Necrons will be getting their revision some time next year. wink
But Eldar players can rejoice, Imperial Armour 11 will be all about them. Well, sharing the book with Cadians, Elysians and a Chapter of Astartes. whee

Lady Blodwynn Necrons will be getting their revision some time next year. wink But Eldar players can rejoice, Imperial Armour 11 will be all about them. Well, sharing the book with Cadians, Elysians and a Chapter of Astartes. whee Im aware of the Necron update coming, but with their lack of "fluff" and stuff I can get behind, this was one of the reasons I gave up my old "high schooler" army, and chose one that is more me, and something I can get behind. Once i knew how to play 40k fully, the Eldar just called to me. I found them like a Eldar discovers their "path", and now I'm forever sunk in them. Hell, Im not a tattoo person, but I'd get a small Eldar symbol on my back left shoulder if I ever get drunk enough razz Although would be fun to have a army i can just paint fast and have as a "monster" sorta thing. Although i might just sell my necrons off, and buy that new Necron model that was released. That thing is awesome.

It might be best to sit tight and see what happens. I am certain though that their background will be expanded upon, just like with the Dark Eldar. I think we can also glimpse a thing or two about them from the upcoming novel "the Fall of Damnos", like how the Salamanders novel "Firedrake" gave us a glimpse into the revised Dark Eldar background.

x-InsigNia-x i just cant believe there are harlequins in the dark eldar codex i thought they were only in eldar. As its been stated (As much as I hate it since Harlequins are my thing for my army) the Harli's are like a neutral force. They are more like traveling deadly gypsies and tell others the tales/stories of the Eldar. Its been stated in the thread before, but still, you wont see Harli's used alot from my understanding since they cant be put into Raiders. That is what DE players hoped for, so they got the unit but not the open topped riders they wanted. GOOD.

Harlequin are the future of the Eldar, whereas the Dark Eldar are primitive and the Eldar have stopped evolving.

The Imperium is bent under stagnation, forgetting more with each passing century. The Orks, Tyranids and Tau ever evolve and improve. Necrons are at their zenith, having perfected their bodies aeons ago.

Im trying to come up with a good anti-Ork army for my Eldar, but I need a bit of help. Right now I've got Karandaras, 40 Dire Avengers, 21 Scorpions, 40 Guardians with missile launchers, 12 Shining Spears, 2 Falcons and a Fire Prism, going up against roughly 2000 points of Orks, made up of mostly Boys and Nobs, with a 3 transport vehicles, one tank (the Looted Leman Russ one) a Dread, 3 of those helicopter things and a Warboss. Game is right around 2000 points, not a Cty of Death, but in a city.
I apologize for the lack of intel on Orky stuff. I've been out of the game for a good 6 months. >_<

Have the Fire Prism hover about and blow up the Looted Tank, then have it take out the Dread or transports. Aim your Shining at the Transports if your Prism cant do so. Then make a gun line.

Jason Kharo Have the Fire Prism hover about and blow up the Looted Tank, then have it take out the Dread or transports. Aim your Shining at the Transports if your Prism cant do so. Then make a gun line. May I add: -keep an eye for the warboss, move Karandras to intercept him if possible... -massed dire avengers should make mess of boyz once you force them to footslog -keep reserve of scorpions behind the gun line, ready for counterattack at anything that survives your firepower - it doesnt have to be big, just to be there... depending on the mission: - take one-maybe two- objectives, contest all others with your fast skimmer tanks and spears -just kill anything thats green and moves razz - final piece of advice: watch out for the waaagh! charge

lol Those were basically my tactics, a few minor details changed here and there, but other wise the same. I was more looking toward if I should use different units anywhere or not, but I think I'm sticking with this set up for now. Thanks for the assist. :]

Question, I am someone who got into Eldar like half a year ago and already love them. My army revolves around the warrior aspects as they were what got me into Eldar. But my two favourite Warrior aspects are the Striking scorpions and Warp spiders, but the problem is is it worth taking them.
I'm making plans on going to a tournament into Scotland around the beginning of March. So far my army revolves around these two units, but the fact is is that I might end up going up against something against Space marines, where as they do make quite a lot attacks and are well backed up, is it such a good idea to taking them at all?
