Amaya watched quietly while Ryoko attended to her fellow cell member. They were such an odd team the four them. Clearly each of them were very capable individuals and preferred their space. So whose odd idea had it been to try and get three lone youngsters to work together? Amaya wasn't sure who was in charge of such matters any longer. Not with all the changes that had happened the past year, and especially since she had only just returned to the village not so long ago. The Kage could still be the one with the final word. But this was her squad and that was that. There was no use questioning how things had gotten to be.
When the conversation turned to light teasing, Amaya turned her head to the side, the slightest hint of pink coloring what was visible of her half-masked face. She knew exactly what Ryoko-sensei was referring to but hadn't a clue about any of it through any sort of personal experience. She wasn't an idiot though, and could only hope that part of her personal training with Ryoko didn't involve any awkward variations of "The Talk".
Ryoko's laughter caught Amaya's attention once more and she eased herself back into a fighting stance. Would Reck be joining them? That would add an interesting element to the mix. After all, Ryoko's father was right. Versatility and adaptation. That was what Amaya remembered of her grandmother.
"Again then." She moved to reach for the hilt of her butterfly swords but stopped herself. This too was part of her training. She couldn't always rely on her blades in a tight situation and Ryoko-sensei hadn't given her permission to involve them in their efforts yet. An adjustment was made to her stance and then Amaya rushed forward into the assault.

Before Reck knew what was really happening, a rock popped him on his head and almost knocked him off his rock sending him into a slight daze. Ryoko-sensei brushed him off and took a napkin with a girls number out of his back pocket and tossed it back to him implying that was why he was so late then spoke about their lesson for the day. "Sorry Ryoko-sensei for being late again and ummm...she had nothing to do with my lateness. ha-ha." Reck then took the napkin and shoved it in his left pocket not worring weather it would crumple or not then played like he caught his breath already and jumped around near Ryoko. "Im ready for my lesson Sensei! Show mw now! Is it something cool or powerful or even forbidden?! Come on!"

[[hmmm the talk… thanks for the idea B.C.]]
[6/20]
Ryoko smiled a bit. She looked to the girl and listened as Reck made excuses. A slow shake of her head and a sigh followed her as she stood there and deflected the girls attacks once more. Ryoko had calmed down a good deal now compared to how she was earlier. Her instinct to counter was slowly dieing down and her urge to complete something was building. Ryoko was the type of person who would sit and focus on a single event till there was nothing left of it. It was at that point that she would be complete as she would have moved her mind through every avenue and possibility of it. Granted, she wasn’t the smartest person in the world but her deductive reasoning was astonishing. That is how she was able to deduce this jutsu so quickly.
Reck’s words moved into her mind and she kept them on the back burner till Amaya had struck and been deflected. Again her bone connected with Amaya’s attacking limb. Ryoko put a bit of a snap into her block which would only cause it to sting even more. “Boy’s and their need for destruction.” She giggled a bit.
Standing straight up, she looked to Reck, “This is a defensive style created by my father but he never finished it and so, here we are now. Amaya’s attacking me and I’m following the instructions my dad left. I think I’ve almost got it. If you want to join, then come at me however you like. It’ll help me figure this out a bit faster.”

((haha...damn. xp ))
Strike after strike was delivered as swiftly as Amaya could muster. The desire to make the breakthrough and finally help to finish the work of a former great shinobi was exhilarating. She would attack until every muscle in her body ached if it meant bringing them that much closer to their goal. A kick was sent in towards Ryoko's head, and then a jab. Again, that blasted sharp pain raced up through Amaya's limb. This time it wasn't her hand that felt the sting though, but her whole forearm. She hissed a wince and couldn't help but halt her assault after having that last attack deflected. The hand of her good arm rubbed at the sore limb quickly. During those moments, Ryoko took the time to explain exactly what was happening to Reck. Amaya wondered briefly if she should allow Reck to get in his go before getting back into the mix. But no. That didn't seem anything like Ryoko-sensei's style. She was more than likely ready to take them both on.
Giving her wrist an experimental twist and her forearm a good flex or so, Amaya gave a quick nod to herself, feeling that she was just fine to keep going. So she gave a good side step to avoid clashing with Reck's advances, should he so chose to make them, and moved in towards Ryoko with another barrage of strikes.

Reck grinned at Ryoko-sensei when he heard the type of training they were doing today and jumped back afew feet to a safe attacking distance and got into a fighting position. "Whatever you say Ryoko-senesi. Here I come." Reck moved his feet a little to get a hold of the traction of the ground then charged in at Ryoko and skidded into her with his leg raised and threw two kicks at her upper body quickly and jumped with his other leg and threw a back kick at her head and held his hands down to catch himself after the last attack made contact.

