It's matched very well, though the only blue that matches the pants are your eyes.
Along with some blue, something dynamic to stick out would do just that, make it stick out

I split my money inbetween three outfits, the neutral you see now, the fire/burning avi I use a lot now that it's summer, and the ice/frozen avi I don't use to often ironically enough...
I just don't have the funds to buy something high level most of the time, like a lunar cloak or whatever and only have this studded collar and two katanas... But, I digress...

Like you said to mine, it matches, though the penguin's beak as well as the lunar cloak's/cowl's crescent moon divert from the overall theme. Not so much the cowl, but the penguins... Nice item, just never been to fond myself...

You should really start looking for a theme for your avi.
Save up just a little bit more gold and begin to buy items that'll match
a really nice theme (2 or more colors). Now there are a few
inexpensive items that can match easily - just have to experiement.
