Whoo!
After a bit of computer fixing, I'm back, and lazier than ever! By comp fixing, I mean that I installed a Linux build (Ubuntu) on a spare HDD I had from a DVR I dismantled. This also installed GRUB, a boot loader designed to allow your computer to recognize, and, get this, boot whatever Linux kernels you have installed on your computer, whether they be in/on(I dunno which term to use) partitions, on separate HDD's, a usb flash, a disk, etc, etc. Well, anyways, GRUB automatically defaults to whatever Linux build was most recently installed after 10 seconds. This annoyed my mom because she likes to turn on the computer, go get a drink, and come back to the "Select User" screen. And, much to my dismay, just removing the HDD gave me an error(#20, if I recall correctly), and I couldn't make GRUB default to WinXP. So, I had to format the HDD to the FAT32 file structure, make a recovery CD for windows, fix the Master Boot Record, and then reformat the HDD from FAT32 to NTFS to make it usable with WinXP without leaving unallocated space.
Has anything interesting happened in the GOF?

You seem to have gone through more trouble than I am trying to clean junk off my PC all weekend >_> How is Ubuntu working for you? Would you recommend it for the average user? I am considering getting it on my PC to have something that doesn't lag at random times when I need it most during multi-tasking on firefox and other pograms. That way I can keep some of my junk from the internet and still multi task with many web pages that I frequently visit and not have to actually open my PC and change its motherboard and add ram (I got a Celeron D and 512 mb ram) since I got no idea how to do it rofl As for interesting stuff, should be available in the past 2-3 pages here xd
