He chuckled lightly. "I have my moments where I can say pretty and deep things at the same time and they're not said in lesson or punishment." Giving her a smile as she continued then, "It started a while ago, you were just being weary of it, as was I. Like all drow, we have to learn that not everythign his going to try and get us." Then a blink and one of those serious looks though his tone spoke of more or less joking around. "Then again, you can never be too careful what with children and all." But a nuzzle to her lightly, "And I come to find I'm starting to like your surprises." Thusly brushing a hand over the ring on her finger, since he knew it was inscribed as well.

"You're not the most perceptive creature. I've been causing trouble for a few hours now. Everyone's had something to say." Shrugging and taking a drink from her glass, leaning back in her seat as she casually listened to the older elves talk. "Doesn't that mean that the same old things are also very different every time I do them? Gotta learn to look outside the box. And I dunno, they're doign thier own things I suppose."

He shrugged. "Flashy Andalian light of course but hey it's nice to know you don't really have to work on anything since it's already there. Though at the same time, principle can be seens as obligation, and then the women hurt you. Good thing we elves can kinda feel that out...or we men would be screwed." Laughing at the glances from women at the table. Though a raise of en eyebrow at the proposed question. "Little to none, believe me I know him."

Piper had something to say about that. "That's good enough for me, I don't want him seeing Malikhai anyway." A glance over at the two children whom Keely was keeping an eye on so the adults could talk and such. "He never treated me in positive manner and I was just a bridge elf, I'd hate to think what he'd subject my son to."

"Leverage comes in many forms and can be used to turn the smallest peasant or the mightiest lord to one's own devices. your high and mighty father needs a lesson, I think, in humility when it comes to Piper. Not to mention there are some things that will shortly involve him he might want to know about. not to mention I gather in about fourty-eight hours Mahlari is going to be very unhappy."

A slight grin.

"But that is buisness left for other times..lest piper beat me over the head with something large and heavy."

"We can't help it. After all knowing what we've known from the time we were born can influence our minds a little bit." She laughed softly and nuzzled him back. "I am getting rather good at those. I'll get better as the yea-" She broke off and blinked at him for a moment. "Wait...children?" She licked her lips and threw her arms around his neck hugging him tightly. "I was so unsure about telling you but if you want more too then that's fine with me." Pressing a kiss to his cheek, she moved back to his mouth and curled her fingers fully into his hair. "Want to start now?"

"Not on Andal you wouldn't, Malik. Priests won't sanctify a marriage in the name of Andal without a true and lasting bond. It's a vow we take when we are given the right." His eyes widened a moment and then he shook his head. "I'm in agreement with Kieran." Frowning again, he stopped drinking. "You shouldn't talk about your grandfather like that, Piper. He made some mistakes but he only did what he knew. He has high standards, that's all."
PostPosted: Fri Jun 08, 2007 5:48 pm

"A lesson in humility...hm, I'd say that's the least of his faults. I admit, he wasn't the best grandfather, but at the same time I kind of think it was somewhat a blessing. Piper may be a lot more less tolerant of things if she had listened to him then." He wasn't excusing his father nor justifying him. Ahkallyn made his own bed. A weary look to the mentioning of things in Andal though.

"I'll use the table if you're not careful." Poking at her food a moment. No she really didn't have any intention of letting Ahkallyn seen Malikhai. Maybe Elaria, but not Ahkallyn. A look over to Lateef thoguh, "At the same time, he never expressed the want to learn either." He did what he wanted to do and she saw no reason to try and change the man. "But that all is not important right now. We're supposed to be having a good time."

"But at the same time, we learn from things since we are born then. It works in a round about way...even if what we do remember horrible things, they in a way make us better." Thinking about that a second then before deciding that the statement was good. Though a blink as she cut herelf off mid sentence before hugging him tightly. "Um, yes?" Blink and processing what she was saying. "I'd like more, it would be nice." Before giving her smile and a kiss. "Sounds fun." Thusly lifting her into his arms and starting toward the stairs, lo and behold leaving the dishes on the table.

