Her rubber soled boots making no sound as they pounded against the street Eeowynn ran silently past the united nations building. The few passers by paid little attention to her, as they did to other around them. That was the wonderful thing about city life, no one cared about anyone elses business, no matter how much they might need help. She smiled at the irony, fear drove them to shun away from watchfullness, but it was that which made them weak.
As she continued her pace she stopped in a dark street, leaning with her back against the wall, facing the road. There few cars at this time of night, her long run had taken her into a dangerous part of town where the only vehicles were wary pizza delivery guys and the type of people you wouldn't want to meet...unless you were more dangerous.
She arched her back and ran her hands through her hair, releasing tension fomrh er muscles. The slow purring of a car engine greeted he as she straightened up, the window slid smoothly downwards on the large black car and a large man pufing on a cigar grinned out at her.
"Hello Love" He growled
"Pretty bird like you should come to a real party"
He nodded his head towards the passenger seat of the car.
Smiling serenly she walked delicatley towards the car. Grinning the man stepped out and moved to greet her. As he took hold of her arm she moved quickly towards him. Stumbling he tripped towards the wall as she threw her body upwards and tore into his flesh, gulping down the hot fluid seeping from the wound.
To an unlikley onlooker it would seem nothing unusual, but Eeowynn was sure to check for passers by as she hauled his body into a dumpster behind the building.
Wiping her blood soaked lips on his shirt she frisked the mans body, relieving him of his car keys, wallet and I.D.
Without a backwards glance to his unmarked tomb she started uo the engine and drove into the night.

Jax sighed as he pawned off his guns for some money. He counted what he had and was satisfied he got more than what he had paid for when he got them. His large sword clung to his back and wasent hidden from sight anyone who looked at him would see it easily.

Aeris looked down at the ground, kicking a rock around. With a few more slight kicks, Aeris pulled the card from his pocket. "Damn it...why cant I get this off of my mind." Shaking his head, and walknig off towards a building he leaned against it, reading it over making sure he missed nothing. "Who was that, why'd they take me hostage...and what the hell happened"

Haruko sits on a roof, looking at the inlaid chop-sticks. He thinks about throwing them off for a moment, they were just memories, bad ones. If he couldn't let go of his past, how could he forge his future? He eventually does drop them. He smiles a little. "enough" he says suddenly, and stands up. He turns around and Xie Mei was standing there, looking like a ghost int he moonlight. "I'm done... thank you..." he says, in Cantonese.

Echo was walking down the street when some chopsticks fell infront of her. "What the-..?" she says as she picks them up and examines them. "Haruko's chopsticks.. that means.." Echo looked up towards where she thought the chopsticks had fallen from and sees the edge of Haruko's clothes whip out of sight. She scaled the building and landed with a thwump behind him. "Haruko! You're BACK!" Echo made to hug him but thought better of it.

Haruko turns back around and smiles, "Echo... I haven't seen you... hmm since the mall. I'm afraid I've been rather... brooding, it took an Empath to eventually get through to me..." He, in fact, does hug her. He had spotted the gesture start and then be cut short, and he decided to show he was not so up-tight.

"I've been so alone lately, and Octave is out to kill me now. Nearly did, mind you, with a UV. But that doesn't matter anymore. Empath? What's that?" She pulled down her hood, not caring if her hair got wet. Her eyes did look slightly still clouded. "And, there's a new demon in town. A Shadow Demon, apparently."

ON hearing this news, Haruko's expression changes in an instant, "you may call upon my protection whenever you need it, and know if I am around when you need it but do not ask I will help..." and he hisses at the mention of a shadow demon, "Vile creatures... oh, and an Empath is like a psychic. She can completely enter your mind and occupy it..."

"He is very nice though. I hung out in the park with him last night. He didn't seem so bad. Well, he didn't attack me, and that was rather nice," She said, shrugging. "Why don't you like Shadow Demons? What's so vile about them?"

"well, if they are like the ones I know, they owe allegance to no-one and attack even their kin... but we a re a long way from Japan." He shrugs, "I suppose things are different here..." echo feels a presence in your mind, and the chinese girl who had not spoken seems to become vacant.

"..Who's she?" Echo asked, finally noticing the other girl. "Like Octave? He's the one who nearly killed me yesterday. He's a Vampiric Hunter. Nasty piece of work, he is."

Haruko looks around. "She's the empa... she's in your mind, isn't she?" Cady turns and seems to plerad with her in chinese for a second, and then the presence in your mind is gone. "sorry she... I think it's rude to intrude on someones mind, but she dissagrees. If you would like me to talk to this Octave..." he says, calmly enough.

"Nothing you can do about Octave, he finds me a traitor because I hang out with Finn, yet he's the one attacking his own kin. I was rather nasty with him though, when he confronted me." Echo looks back at the Empath, "Why does she do that?"

"Empath. She reads people's minds because she can... she can talk to you through your mind, too, as she is doing to me now, and she can even make suggestions on your next action, though she can't directly controll your mind. And she does it because she doesn't trust anyone."
