Crenu rose an eye brow as he watched the girl run into the back to help her father out, even he wasn't that cheerful as a child. But there was no gain in questioning the little quirks of every person he saw, there were simple to many to count. But the one quirk he couldn't really ignore at the moment was Kasiya's ever present smile that at this point was plastered into his mind. He could never see her again for the rest of his natural life and that smile would probably be the last thing he remembered. His mind was only brought out of its scrutinizing thoughts by the mention of a battle and the way she pushed the strand of hair out of her face. For a moment Crenu forgot that she was just another trainer and Kasiya appeared almost...cute? It crossed his mind that Crenu had never actually spent any time chasing girls or anything of that nature despite his current age, but he didn't have time to waste of novelties like romance and pushed the thought out of his head. While it was true that battling was all he was here to do and that pushing Poliwag towards evolving was an attractive concept, he wasn't sure the little guy could fight without injuring himself. Not only that, but Kasiya was a strong trainer, those badges didn't just walk into her pockets or anything. But a battle against a trainer like her, even if it was just for 'fun', might have been just what he needed to evolve and grow a backbone. Not to mention Hitmonlee was ready to fight and was still fresh, as was Ariados. Crenu gave him pokemon a once over and came to rest on Larvitar. He had been with Crenu longest of all, and had gotten plenty of battle experience since they left home. He was probably close to evolving as well, but despite his tough treatment even Crenu wouldn't bring Larvitar out to battle just yet. He was going to need a pokecenter visit before he could battle again, or at least a full nights rest. "I can never say no to a battle."

"Power play," Mitsu muttered, "no surprise there." And really it wasn't. What was he doing starting off with Fire Wheel anyways? A twinge of pain touched her heart to see her dear Ivysuar burn under Felsics undoubtly scorching flames. Her usual plan would to simply heal and wait it out. However, Synthesis would heal the grass type right back up all right, but only to be mowed down once more. Mitsu grit her teeth, a bit of anger flaring up deep inside her. Again, she wanted to growl realizing that she would lose the fight a lot sooner than even she expected. Her hands transformed from a deep red to a burning dark crimson. One might have thought of it as fire as the aura lept up only to reconnect with her hand. That. Is. It. Healing? Pfft, screw that. Even Take Down was not enough. "Ivy! Double Edge!" Mitsu shouted to her leafy Pokemon. She breathed in. Even if she was most likely about to lose the power rushing through her body felt intoxicating. Even a normal person would have found it strange, to find a mere battle so empowering.
Ivy braced himself as best as he could as his entire being was engulfed in flames. He let out a roar of pain as he could feel his palm leaves burning under the red and orange flame. It drained his energy faster than standing near that stupid volcano in Lavaridge. But he survived. Mitsu's recent training, while odd and painful, did help. In the past few days he had taken on a Blaziken and had a short sparing match with Sapphire before he was whisked away last night. Once the fire died out he was left with just enough energy to make a last ditch attempt. But why Double Edge?! She'd never ordered it before making it more difficult to grasp the concept, especially when the results would end in his own defeat. It was like asking him to commit suicide. But she was the trainer so he complied. Ivy mustered all the might he could before launching his body at Felsic.

Jun grinned broadly when the Nurse Joy gave him permission to play with their hair, his nose wrinkling under his glasses. He waved a hand in blatant refusal when she mentioned payment, however. As much as he loved the extra green (he was saving up for the fall season's fashions, which he was determined to be ahead of), it ate at his fickle conscience to take money from those who needed it more than he did. After all, his ultimate goal was the beautification of the whole world... sometimes the rewards were simply not in paper bill form. Thus sometimes his fees were exorbitant, and sometimes he was simply satisfied with a sandwich or just a job well done. A shower of compliments never hurt his narcissistic ego either.