"There comes a time when all the past comes to the present. wether we like it or not."

A chuckle.

"I am having a good time. Drink up, enjoy your food, and I have a party favor for everyone...well...maybe not for the kids."

A glance at keely, to let the kids play elsewhere before snapping his fingers.

"A human tradition that I found quite amusing was the bachelor party. seeing as how none of us had such an experience in debauchery and indulgance, I decided we'd have a group enjoyment."

which brought out dancers of female and male variety, bellydancers in scant clothing. and the male eqiuvilant...and just because he thought it'd be interesting to see the look on Isle's face, at least one scantily dressed male was a Tier'dal. dancers and dancing music brought by jingling bells on outfits and finger cymbals.

"And I've been here only for a short while so I haven't been able to notice you causing trouble." He pointed out before taking another nibble of his food. "Oh alright then..." Though there was a pause as suddenly the room was filled with dancers, both male and female and that got a raised eyebrow from the elf. Though he did manage to hear the explanation as to why this was happening and laughed a little. "I'm surprised you actually find something done by humans quite amusing Malik, though yes having a bachelor party can be quite fun." Gods only knew how many he had been to when he was old enough, still this was something he wasn't expecting so he just sat back and looked on with a small chuckle.

"It all varies in with how you look at it, I think." A shake of his head and he tilted the wine glass to get the rest of it. "He was taught by his own parents to be the way he was. It was only when Kieran began his attempts to bring all of Andal together under a united front that the subraces even really began regarding each other in anyway instead of being united against the Obsidians." His eyebrow shot up when the women came out and he dropped his eyes. "That is not something to be done when wives are present, Malik."

Caprice did indeed slap a hand over his eyes and shake her head. "I am justifiably appalled. Bachelor party?" She watched a few of the women and shook her head. "I daresay I coiuld dance better than some of those women.

He tilted his head and nuzzled at his wife, pulling her into his lap and then looked to his daughter. "Go have fun, Raindrop."

-----------------------TWELVE YEARS LATER----------------
((Surprise! Time jump...major major time jump so everyone pay attention. And remember, everyone is older now. Have fun kiddies!))

"Kelligrin Inthara! Don't eat that!" Zahara shook her head and raced out of the kitchen scooping the baby up off the floor and pulling whatever new thing he'd shoved in. "That's feathers baby, you don't eat those..." A shake of her head. "Faatallon! Lyssthyren! Waht did I tell you about pulling feathers out and leaving them around? Your brother likes to eat them!" She bounced the baby on her hip and walked back into the kitchen to finish the cake she was baking.

The Inthara house was full at this point. Their wedding night had been unbelievable and brought about Faatallon, their first baby girl. Four years later, Lyssthyren came into existence. They'd put things on hold for a little while due to extenuating circumstances, but then they'd been blessed with another little boy. The babbling bundle of joy she was currently holding...who was trying to eat her hair. Setting the baby in a rigged playpen Sevilin had made, she handed him a toy and then pressed a kiss to the top of his head. "Daddy will be home soon." The baby tilted his head and then laughed and clapped his hands. "Daddy!"

"That's how I feel about it too, baby." Moving back to the counter, she listened to the child babble and play around and returned to her cooking. She picked up a towel and wiped off her hair, then threw that in the corner with the other laundry.

Zykariel lifted the brush and began moving it down the mane of his self-proclaimed baby. Destyny had been a gift from his mother and from the baby Nightmare, he'd gained his destiny. Rather ironic in a way. Horse racing had become big in the last few years and he'd become the best in a really short time. Malikhai had been right there beside him the whole time, too. "There you go, girl. I need to muck out your stall at some point too, don't I?" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cube of sugar feeding it to her and laughing when she nuzzled at him. "No more, you need to keep off the sweets my girl. Have to keep you in shape for racing. We've got a big one coming up, if I can convince mom and dad..."
PostPosted: Fri Jun 08, 2007 7:26 pm

She stopped a moment giving a smile over her shoulder and down at the floor at the little pale skinned, blue ears and fingertipped elf. Seemed Malik's own skin pigmentation was drawing out all the blue possibilities within her own contribution to the gene pool. He had a tendency to toddle too fast and fall, it wasn't pleasant. Turning to the two year old and picking him up when he made the pick me up gesture. "You need to slow down Dhairiss..or you'll fall again. Remember how much fun that's not?"

