Marcus McFlufferson Andreis I think I see a tool to make a daemon. Here!Apparently, it is quite small.. I Think on my resolution, that's actual size.
But who'd want to use a LotR miani in 40k. It'd ned some conversion or else it'd look too tidy and detailed.

The Gulavar model is a nice model which I do anticipate seeing lots of Demon princes for WFB based upon. Although in 40k I personally refuse to use a Demon prince as there are far too many of them around and about in 40k.

You mean the "Statured" Daemon Prince model? Or a Lord with a metric assload of Gifts?

FlashbackJon You mean the "Statured" Daemon Prince model? Or a Lord with a metric assload of Gifts? Stature I hate, but really underspend on Characters. I limit my Chaos to one maybe two gifts. Usually Strength and Mutation. Occasionally they get Essence but that's because I play Thousand sons. I love it when my Thousand sons outnumber most other Chaos armies due to too many points on Characters.

Well I dont know whether to deck my possible commander with lightning claws or a powerfist. I mean, the extra attack is pretty good, and the claws look cool, especially in the pose I would put them in. Powerfist on the other hand would be a insta-death dealer, but for some reason my mind keeps on saying you dont do instant death in close combat, Im guessing this is true?
Also thinking of using him to run up and summon bloodletters to backup.

Dark Lore Meh too many kids play with Khorne. Its too 'simple'. Play Slaanesh then you'll have an army that can beat Khornate armies into the dust with shooting and combat ability. Or play a Thousand Sons Tzeench Army and learn the power of multi wounders. Though i'll never play Nurgle disease and filth just aren't on my agenda whereas mutation, change and pleasure from every sensation are just what i'm all about! i am building a slaanesh army a slaanesh bike based army with daemonittes for troop choices and a keeper as the HQ problem is ive run out of funds so ive only got 6 noise marines 3 bikes a old skool lord model i found in a bargain bin and 10 daemonettes i love blast masters.

-Mykal I know... sweatdrop So without the insta death, I still dont know whats more effective, having the powerfist would ensure like 4 deaths though.

I suppose it comes down to what your force is looking like. If you're hefting around a nice number of Lascannons or any weapon capable of making high Tougheness worry a little, I'd go with Lightning Claws. If you're mostly Bolters and not too keen on worrying about wether or not massed fire will drop that one model or group, I'd go Powerfist.
You know, construct your Commander to work in conjuction with your force. My buddy, in one of my limited games of 40k, had his Lord decked out with a Powerfist, and he was stuck popping a Guardsman or so a turn since I had nothing too pretty for him to wail on. Lightning Claws would have torn me to pieces. It didn't help that he had built his force mostly for Anti-Armor and Marine work, and Lascannons were just being overkill on my fellows.

I plan on making an army based around close combat. I will give some regular chaos space marines chainswords and pistols, maybe bump them to berserkers, and then have havoks provide ranged support. I plan on making my commander very fast and I want him to have multiple attacks, with good strength. If I were to go with a powerfist I would use D speed, D mutation, and maybe D aura/armor. With lightning claws I would include D strength. and for either I might do the once that gives him increased toughness and another wound.
I also dabbled at the though of giving him terminator armor, this gives him a 2+ save, a 5+ invuln save, +1 attack, and then if I dedicate him to khorne, this negates the sweeping advance effect.
Basicly, I just want a tough a** death dealer that will get into close combat quickly.
