Trickster Loki Laufeyson @Nick: I bust out the gangsta for the lulz. I go from like Johnny Cash to Lady Gaga to Dead Kennedys to Jay-Z to Sinatra. I am really strange with the music. Same reasoning, obviously. How serious can you really be dishing out 90s novelty rap? My taste in music tends to stay within the confines of "rock," though it jumps all over the place from there. Not that genre really matters. Good tunes is good tunes.

s**t what is the confines of rock these days. Rick Rubin produces everyone from Neil Diamond to Jay-Z to Slipknot. Trent Reznor is in the booth for Saul Williams. Marilyn Manson covers Justin Timberlake on satellite radio. Pink is more of a legitimate rock star than fifty percent of what's showing up on the billboard charts under "rock."
Lil Wayne does not appear in videos without a guitar. Lady Gaga wears Ziggy Stardust inspired face paint. With the flood of mediocre emo bullshit and Chad Kroeger immitators in the rock scene these days I think the best place to look for the heart and soul of rock and roll is to get as far the ******** away from most of what calls itself rock. Except Chinese Democracy. I endorse this, even though Axl Rose is the Rob Liefield of rock and roll.

*from the darkness, a coin flies into the slot of the Jukebox and a cover of a popular song plays, acoustic guitar echoing in the nearly-empty Bistro*

Now the question is. Should I be a ghost of past, present or future Christmas ?...