At the moment, though, the most dominating reason beyond his usual temperament regarding billing was the fact that he did not want to go to that Aidan fellow about it. I mean homophobic is one thing, but pure ignorance of Jun's blazing glory? Reeeduuunkulous. The guy didn't even bat an eye, and helll, Jun'll even admit that he's an attention whore and will demand his tolls. Leeron, the Jynx, sensing Jun's inner fuming, stepped out of her obscurity (which was basically this poster's forgetting her somewhere) and purred her reassurance that he deserved better than a mutt anyways. For if he had apparently refused her, he certainly needed something much more classy than some scar-faced kid!
And so, Jun left to the back, not before leaning over the counter and giving that lovely Nurse Joy a light, amiable kiss on the cheek, as was his traditions for those he truly enjoyed. Off the fellow went with his little black bag in hand and Leeron in tow, sashaying her hips as usual.
Truthfully, Jun wasn't very fond of kids -- they never had an appreciation for the finer things in life. But most of the kids, for their part, rather enjoyed Jun's company, for he quite often corrupted them with the forbidden fruit of the PG world, from scandalous stories and videos like the Yes Dance. In his mind, he believed he was merely showing them the good stuff in life, and that there was little point in censoring things that were out there for a reason. At the same time, he taught them a handful of reputable morals and had tabooed the topics sex and drugs; he told the kids that baby-making was a rather icky, messy matter, and that they ought not to think of it, and that if they ever saw anyone who looked like Michael Jackson they ought to steer clear for the sake of preventing trauma. And drugs did terrible things to the teeth and cuticles, heavens knows. Other Jun-isms: Fight if you must, but fight with class; don't steal unless the son of a beeyotch deserves it; only lie when you can get away with it; etc., etc.

Train was surprised as well by how fast they seemed to move through the line, even though when they'd first entered the place had been completely packed, and was no different even as a whole bunch of people left.
Once M.A. had given her Pokemon to Nurse Joy and the bazillion Chansies running around, she was next up and helped Pikachu hop up onto the counter, smiling and thanking Nurse Joy. "You guys sure are getting things done awfully quickly with all these people here," Train said, glancing at the people that made up the still enormously long line behind her.
"Yes, it's not so bad. We had more Chansies brought over, and they're really a lot of help," Nurse Joy replied, giving a small laugh. Train opened her mouth to say something else, but the people in line behind her called out annoyedly for her to hurry up if her Pokemon was already being taken care of--they had Pokemon that needed care, too.
So, with that, Train removed herself from the area around the counter with a small wave to the nurse, and looked around for M.A., finally spotting the other girl sitting against a wall, that strange paintbrush-tailed Pokemon painting on a clipboard, Ulani trying to see what it was. Train headed over and took a seat next to the girl, curiously watching the other trainer's Swablu and the Smeargle.

Robin grinned up at Jaeshan and nodded, she had run into M.A. a few times and she was sure to turn up again sometime. If not she was pretty tall so it shouldn't be to hard to spot her. Maybe she should ask for the girls Pokenav number, she seemed to not mind her to much, well her pokemon liked Luffy at least. Well Robin wasn't really quite sure what to do right now but it was getting around lunch time and she was sure Brook and Raz would be getting hungry, Luffy might be to even if he was still a bit pudgy. "Well the guy I am traveling with offered me lunch and said he would pay for anyone I brought along. Would you be interested in something like that? If not its ok!" She added that last bit on a bit hastily. She didn't want to make it seem like he had to hang out with her. He probably had a lot of better things to do then spend time with a beginner trainer like her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since there wasn't much more trouble going on in the town Officer Jenny decided to send Aidan off on an 'important' mission to make her a cake. Aidan didn't really see why this was so important but apparently it was to calibrate the fact that soon the town would be getting rid of there little problem. Aidan just suspected she wanted to eat cake. Whatever the real reason might be he had to make a few stops to pick up some items since Officer Jenny had demanded he make everything by hand which meant making the frosting by hand as well and he just didn't have the ingredients at the pokemon center to do that.
