I really find this statement bothersome, though: "SasuNaru is logical." I don't know, though - I just found it in that most recent topic.
I don't think SasuNaru is logical. I just don't see it happening. Sure, it has a beautiful kind of siblingship/friendship, but I don't see it as anything else unless it's crack. I found it equally odd, Tenshi xD I mean, I've always seen SasuNaru as crack. I think Kishimoto said himself in an interview that he dislikes shonen-ai, but the truth in that statement is something I cannot confirm. But "Epic, emotional, deep-bonds, obsessive, logical" just made me think that someone's been taking a hell of a lot of poetry classes. sweatdrop

LOL. I love it when people act like you're an idiot. Right, and how is Sasuke supposed to restore his clan other than procreation?
Restore:
1. to bring back into existence, use, or the like; reestablish: to restore order.
2. to bring back to a former, original, or normal condition, as a building, statue, or painting.
3. to bring back to a state of health, soundness, or vigor.
4. to put back to a former place, or to a former position, rank, etc.: to restore the king to his throne.
And, how does she propose he "to bring back to a former, original, or normal condition" (in other words, having Sharingan) or "to bring back into existence, use, or the like?" neutral
I just don't get it.

Totally xD I mean, I thought I was pretty compulsive about my OTP. Sasuke and Naruto are close, but not romantically. Its like you cant have a best friend without being gay with him, cuz thats basically the root of the SasuNaru pairing. They're best friends. Doesn't mean a thing.

I really want to name-drop - there's this one rabid yaoi fan, that while being literate and intelligent, can't seem to get the fact that SasuSaku has more of a chance happening than SasuNaru, not because of the "deeper, more meaningful relationship" argument, but simply because shounen manga just doesn't turn straight boys homosexual.
And as for "restore" vs "procreate," I really don't see how Sasuke's going to go about restoring without procreating. Really. Gawd. It's funny how people try to make you look like an idiot and end up seeming idiotic themselves. What hypocrites.

I really want to name-drop - there's this one rabid yaoi fan, that while being literate and intelligent, can't seem to get the fact that SasuSaku has more of a chance happening than SasuNaru, not because of the "deeper, more meaningful relationship" argument, but simply because shounen manga just doesn't turn straight boys homosexual.
And as for "restore" vs "procreate," I really don't see how Sasuke's going to go about restoring without procreating. Really. Gawd. It's funny how people try to make you look like an idiot and end up seeming idiotic themselves. What hypocrites.

No matter how many Yaoi fans they are, the chances of Kishi turning his main characters homosexual are so small that they're practically not even there. Gay characters hardly ever appear in shonen. The closest we got to gay was Haku << and we all know what happened to Haku. *mauled*

I like yaoi as much as the next person, but I don't like SasuNaru at all.
It doesn't fit. Sasuke needs someone that's a quiet comfort and warmth, and someone who will make him laugh occasionally.
Naruto mainly pisses him off, but he also has a grudging respect for him and does care for him. Just not like that.
Semi-abusive relationships wouldn't work with Sasuke.
And anything else makes noth of them [especially Naruto] very OOC.

I've read quite a few SasuNaru fan-fictions where Sasuke and Naruto have been kept perfectly in character. [And Naruto can be quiet when he wants to be. Funny, too. He and Sakura are a lot alike.]
If both of them were gay, Sasuke and Naruto would work fine in a relationship. They are best friends, after all. And good relationships build from good friendship. [Of course Sasuke would have to go through a good number of beatings -- and probably lectures -- to regain that 'good friendship.'] If Kishimoto wanted it to become canon, he could make it fit very well. It would fit right now if Naruto and Sasuke swung that way.
