Cool. I'm driving down from the Twin Cities, hopefully with Kitty in tow at the least and if I beg HARD enough, Virgil's handler may be making the trip out to Chicago from Seattle, too.

Linda Lee Danvers Linda Park West Well if I do ever manage to get up to Chicago I already have a pair of red leather pants and some black boots.. I have a red Wonder Woman shirt but I need to find away to get a shirt that looks more like Cassie's .. I'd also want to try and find a way to get something resembling her lasso. sweatdrop A pair of scissors for the first, and a length of decorator gold trim (like used for curtain tiebacks) for the second. 3nodding I work at a fabric store part-time. Thanks for the suggestion Linda. I'll try and get there.. I usually find time to travel in the summer but I'm graduating this semester so things are a little nuts. I can't wait to be done with school whee

My biggest problem is that for some reason there are ZERO patterns currently available for a super hero-type cape. Several for Lord of the Rings type cloaks and last-century tie-on capes, but no capes that would be properly gathered at the top and sewn into the collar..... stressed

Per day they're $25, but to attend speeches, signings, and such is extra, plus hotel.

If you're my brother, you can do WizardWorld Chicago on $22 for the whole weekend.
All you need is someone to drive you there, pay for gas, pay for the hotel...........
And $20 of that he got waiting in line for an ATM for 40 minutes.

For me the big deal isn't getting into the convention.. it's hotel and flight. Those are the most expensive things but in my experiance the earlier you book the better off you are. Especially in the summer time with a convention in town. Depending where you're coming from the entire trip could easily costs anywhere from eight hundred to a grand. Of course I'm coming from a long distance. If enough people show up we should have a Kapow get together.

Same here, hotel and flight. $50 for a three day pass isn't bad at all.