Lucky for him there was a small store in town that he often did his shopping in for items he couldn't order from the pokemon center. It didn't take to long for him to find the things that he would need, using the money that Officer Jenny had so kindly provided him for these things he stepped out of the shop. Bag in hand he headed down the road to the pokemon center. It was getting kinda close to lunch time so the back of the kitchen would be kind of busy, lucky for him though the baking section would be nice and clear since that was only used in the morning and for desert if he decided to bake anything.
Now that he thought about it he was really the only one who baked, that might just be because he forbade the others from using them, he was still wary of letting them even in the kitchen. Stepping through the doors of the pokemon center he gave a small nod to Nurse Joy who was a little surprised to see him again so soon. "Officer Jenny commissioned a cake from me." He explained to the nurse before she could ask.
"Your baking again? My you should just open up a store. I am sure that you would do great. Then I wouldn't get you working just for me though." The nurse said earnestly. It was true, Aidan was probably the best chef in town for reasons he didn't quite understand. He often got called upon to cater parties or bake a cake for someone so this was nothing new.
"If I did open a place you would get everything on the house." While he wasn't friends with a lot of people Nurse Joy was probably his favorite person and he would do just about anything for the wonderful woman. Still he had to get to work if he intended to finish anytime soon. Heading into the back towards the kitchen he frowned slightly as he heard the kids squealing over something. Peaking into the room curiously to make sure they were being ok he spotted something he did not expect. Inside the room was Jun giving the kids a much needed hair cut and playing with them. Maybe he had judged the other a little harshly before, after all not everybody who didn't really know the kids came by to play with them or even help them. He might have to see if he had a little extra batter from the cake left over. With that thought in mind he headed to the kitchen in order to get to work.
Jun attempted for quick-snip haircuts for the last two kids, and although the first one ended up a bit too short, the result was good enough, he decided. The kids, naturally, couldn't tell the difference and were simply glad that Jun would let them move again. If they dared fidget and the result ruined his work of perfection, they were fully aware that Scary-Jun might come out and make them work their thighs and buns.
A little worn out by all the children's enthusiasm, Jun found a way to sneak out of the bathroom unscathed and without one of the buggers hanging on to his legs. Clinginess was not an attractive trait in any gender, young or old, but it was hard to preach to eager-eyed, smiling little runts so the man didn't bother. On his way out, however, his delicate noise caught a whiff of something marvelous, if not fattening. One lens of his glasses slipped through the crack in the kitchen door, catching sight of none other but that sexy ignorant fellow Aidan. Oh, right, he baked. He had made Jenny's birthday cake last year, Jun recalled, remembering the one bite of that ridiculously sumptuous devil's cake that Jun had managed to swallow before his gluttonous relative ate it all. How it didn't go to her hips, he never found out.
It seemed everyone, or nearly everyone in town liked this Aidan guy. Perhaps even more than they did Jun, the man thought for a moment jealously, but rejected the notion nearly as quickly. But that guy was so damn helpful all the time; sometimes in his salon clients' idle chatter they'd mention something Aidan did to help them out, or their husbands out, or maybe he'd pop up in the paper which Aidan sometimes read if he finished his magazines... But jeez. Did the fellow ever have time for himself? Maybe he'd be perkier if he did.
Jun shrugged, deciding to forget thinking about the guy before going to the common room to bid farewell to the Nurse and take his leave.
-------
M.A. smiled in greeting when Train returned. Then, there was a brief span of silence, for M.A. was sporadically talkative and quiet, depending on the temperament of the notions flying through her mind. At the time, nothing inspiring hit her, and so she didn't bother to speak, just comfortably zoning out as was custom for her. Sae was often exasperated with her for this absent-mindedness, and this trait of hers was the primary reason her parents had been against her traveling. That, and of course, her tendency to create minor disasters of all sorts. At least she had a pretty good intuition.
