I have far too many profiles to write.

It wouldn't have happened if you stuck with one character.

That's far too boring though. Hell I have such a deverse set of characters to make. A mercenary, a robotic knight, and a daemon. Not to mention a few other profiles that I need to do touch ups on and expand upon their history.

Sith is the only person I've got in the tourny. I say, it's a lot more fun and a lot more exhilerating knowing that you only have one chance to win.

See, I've never been one for just one character. It just doesn't work for me too well. Though my mercenary will probably become my main one if not the daemon. Really it all depends on the mood I'm in.

Mm. Heh. This is my one and only character and it's been that way for 2 and a quarter years. 3nodding

My longest running character is Quintilius de Seigneur. He's been my character in a guild for little over a year now and his fighting in Barton Town. Truly of all the characters I have entered his welfare is the only one I'm concern about.

Unfortunately, of my two main characters, only one was.. alive, prior to this tournament beginning. And because his plot ties directly into my "Omi" character's, I can't just have him miraculously be alive for the tournament [especially since I intend to use parts of it later on,] so.. ahr.

I would've loved to enter Vincent, though. Judging by how a lot of the characters're set up, Heraldry Magic might've been a big hit. domokun

Herladry magic? This could be interesting, I'm always open to hearing new things so why don't you tell me about it.

Well, I've seen it used before.. [Almost pre-dominately for defensive uses,] but nothing like how my character uses it.

Basically, his entire system of "magic" involves charms, symbols, and a spin on the concept of Blue Magic. He creates these slips of paper [or what have you] with symbols & ruins which, when met with an impulse & 'chi' ["energy", or what have you,] activates.

Then, it basically creates the desired effect, depending on what said effect is. Designed as an alternative to just about any sort of magic, almost as a substitution.

Of course, it has it's limitations. If someone's casting/hurling a "spell" at you, you obviously can't just sit down, make a seal based off it, and use it. IC, it takes days to create even one high quality seal/charm, and there's been times when, due to circumstances in a roleplay, some came out with a fairly low quality grade & instead of giving the desired effect, burnt up.

Still, it's damned fun to use. An example: Vincent [note that he appears to be a small, bipedal cat-demon], has a number of these grafted to his skin, beneath the fur of his right arm. With ease, he can activate these - of an extremely high quality set of "charms" - and it appears as though, he's ushering a wave of fire from the palm of his claw. In reality, he's activating those charms lining his arm by motioning it forward and tensing the "paw", causing the fire to rush fourth.

Thing is, the concept of what effects Heraldry can mimick is pretty wide open. Besides offensive & defensive properties I could've encrafted upon his weapon or limbs.. I could've definetely made him into an anti-Planar character, if I played my cards right. [I.E. have him prepare a similiar seal for certain, known-of theoretical "Planar Spells" of assorted realms, albeit, having a seal for each element to exploit any given one's "weakness".] Could've been interesting.

That, and I personally enjoyed his weapon of choice/means of assaulting enemies. I remember having him appear in a roleplay where a good ol' Dracula-wet-dream-wanna-be decided to "utterly annialate him".. and the guy, due to piss-poor movements & detail on how his body lurched forward, was constantly kept at a good two to three foot distance from Vincent with a pole-like weapon, doing nothing to block it - and got struck so many times in several key points, eventually, the guy "withdrew", with a broken wrist & horribly injured eye. Gotta love it.

Ahh, runes. I've done those in the past, mostly for defensive, summoning, binding, and a few offensive when used with weapons. A friend and I actually designed a sort of quasi army of spell casters that used runes as magic batteries.

And it shames me how many piss poor vampires there are on gaia today. To steal a line from Alucard, they have no noble conviction, they are children of the night with not a speck of honour. They shame me and anyone that know's their s**t.

Hn. o_o Thing is, due to an interesting [albeit retarded] situation that occured in the roleplay in which Vincent died [..sadly, his death was necessary; lest, another character died. Thanks to a friend of mine whom doesn't understand the term "Hostage Situation"], he may be "coming back".

And I know. Most people here become "vampires" or "kitsunes" or what have you, because they're popular races to be, and they think they're being original by doing so.

The sad part is, everytime I've met a vampiric character IC with my Omi character here at Gaia, s**t's always gone sour, so to speak. neutral Seriously. Every damned time. Be it the time some vampire character was trying to "seduce" him, only to attempt a clumsily executed assault.. or the time, a "Vampire Gang" [Yes. You read that correctly. Vampire Gang.] tried to attack him out of ******** nowhere during one roleplay, or.... what have you.

The only time I've met someone whom used a vampiric character even half-decent IC, seemed to dislike me both IC and OOC, merely because I caused some trouble at his guild.
A bit much to stalk me roleplay to roleplay though, no? ._.

Oh, and for the record: I hate people whom base characters off Naruto, as well. And yes, I've seen them. Know why?

They have sex with their opponents to kill them.

Seriously. Nine-Tails + Sex = Death, so the legend doth say. And since most of these chacters are below the age of eighteen.. that.. somehow bothers me. domokun

I can agree with you on all acounts truly. I once played vampires, but I've gone past them because it's just so shameful what has happened to them. That and I can't think of much of an interesting back ground story for one that isn't as contrived as some of the s**t I've seen.

I enjoyed the Naruto manga for a while, but then it went down hill. And I've usually frowned on people just ripping things from certain universes; though I'll say I'm guilty of this to a point with 40k, it's just that I make up my own characters within that context and don't try to make my character out to be the biggest bad a** around.

It would be nice to do a vampire again though. I had this great idea for one wearing bits of armour from different ages and using a mixture of modern and ancient weapons. I was even going to go a bit classical for his abilities.

I've never roleplayed as a vampiric character. Though, obviously, using a human character makes any low-whored "vampires" jump at the chance to prove their dominance in roleplays. crying Not that they've succeeded.

The Naruto Manga, I enjoy quite a bit - the "Time Skip" plots could use some work, but it'll get there. The anime, on the other hand.. mmph. Filler. Dubbing. When the two meet, I'm serious, it'll be the end of the world. Can you imagine, the lower quality filler episodes mixed with Rock Lee & Naruto's voices & "Believe it!"?

On that note, I can't wait until Naruto achieves Full Nine-Tail Fox & begins raping other characters. As, after all, sex with one = instant death in loir.

Naruto: Sasssssuukeeeeeee!

Naruto: [Grasps Orochimaru from behind.] BELIEVE IT!

And, I've never used un-original characters, save Faust from the Guilty Gear series. I'd never seen anyone roleplay him, and it just kinda.. interested me, to see how I could adapt him to a roleplay setting. Plus, he kicks major a**. domokun
