Kaida felt like he was holding something back, but she said nothing. 'If I told you to do what you wanted...why wouldn't you kill the boy?' She rephrased.

'Because still in your deepest hopes, you want the boy to live. To be apart of our family. Don't you?' He replied softly. 'Do you not think that I can give you children of your own? So why do I suffer so much for this one child, newborn, if I can do so?' He asked. 'Because Kaida, he has my blood. I smelt it as soon as it was spilt. He is of my human family, whether it's my family, or if I had brothers or sisters, I don't know. But he's blood family.'
(Is that ok? I think it would be an interesting turn in events, don't you?))

Kaida felt awake now. 'Yes...I know you can...I never doubted that.' She said. She listened to this new theory. 'You're family?' She asked, now intrigued with the boy.
Yawning, Cayden turned and rolled over. Unfortunately, he rolled right off the branch.

kaida sighed, trapped. 'Because sometimes I just don't want to hurt you.' She told him, though not entirly true. there was no reason why she didn't drink from him, but she had a feeling he'd be feeding her for a while.
Cayden sat up, dusting himself off. He climbed back up the tree, sitting on a branch opposite of Kale's.