The girl's PokeNav broke the silence in a series of beeps. The girl took her time in finding the little machine, a bigger grin spreading as she read the message. "Ah, Train, I think I'm gonna grab some lunch with my brother at one of the booths at the plaza. But if you'd like to come, feel free," she said, getting a hold of the twitching Ulani, whose curiosity was about to give her a self-induced stroke. The Smeargle, seeing that his love was leaving, slipped the board into his satchel and stood at M.A.'s feet, making it clear that he was coming too.
Aidan was pretty fast at making cakes, considering that he didn't like to use machines a lot of the time to help him out. He was holding the bowl in his arms as he used the whisk to mix everything up, his hand was moving at a fast pace. When he deemed it done he quickly poured it into two round containers he had selected. He waited for it to settle as he inspected the small amount of batter he had left, he hadn't really intended on making extra but it seemed like he had. Never one to let food go to waste he quickly made up his mind and pulled out two very small tins and gave them a quick greasing before poring the rest into each one separately. Putting them into the oven and setting two timers, one for the little mini cakes and one for the larger cakes.
That part done Aidan quickly swept away that mess before grabbing another bowl and began mixing a few things from his frosting. Once all the ingredients had been added he picked the whisk up again and began to mix them together speed mattering this time in order to make the frosting nice and fluffy. Over all it was more frosting then he was used to making but he was making two cakes and they both needed decorating so he naturally needed more. When the frosting had reached appropriate fluff levels he set it down on the counter before grabbing two other bowls and dolloped some frosting in each before grabbing the food coloring. Taking the green out he added a few to one of the bowls and mixed it in repeating the process before it became a color he found to his liking. Reaching out to get some more food coloring he paused for a second not quite sure which color to choose, pink or red, or maybe blue... Shaking his head he grabbed the red and mixed it in until it became a bright color that would look very nice against the white of the rest of the frosting.
Wrapping up the green and white frosting he put them in the fridge so they would stay fresh longer. Fishing through some drawers until he found what he was looking for he pulled out fifteen things that looked like a screw with a really flat and big head on its top. Setting them on the counter he pulled out a frosting bag and an appropriate tip for it. That all done he filled up the frosting tube with the bright red and picked up one of the small things. It was always best to make these things early so that he could freeze them so that they were easier to transfer onto a cake. Holding it up to eye level and grabbing the frosting bag he put a small glob on the middle before he started to turn it adding small little lines around it making it get bigger and bigger as he went. It took him about two minutes before resting on the little screw was a perfect red frosting rose. He had one down and fourteen more to go.
Aidan managed to finish up all of the roses and stick them in the freezer too cool down just as the oven beeped signaling that the cakes were done. Grabbing some oven mits he pulled out the two larger cakes, he had removed the smaller ones earlier, and set them on the rack to dry. Now he just had to wait for the larger one to cool. He could probably frost the smaller one now though. That thought in mind he pulled the white frosting out and set to work.
After cutting off the little round tops of the cakes he set down a quick layer of frosting before putting the other one on top of it. Filling another frosting tube he carefully went about the cake covering it with a thick layer of the stuff. That all done he grabbed a flat piece of plastic and started to smooth the sides down and removing the extra frosting making it look perfect, well at least to him. He quickly gave it a very small and thin white dot piping before going to pull out five of the roses and he filled another frosting tube with the green. Using a knife he removed them easily and set them on the cake adding green leaves and such as he thought would look good. When he finished there was a bouquet of frosting roses on the cake with some nice green leaves poking through some. Deciding that this cake was done for now he started on the other one for Officer Jenny only using nine of the roses. Making it look like a larger version of the smaller one he wrapped it up fairly quickly, this was not the first time he had decorated a cake.
