"You can suggest it at the least."
catching one of the carrots and eating it.
"though point taken."
before one of the servants came in and passed a note along to malik, who looked at it and then destroyed it, giving a nod to the servant and taking to his food some more.
"Everything is going to schedule, so in two hours we'll have a talk about your blade."

She had her legs crossed, the baby resting in her arms. His eyes were moving around the room, locking to hers for a moment, while one hand was resting on the bottle that he was still sucking from. He was getting sleepy though. She'd learned her children's various 'about to go into reverie' actions and his was curling his toes. She gave him about ten more minutes and he'd be down, hopefully for the night. She wasn't crossing her fingers on that one. She stood slowly and continued rocking Kelligrin all the way over to the crib, then laid him gently on his back, holding the bottle for about five more minutes before that too was set on a side table. Kicking off her boots, she changed into her nightgown and settled back on the bed. It was amusing to know the way Sevilin was thinking sometimes. It was highly unlikely that Kariel would be kept out of a race because of neglecting his studies...unless Sevilin chose to keep him out.
Zykariel flipped his books closed and threw down his pencil then sighed. There was no way in hell he was sitting in all night. He poked his head out of his room and glanced down the hall, listening for a moment. His parents were otherwise occupied for the moment and he calmly slipped down the stairs and out the front door. Grabbing one of the other horses, he hopped on and headed down to the D'vinn's. He knew the D'vinn's house as well as he knew his own so it was easy enough to slip in and flop down on Malikhai's bed to wait.

Casually suggest, that would be off handishly mentioning in order to say something without saying something. Nice talent he had picked up. Though again he was quite happy about the blade talk and he thus worked to contain his excitment. "Two hours I can handle that. Gonna do homework." Thus clearing the rest of his plate, throwing back his milk and then getting himself up, heading off upstairs to go finish his evening studies. He knew the routine and usually he didn't fuss about it. But he did jump when he saw his bed was already occupied. "Sneak out and in again?" Grabbing his book off his desk and flipping it open.
"So is it safe to assume that whatever it is you're doing in your study, involves that boy's sword?" Giving him a suspicious look then. She could put two and two together and make sense of things, and well...had to keep a eye on things too.
And she wasn't saying anything, which meant it was one of those things that she was well aware of and just wasn't taking a side on what to do about it. It was probably best that she was neutral, but it was still irritating at the same time. "And he just left the house." Because he knew when any of his kids left the house...they only thought they were slick.

She raised an eyebrow at his announcement and then checked her internal clock. "He's probably going to see Malikhai for an hour or two. He's been working extra hard lately, Sev. Give him a little bit of credit okay. For me?" Thus standing up and walking over to him, lacing her arms around his middle and nuzzling his bare chest. She cupped his cheeks and kissed him softly. "Go tell your daughters goodnight and then you can come back and tell me goodnight, too. It's your turn to read with them."
"Parents are being parents like always. I didn't feel like sitting down and burying my nose in a book." He flopped over onto his side and quirked an eyebrow at his friend. "You know, we could go out for a few hours and just hang out. We haven't been out together in a while." Taking on a considering look for a moment, he stood and strolled casually over to Malikhai's desk then perched on the side. "Just you and me, out on the town. Picking up girls and being the deadly duo all over again. Come on, Khai. Whaddya say?"

"Working hard at one thing. The other children are expected to do all thier studies and then thier hobbies as well. He gets to do just his horses." But he let it go as she came over to him and promptly took to nuzzling him. She liked to disarm him like that simply so he didn't mention anything esle. But a sigh and he gave her a kiss as well before pulling from her and going to go see the girls.
"My dad is coming up in two hours. If I'm not here when he comes up, I could loose my chances at getting my sword." And his friend knew how he felt about getting his very own actual good sword. Though at the same time, there was that lovely prospect that his friend had just thrown out as he was sitting on his desk. "Well....I guess an hour couldn't hurt..."