"Yes!" Giving a giggle and then hugging on his mother, nuzzling into red and silver hair. He was mommy's boy for certain. Triple colored eyes to boot. He was content to mostly follow his mother these days and didn't seem to emulate Malik like his brother did. He rather held a fascination with both his parents.

For a fifteen year old, he certinally did his reponsible things. Already self proclaimed manager of his friend's racing career and hey they split things fifty fifty so it worked out for everyone. Currently he was down in the arena, stripped to his wasit and practicing his sword work. He had to impress...dad said if he kept doing as well as he was doing in all of his studies, he'd get his own real adult sword...not the crappy dull training sword that was at his current disposal.

Home indeed, in fact he was stepping in the door. Tweleve years, three kids in that time, no real problems or the like. It was a good thing. Kind of like life redemption in a sense. Shutting the door, weapons and boots were left by it and he strolled to the kitchen, just like he did everyday and reached down into the playpen, picking up the current baby that occupied it. "And have you been good today Kel? You look like you were causing trouble." Frowning as he pulled a feather out of the child's hair, giving it a scrutinizing look before walking over to his wife, child in hold, and pressing a kiss to her cheek. "Already at the kitchen I see."

"Daddy home! Daddy home!" He clapped his hands again and then latched onto his father's braid, which was as long as normal, and then rested his head against his father's cheek, doing his version of a nuzzle. "Mommy! See Daddy?"

"Always making something." Zahara chuckled at his frown and shook her head. "The girls are bringing things home again...and they shed." She stirred once more, accepting her husband's affection and tracing a finger over the baby's cheek. "Yes, I see Daddy. He looks yummy, too."

"Yummy Daddy." Giggling again, he reached out for his mother and then managed to swipe his finger into the bowl. Grinning at his parents as he slipped his fingers into his mouth, he sucked the chocolate off of them and looked at them with his father's eyes.

"Daddy!" Twin voices called out as they raced down the stairs and promptly mobbed their father, both chattering at once. Though Lyssthyren, nearly identical to her mother even at her young age with the exception of her mixed color eyes. They were more of a fuschia color than outright red, an obvious mix of her parents'. The girls continued chattering at the same time about something or other and finally Lyssie finished with, "...so can we keep it?"

Malik's empire had long expanded. with many of the humans returning to surface life, he had expanded his borders by assimilating the places left behind. As much as certain other rulers despised it.

He was in his study, going over paperwork and such for his empire. not far from him rested Malvolence. it had seen much feeding in the past twelve years. wars with orc, drow, and human.

Malik got himself up, and closed his books and replaced his maps...picking up the sword, the red glowing in his eyes for a moment before sheathing it. the blade's power was stronger now, and Malik knew it. Many experiments had been performed, and Ebony was almost ready. a few more hours, and all the gifts of Malvolence he had acquired over the years in a new home. one without a bloody need to feed.

It had been twelve long years and during that time Arthur was able to complete his whole training session with Malik, he was actually able to beat the man in his...eight duel at least. After all dueling with one Malik D"vinn can be a bit of a challenge, the man is a good skilled fighter and going up against the best can be quite a handful. Still after all this time the elf was finally able to complete what he set out to do, now all he had to do with the D"vinn's is pay them back what he owe, well with his horse he paid Piper off but he still owes to Malik and he's willing to work to pay it off. Even Sevilin still has the debt hanging over him and the elf wondered if the man will ever come by to cash in.