Cleaning up after himself he looked down at the cakes he had created and frowned slightly, there was something missing. He stared at them for a moment they were perfectly put together but something seemed off. Finally after a moment it hit him, he had gotten these small little sugar strips they would melt onto the frosting giving it a sort of water glazed look. Grabbing the small container of them he opened it and sprinkled a few on them before deciding he was done. Grabbing a box he placed each cake inside of them as delicately as he could.
All that set and down he reached behind himself and pulled out Skorupi's pokeball and let him out. The small poison bug pokemon looked up at him with wide eyes, he wasn't let out inside of the pokemon center all that much. Wrapping the smaller box up in a bag and tying it so that there were two loops on it he bent down and held it out to Skorupi. "Could you carry this for me. I only want to carry one at a time." Aidan wasn't sure this would really work he never really used his pokemon for this purpose before.
Hearing that he would be entrusted to this kind of task, the first time ever Skorupi nearly fainted with pride! His trainer was trusting him with this task! He would guard that cake with his life! Nodding his head seriously he used his pincer like tail to grab a hold of the bag and rested it on his flat back using his tail to keep it steady.
Aidan studied his pokemon for a moment before smiling slightly, he was glad that Skorupi seemed to take this task fairly seriously. Wrapping up the much bigger box for Officer Jenny he grabbed the last rose in the fridge before heading out Skorupi following him happily. Going up to the counter he handed the nurse the frosting rose to her with a rare if small smile. "Have a good time at work Nurse Joy." He offered before leaving.
"Thank you Aidan!" The nurse called out after him before she looked down at the pretty rose he had made.
Walking through the streets precious packages in tow he safely made his way to Officer Jenny's small house and gave a small knock on the door hoping that she was there.
Jun had gotten home a while back, surprised to find the door open when he was sure he had locked it. Jenny always threw a fuss about security if he forgot to lock it, so he almost always remembered. If not, an angry Jenny might send him off to the military or worse, make him treat her callused feet.
He was even more bewildered when the woman was inside, humming as she set the table for four. Behind her, on the stove, was some lasagna. This was a cause for alarm, for 1) Jenny never forgot to lock the front door, 2) Jenny never cooked, 3) Jenny never set up the table, and 4) only three ate human food in this house, being Jenny herself, Jun, and Leeron. And oh he forgot, Jenny was humming. Oh my.
"You're in a surprisingly good mood today, Auntie," Jun observed, leaning against the wall. She wasn't even as tense as she usually was, or at least she wasn't until Jun came. "Jun! For the last time, I'm not that old," the woman said, a vein popping up her forehead; technically, they were distant cousins, but Jun took advantage of the ambiguity.
"But yeah, good news. That troublesome gang's finally gone. We won't hear from them again," she said, breathing easily. Well, that explained why she was home early, though when Jun looked at the burnt pasta sitting to cool, he wondered if it was really a good idea for her to try and cook. At least his stuff was edible. "Though they'll be some trouble for other districts now."
"Lovely, I suppose. Maybe you'll stop getting all those wrinkles in your forehead --"
"Jun, I'll kill you."
"What a feisty woman; why is it again that you don't have a boyfriend?"
"Jun, why are you still here?"
"I don't know if you remember, but I'm kinda bumming under your oh so gracious hospitality."
"No, I know that. But I meant, what are you still doing in Solaceon Town? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind you staying here--" which was Jenny's way of saying that she rather enjoyed having him around, ashe certainly cured any loneliness she might have after a long day of work, "-- but we both know this farming town's too small for whatever dreams you got in your head. I mean, you do almost all your work and shopping in Hearthome anyways, you're almost there as much as you are here. You want to beautify the world or some other bullcrap, don't you? Then why don't you get started already?"
Jun shrugged. "Maybe I got too comfortable here?"
"It's your dad's wishes, isn't it?"
"Who's coming, by the way?"
"You're changing the topic, Jun --" Before Jenny could finish, the answer to his question knocked on the door, and the man was off to answer it.
"Oh, it's you," Jun said with a quizzical expression, though he remembered a moment later that the guy worked with Jenny. Right. What dull company he'd be.