Kelligrin would randomly wake up and cough or cry for a moment, then settled back down. Zahara had learned that she needed to stand beside the crib and just rub his back. He would calm down and drop back off into reverie. She calculated in her head time for him to read with them, answer any questions they might come up with and then go through the rounds of goodnight hugs and kisses, then moved into the bedroom the girls currently shared. Once Faatallon got a little older, they would need to get her her own room but not just yet. Tucking the girls in, she wrapped an arm around her husband's waist and led him out of their room, pulling the door almost closed behind her.
She left him for a moment to check in Zykariel's room and sure enough, he was gone. Shaking her head she returned to their room and snuggled up next to Sevilin. "Well, you were right. He's gone." A pause for a moment as she considered what to say. "One thing but it's something that encompasses his deepest passion. Faatallon especially adores her studies and Lyssthyren is beginning to enjoy them as well. Kariel was never thrilled about studying, so it does make sense."
"Hour and a half. You'll be back before your father gets up here. Besides, you know him, he'll randomly get distracted by something and two hours will become two and a half. You'll be home in time, just come on." Grinning victoriously since he knew he'd won, he hopped up and clapped his friend on the back. "Get your horse and I'll meet you out front. You get to choose where we're picking up the ladies tonight."

He merely gave a noise at first to her explainations. Was he a over doing it a little when it came to the children's studies? He didn't think so and there was principle to this. He didn't want his kids behind the learning curve like he was when he was little. "Just because you're not thrilled abotu something, doesn't mean that they should be ignored for what one does like."
"Hour and fifteen minutes." Marking his page and then setting his book down and hey, he was right, dad did have a tendency to get distracted and a little play time couldn't hurt. "Right." Not that picking up girls was his forte, but you live and learn. Thusly downstasirs adn outside with him to get his horse and meet his friend, the two deciding on a place.

She curled up onto her side and rolled her eyes behind his back so he couldn't see. "Yes Raven, I know. I will talk to him and see if I can't get him to do his studies more, alright?" Cozying up to him and resting her hand over his arm and fiddling with his hair. "He'll do what needs to be done to race. It's as simple as that. If you want, I can deny him the right to race if he doesn't get his studies done." She rubbed his shoulders lightly and then frowned, "Raven...have you been stressing yourself out? Here, let me give you a massage, you're all tight and strung."
Zykariel stepped into the tavern and perused over those gathered. He knew of a few women around this place but they hadn't really spent a whole lot of time here. Lifting his hand in a casual wave to those who called out to him, he walked over to the bar and sat down. "So Khai," Giving a smile and keeping his voice low. "Who do you wish to check out tonight? That girl over there looks like she's checking you out. Maybe she's like your aunt and adores blue..."

It didn't take Galesen long enough to eat what was on his plate, nighttime was coming quickly and he just wanted to toss in some training before bed that's all. So once he was done the elf got up, said his thanks to the family sitting at the table, and left for the arena without another word. Since he has been living here for over a decade Galesen has learned the place inside and out, so getting to where he wanted to go didn't take much effort at all.
Once he entered the large room it didn't take him long enough to get working on his magic, he practiced the basics until he got to the harder stuff, controlling harder spells that ranged between all four elements; he even did a trick where he rode a earth wave, it was a trick he picked up four years ago. He would make the earth rise and fall and he would ride it like a wave on the water, this could help him get around but also as he practiced with his bow it helped him learn how to use the weapon while moving, which is what he did after he practiced his magic.
About two hours later Galesen emerged from the arena, drained of energy but not as drained as he would of been twelve years ago, he has grown in the past years and is good now at what he does. So with his training done the elf walked outside and called upon his trusty steed, it was time to go home there was nothing he could do here anymore unless he wanted to train tomorrow again.

Not that he was pleased either, seeing as well...his son should listen to him without throwing him attitude. But he let her cuddle up to him as he settled down in the bed...he already knew he wouldn't be catcing any reverie until that boy got back in this house anyway. "I'll take his horse away." Shaking his head lightly and a sigh that said he was letting it go, at least for now. Though a blink at her as she noted his stress levels. "I wouldn't say I've been stressing myself out too much." But sitting up for her, hey if it made her feel better, he would probably feel better too.
Common tavern in one of his father's many little provinces of sorts, and everyone knew the both of them and hey, being the son of the lord of things around here did get him quite the amount of freebies. But he laughed at his friend as a drink of some sorts that was on the house got set down in front of him and his friend. He rolled his eyes. "Most women adore blue. And are you sure she's not making those eyes at you, Mr. Racer?"