But right now the elf was busy doing his daily exercise, push ups, sit ups, and the usual work out with training with his blade. After all he had to redo everything with his new eye so that's why it took him a bit longer to finish off his training but it was worth it. But once he completed his last sit up the elf got into a sitting position and took a deep breath, his home was decorated nicely by the stuff he had picked out over the past twelve years but he had help from Zahara and Piper if he did go shopping with them; he was also thinking of expanding since he wanted to expand his mini library a bit more, he loved to read his books. So with a small sigh the elf got up and went to his room, he hasn't been with anyone in quite awhile after Isle but he didn't mind; yeah when he was in reverie memories of being with Zahara or Isle would come up and that be enough.

It didn’t take him long enough to clean up and get dressed for the day, he felt like heading over to Twilight for a bit, maybe hit the books or just lounge around until he found something to do; though he could always practice his magic just incase, magic was tricky and he didn't want to slack off. So quickly he got to his steed and off he went without much of a second thought.

He rolled his eyes, both at the mention of his girls bringing things home, and at his son's repeating of various things. Little guy was in that sponge stage of life. "Hey hey, don't stick your fingers in that." Shaking his head before grabbing a rag and wiping off the boy's fingers. Yup, that complusion to clean still had him. Though they all learned to deal with that.

And his attention turned to his two girls. One was older than the other yes but they were rather close. A pat to each girl's hair and a smile and chuckle for them both. Not that he understood a single word that they said, seeing as they were going at it all at once. "If it eats meat, you can't keep it." Start there and see where it got him, but another look to Zahara. "Where's Zykariel?"

Piper poked her head into the arena. "That's enough now you, you've been at it for four hours and that's more than I like you doing anyway. Come on, put up the sword and come upstairs." He was such like his father it was amusing. Turning into quite the little warrior and businessman. Still emulated him too. But she waited till he joined her and she headed upstairs with both her sons.

Malikhai ruffled his brother's hair. "Hey buddy, run into anything today?" Getting swatted by his mother as he wiped himself down some with the rag he had. "Just playing with him." He rolled his eyes though good naturedly and then headed upstairs whistling a bird call of some sorts as he pulled his tunic back on. A look over at the doors though as they opened. "Hey Galesen."

"You used to run into things too. He's only taking example from the best." Teenagers, they were a handful. But she detoured to Malik's study, shifting Dhairiss to hold in one arm and thus knock on Malik's door. Always rounding up the men. "Time for you to stop for the day too." She didn't have an idea what he did in there and she usually didn't ask.

When he heard his name Arthur's ears twitched lightly and he turned o the familiar voice who said hello. "Hello Malikhai, busy with training eh? That's good." He gave a grin as he rested on hand on top of his katana pausing lightly, the boy looked like he went through a good workout and the elf could think back to when he had spent his time down in the arena, but right now he was glad it was over to a point. Bow lessons were still something he was working on, after all Piper did help him so far now he had to keep up with it just like his magic. "So what's going on? Been awhile since I've last been around here." That was true, no training with Malik meant he had free time unless he was needed, so he did things he wanted to do like sailing and whatnot.

"I'll be out in a moment."

a small chuckle hearing his other son on the othe side of the door, handing off Ebony and Malvolence to a servant.

"I want it done in a few hours. if it's not, there will be hell to pay."

then leaving his study, walking out an d giving a kiss to his wife, and a smile and pat to his son's head.

"Is it dinner yet? lunch? or are you just making me quite before I get too deep into it for the day?"

Faatallon pumped her hand in the air. "That means I get to keep mine and you don't!" Dancing around the kitchen for a moment and laughing at her sister who was doing that about to throw a fit thing with her arms crossed, pouting.

Zahara rolled her eyes and simply reached for a wooden spoon then smacked her daughter on the head. "Keep it up and both of them will go bye bye." She set down the spoon and reached for the baby then chuckled, "He's pursuing his Destyny." Laughing softly at the joke as she bounced Kelligrin to make him laugh. "That's my Kelli." Nuzzling at him before she turned to see the girls hurry out of the kitchen. "Dinner's in about fifteen. Wash up."

Zykariel led Destyny into her stall beside Faete and settled her in for the night. He gave a sugar cube to both father and daughter. Destyny wasn't Faete's first foal, but she was by far the best. He glanced at the fork used to muck out the stalls and then shook his head. "I'll do it later."