"Have him come in, Jun!" Jenny called from inside.
"Right. Let me help with that," Jun said, relieving Skorupi of his load before turning to lead them into the kitchen.
Train quickly got bored of watching the Smeargle paint, especially since she couldn't even see what he was actually making, and was soon doing the basically the same thing as M.A., quietly zoning out and looking around. There were a few other Pokemon out of their Poke Balls, standing by their trainers, and Train didn't recognize most of them. She mused what they might be, and tried to figure out their type by their appearance, though she knew that appearances could be quite fooling.
She blinked and glanced over when M.A.'s PokeNav started beeping, and again when the other girl was suddenly grinning. Train stood up as well and found herself smiling, too, at the invitation. "Sure, that'd be awesome," She responded happily, glancing over at the counter and stepping over to it for a moment to get her Pikachu back, hugging the little electric mouse and letting him climb up onto her shoulder again.
"Whenabouts did you get here, Vanessa?" Whitney asked, as the girls continued along 110, being wary and avoiding grassy patches when they could, and listening to cyclists on the road directly above them. "Mm, jus' yest'day afternoo'. Arrived in Littleroot Town an' I headed up and passed through Oldale, then Surfed 'cross the water... an', well, here I am. I think I thought I got turned 'round 'cause the water I crossed an' the Route itself was jus' so darn long. Or, least, it seemed like it." She giggled a little. "I never been much good with d'rections. Add that onto me visitin' some place I ain't never been b'fore and I'm jus' a mess." With a little bit of a laugh, Whitney told her that it was alright. "I'm like that too, hon. I can follow anybody just fine, but even if someone asks me for directions to a place I've been a million times, I still have difficulty telling them how to get there, you know what I mean?"
The girls kept walking and talking, bouncing around from different topics, and they got on the subject of Pokemon. "They're just so amazing," Whitney commented. "I mean, I've been training them for years now, but they still continue to suprise me. Like, I look at my Miltank or my Clefairy, the ones I've had the longest, and I've can't help but think that-- oh!" she exclaimed, having a moment of A.D.D., "is that Mauville up ahead?"
A town was coming into view, and certainly enough, it was the girls' destination. "Awright!" Vanessa said, a smile present on her lips. "B'fore we part ways, would you mind if we went to the Pokemon Center? I oughta get this guy healed on up." Whitney responded that she wouldn't mind at all, and the girls headed towards the Center. Entering, Vanessa handed over her single Pokeball to Nurse Joy, who, for some reason, looked at her with an odd and almost confused expression on her face.
"And... I think I'm gon' to borrow a bed for a bit. I need to get some rest. I already took up too mucha yer time, s'you can head on out if you want. I very much 'preciate all your help." With a bit of a smile, Whitney said that she didn't have to go right away. "In fact, I should rest up a bit too. I'm feeling a bit drained." The girls headed into the dormitory, lying down on a pair of beds that were adjacent to one another.
While Skorupi liked helping his trainer out it had been hard to keep the box safe from everything, plus it had been pretty heavy! He wasn't quite as strong as his trainer who was carrying an even larger box. Either way he was very happy when Jun relieved him of his package even if that meant that Aidan recalled him a second latter with a small thanks for his help.
Carefully wiping his feet at the door, he didn't want to track mud inside the house Aidan followed Jun into the kitchen. He didn't often go into the house part of the building and he looked around with mild curiosity. When they made there way to the kitchen he set the large box down carefully. "I finished not to long ago, I thought I would deliver it to you, if you don't like it I can always make it again." He paused for a second glancing over at Jun still holding the other smaller cake. "I made that for you Jun as a thank you for helping the kids earlier." His delivery done Aidan was not quite sure what to do and for some reason started to feel a bit nervous. Rubbing the scar over his nose in the nervous habit he had developed somewhere down the line. He always got kinda nervous when people were about to inspect his work, he just hoped that they liked them.