"Yes, it involves his own sword."
Oh no, Malik wasn't about to put his foot in that beartrap just yet. Not only did piper dislike...borderline despise, that blade..but it's effects were long lasting. There had been a time when yes, he'd never wish the addictive blade on anyone. but at the same time, it was the only heirloom that he had of his norrathian family. It was the only thing he could pass on in that respect, from father to son. as his own thrice cursed father had passed it to him.

Raise of an eyebrow. That was all he was giving her? And what he expected her to take that and go with it? Okay she'd play by his game and pretend that she wasn't suspicious of the things he was doing. After all...she noted when a certain something or other was missing from his person when she knew very well that he had left with it. "Oh. Right." Turning her attention to thier toddler whom was finishing up his own food and she put him on the floor so he could do his own thing for the moment. He never wandered far from either parent.

She shook her head, "Now Raven, you know better than that. If you take away his horse all hell will break loose and then I'll have to be mad at you and we know how much you don't want that." All the while, moving her hands along his shoulders and back. Sevilin always slept in just his pants, which made it really easy to give these massages. And his muscles were quite tight all along his back and neck. She kneaded against him and dropped a few kisses down along his spinal column, pushing his hair out of the way where she needed to. "I think you have. I'm sensing a lower runic concentration than you've ever had coming home before. What does Malik have you doing now?"
Zykariel laughed and downed the drink that was inevitably refreshed the moment he took a sip of it. "Oh no, she's all for you Khai. The vixen next to her has her eyes, mouth and mind all over me. See? Even now she's undressing me with her eyes." He lifted his hand and two more drinks were set down. "Let's go. You're the one with the curfew." Thus sauntering over to the females and giving him his devil-may-care smile. Inherited from his father along with many of his tricks. "Hi ladies. Mind if we buy you a drink?"
Two young drow were sitting there, obvious natives of Vesendar by the various blue on their bodies. One reached out and brushed her hand over Malikhai's hand. "I know you. All that blue can be spotted a mile away." She took the drink handed over to her and leaned on the bar, quirking an eyebrow. "What brings the young D'vinn out all this way?"

"I left it with some of the necromantic servants. They are trying to do something important with it for me."
a slight smirk at her, glancing at his other son, and back to his wife. drumming his fingers on the table lightly, and finishing off his food.
"So. have you heard from Isle recently? I am surprised she doesn't come here more often to be your mischief maker...or to renew her on again, off again relationship with Galesen."

"Nothing particular, needed to do some repairs on his defenses and such. After all what with all the expanded territory, there's a lot to cover and well, I haven't been training like I need to be lately." Kids just did not allow you time to lock yourself away in your training room and do such things. Though back to the issue at hand. "Or you could just stay neutral."
"You're full of yourself, you know that?" Oh yes, his friend had much much more experience with girls than he did. He was busy training and trying to earn things and privilages and the like...him and dad hadn't really entered into the territory of catching the women, just a little blurb or two of wisdom filled information. But her picked up his drink and let himself be led over...and look at that he didn't even have to try. Thus a smile he had inherited from his father and that lofty look he could manage as well. "A mile away huh? PIty I was trying for two." You had to be brave to stand out in the underdark, he gave off that impression quite well. "Me? Decided to sneak out for a while, find some fun. I suppose there may be some here..."
"Which is never a good thing." Yup, still was not in favor of that thing in the very least and if she had her way she'd have it melted down and the like...if it wouldn't make Malik probably go crazy and do something horrible that was. These days she was happy if it was locked away for the day or so more. Idly she fingered her collar, seemingly pondering something a few seconds before looking back to him. "Yes I have. In fact she's pregnant, and no it's not Galesen's. Needless to say, doesn't allow for too much travel and rough housing. But I'm sure you'll see here soon enough. Missing her?" That teasing tone of hers, despite her own thoughts in the back of her mind.
Which then a tug on his father's pants and raising his arms. "Daddy, pick up." Blinking up at his father with his mother's various colored eyes. If anything the boy looked more like Kieran, since Piper lacked most of moon elf marking.
