I don't mind, its just that we're one of teh only two middle school groups there....which scares me.......] my clarinet seems to disagree with me, for the past month dear Chihiro has been acting up o_O;. I think its the reeds, or maybe its lack of long tones? =/ I be confuzzled............... back to practicing biggrin

Yayness! I seem to have found a thread and guild that shares my passion for all things clarinet and music related!
I've been playing clarinet for 6 years, and I love it to death. It's going to pay for my college tuition. mrgreen
I've played tenor saxophone for the last 4 years, however, I play very rarely.
I just started playing a friend of mine's bass clarinet a few weeks ago.
I did, in fact, name my clarinet, her name is Claire Annette. My's saxophone's name is Larry.
I love music in all forms.