"So, wha' were y'sayin' about Pokemon b'fore?" Vanessa asked, taking her shoes off and setting them at the foot of the bed. "You were talkin' 'bout yer Cl'fairy an' Miltank." Whitney tried to recall. "Oh," she began, "just... I've really stopped and thought about it before. I have these Pokemon that I continue to learn new things about every single day, that have been with me for years, and yet I still don't fully understand them." Vanessa smiled. "I know what you mean. I got a buncha Pokemon back home, but righ' now I'm workin' on this one. One of my friends, her Dewgong was bred quite some time ago, and one of the pups from the litter, one of the Seels, she's lettin' me use it for the time bein'. My other Pokemon aren't with me righ' now. They haven't been for some time." The girl grew quiet for a moment.
"Vanessa, hon? What is it? What happened to your Pokemon?" Whitney asked, concerned for her. "They didn't... pass on, did they?" She shook her head. "Naw, nothin' like that. See, I wasn't in a very good condition for awhile, I got hurt and had to go to the hospital for awhile. On the first night I was there, my maw stayed with me, and my daddy did too." She chuckled. "Daddy said to me, 'Vanessa Brie Milin, when're you gon' ta learn to stay outta the way of my M'champ when he's doin' heavy liftin'?'" Another chuckle. "But, 'parently, someone broke on into our house and stole the Pokemon we had there. I ain't seen 'em since." She smiled weakly. "I miss 'em. That's parta the reason I'm here; to stay with family. I guess Maw and Daddy expect that if I'm away from home, it's gon' ta take my mind offa things."
Whitney's blood ran cold for a brief moment when Vanessa told her that her Pokemon had been stolen. Could it be Maorde's doing? It probably wasn't him directly; probably some kind of underling he had. Probably Raimundo. Or maybe it was just a coincidence. "I'm going through something similar," she replied. "My sister's Pokemon was stolen too, and I'm trying to get it back for her." Her interest piqued, Vanessa asked, "Oh yeah, you said somethin' 'bout that before. What happened?"
Whitney explained the basics of the situation-- she said that herself, Nina, and a few friends had all been attacked, and that the end result was Nina's Pokemon being stolen, and their attacker escaping. She didn't mention, however, that they were attacked by a crazed, murderous, most likely immortal Pokemon trainer. She didn't want to scare her.
"Gosh," Vanessa said, "I'm so sorry ta hear that. Did ev'ryone get out okay?" Whitney was hesitant to reply. "Well, yeah, for the most part. But my sister had to... um. Well, she was really traumatized after the incident, so she's resting in a safe place right now. The Pokemon she's had since birth was stolen from her, and it affected her really badly." Whitney had another moment of A.D.D., and the thought that Maorde could have been the cause of Vanessa's theft drifted into her mind. What if it really was him... What if he hurts her? No. Whitney, you're paranoid. You're wrong. Maorde had nothing to do with it. Vanessa sat up, and looked to Whitney.
"Nope, he didn't."
Crenu's response to Kasiya's question took a lot longer to come than she expected, although she couldn't help but notice that he seemed to be studying her for some reason or another. "Great!" she said happily, rubbing her hands together, completely unaware that Shocker was mimicking her actions. The Raichu was fairly certain that she wouldn't get a chance to show off her skills to Kasiya's new... acquaintance just now, but hey a Pokemon could hope, right? Kasiya stood up and gathered up all the empty dishes and set them neatly on the counter so they would be easy to take back into the kitchen. She knew it would eat at her conscience if she walked away without paying so she dug into her wallet and pulled out a handful of money before looking around. She was certain that if she tried to give the man cash in person he'd refuse, and that, to her, was unacceptable, especially seeing as how he had a business to run. She spied an apron of sorts hanging on a hook near where the cash register was and her eyes lit up. "Hey Shocker..." she said, leaning in and whispering quietly to the mouse, who nodded at her trainer's request. Her ears twitching happily, Shocker took the money from her trainer and used her amazing agility to spring up over the counter and land on a stool on the other side of the counter. She stood up on tiptoe and tucked it into the apron's pocket, turning and giving Kasiya a thumbs-up when she was done.
"Come on, guys! Outside we go!" the ever-cheerful Kasiya cried happily, grabbing up all of her things and running towards the door, her equally-cheerful troupe of Pokemon following along after her. As much as she did want to let Shocker burn off some of that boundless energy of hers, she wanted to keep working with Ada, Leviathan and Rosemary, specifically to see if she could push her Larvitar into evolving as well. She'd been wondering for a while now if Ada was strong enough to evolve, and all the information in her PokeDex as well as the near-evolution last night definitely proved it. I know she has it in her, the girl thought as she stepped out into the bright sunshine. I want my Pokemon to be the best they can be, even if that means giving them a little nudge when they're being stubborn.
=-=-=-=-= "A free lunch, eh? Sounds like an offer I just can't pass up," Jaeshan responded with a chuckle, even though he wasn't all that hungry after the massive breakfast he and his Pokemon had that morning. He couldn't help but pick out both the hesitation and uncertainty in Robin's voice as she spoke. It was almost as if she thought he really didn't want to hang out with her and was only staying with her to not hurt her feelings. Jaeshan smiled inwardly at this - anyone who knew him pretty well would know that he wasn't like that, and when he wanted to spend time with someone, it was because he genuinely liked them and figured that they could be friends.
Metang wasn't as enthusiastic about lunch as his trainer was, and the dual Steel/Psychic-type suddenly realized what a big day this had been for him so far and that he was actually feeling quite drained. After reaching up and patting Luffy on the head to show that he'd had fun, he closed his eyes and outlined the smaller Aipom in a bluish, psychic energy and gently (and harmlessly) levitated the little monkey safely over into Robin's arms. Jaeshan quickly thanked both of his Pokemon and recalled them, very impressed at how far the two had come since evolving from their younger forms. "All right, you lead the way, Robin, and I'll follow," he said, sticking his hands in his pockets and waiting for the pretty redhead to lead him to her traveling companion.
Robin felt a wave of relief wash over her when Jaeshan agreed to come with her and didn't make fun of her offer. Ok maybe he was just being nice but Robin was hoping that he wasn't. Not able to help it she smiled wide at him and turned around her light skirt floating up slightly almost reflecting her light mood. Holding a squirming Luffy in her arms, he wanted to ride on her shoulder! She started to head back to the beach. She just hoped that she could find Ampersand, the beach was going to be really busy. Glancing back at Jaeshan she bit her bottom lip for a second before blurting out. "So your a really tough trainer right?"
When he had been removed from his 'ride' Luffy had not been to happy, he had been having fun. Now he was stuck in Robin's arms and there was so much cool stuff to look at! Squirming around he tried his best to get free and at least make it up to her shoulder but no dice. Finally he gave up hanging in her arms limply as they made there way through the throngs of people, at least cool hat man would let him hang out around him.
Eventually they made it over to where Ampersand and some other very pretty girl he was talking to. Robin was a bit confused, usually Ampersand didn't like to much attention and shooed away all the girls who tried to hit on him. Shrugging it off, he could talk to who ever he wanted to, even if it did make her feel better that he willingly spent time with her. "Hello Ampersand. You promised lunch remember?" Now that he was near the cool hat guy Luffy managed to jump out of Robin's arms and over onto Ampersand sholder.
Glancing up at Robin Ampersand grinned up at her and Jaeshan. "I sure did missie." He glanced over at Luffy who was now perched on his shoulder. "I am not feeding this vacuum am I? Oh! I forgot to introduce you, this is my umm..." Ampersand paused as he pointed over at the pretty blond woman next to him. He wasn't sure if they were still friends or not...