[[7/20]] [[hot damn the dice don’t like you Reck. XD Ok, to explain my logic for this training, the first 3 rolls are just for attack sakes, just to be official and crap. I know you guys don’t have 3 attack rolls but for this training, its fine. And the last one is to see if your understanding what your seeing Ryoko do. After so many posts, Ryoko will start to tutor you on what’s going on while you kill each.. errr I mean attack each other. ]]
This was good. The shiver of pleasure ran down Ryoko’s back as she grinned almost evilly. It would be almost like a new energy was filling her body as she glanced from one student to the other. They were both into the martial arts, that was obvious but their potential there is was actually quite interesting. She could see great things in them and knew that she had to work to enhance her own skill if she ever hoped to keep up with them. Of course, the words of her father flooded into her mind,
“There is no greater joy for a teacher than to see one’s students not only match them but surpass them.” Of course, these brats still had a ways to go. Even with their Ninjutsu training, she still probably could pummel them to a pulp with regular martial arts but it was cute to see them trying.
Amaya was first up, she was coming in with a few different attacks as usual. Although… Ryoko could see the frustration building upon the young girls face. She was trying to be different, unique but was having a hard time. In this small span of training, there really wasn’t any room for uniqueness but Ryoko would still encourage her. “Come on Amaya, you can do better than this. You gonna let a boy show you up?” A bit of messing around never hurt anyone and it’d probably be just what Amaya needed. A little fury to burn under her would do her good.
Just as before, Ryoko’s blocks were coming in quite stingingly. Again she was thrust her arm forward to block the girl’s incoming strikes and putting quite a decent amount of force behind them. However, it came as a bit of a shock that one of the strikes did connect but Ryoko had been trained to take a hit here and there so she adapted quite easily and simply brushed the other strike away. That would cause the girl to back off for a moment certainly and then she could focus on the little fireball Reck.
Reck… was a little lackluster today for some odd reason. His strikes were coming in quite sluggishly and one… well one Ryoko nailed Reck’s leg right on the soft tissue above the knee just because of how sloppy it was. The back kick wasn’t really much of a challenge to deflect either. “RECK!” she barked, “What’s wrong with you?! Come at me seriously, NOW…”

[[Danm you dice! lol.]]
Reck jumped back slightly and placed his hand on his leg right over the knee cap where Ryoko struck him. "Ahhh, that hurt." He then heard Ryoko-sensei bark at him to be serious and he jumped back up to his feet and looked at her. "Fine Ryoko-sensei! Yah!" He charged in at her again and when he was within range he threw a punch at her face followed by a second punch to her gut then a kick to her left knee.

Amaya fought through the tough deflections and blocks, completely on the offensive. Even when some of Ryoko-sensei's blocks pinched her nerves, she bit back her yelps and urged on. She'd even managed to get in a good hit. But that small success was quickly placed in order by a solid deflection that sent her stumbling back a foot or so. In that moment, she drew in deep breaths to regulate her breathing. Now that she wasn't moving around as much, her arms and shins tingled numbly. A little annoying, but better than the dull aching she knew she was going to feel tomorrow morning after everything bruised up real nice.
Ryoko's taunting was something that would actually work a bit effectively for Amaya. Not that she really cared about anyone showing her up per-say as much as she cared about holding her own and proving herself. She hadn't at all forgotten that cliff side training her, Reck and Izumi did all those months ago. Amongst her team, she was the smallest but she refused to be a weak link. So while Reck was striking, Amaya jumped back into the fray as well, attacking Ryoko from her far back right. It was inevidable that some fool would try to strike her from behind on the battlefeild, so Amaya hoped to provide some useful advances from the disadvantaged angle starting with a round of hard punches and followed up with a kick towards Ryoko's ribs.

One again, training alone...
But Shinratsu preferred it that way best. Nowadays, he was getting less and less time alone anyways... It was a bit irking in some aspects. But on the rare occasion that he was free to simply do whatever he wish...here he could comfortably self-pace himself... After a long moment, he looked up, and sighed. He wasn't able to keep his promise to Cronos the other day, because he ended up unexpectedly going on a mission...actually, cross that. He ended up going on two - literally from sunrise to sunset. Right now...he really should go home and get some sleep but... There was training to do. He upheld a schedule on his own and Shinratsu was stalwart not to break it.
So what could he do? After ten wasted moments of indecision, Shinratsu decided to head to the village library. Now, Iwa's village library wasn't as grand as Kiri's but...he made do, and after memorizing the map, proceeded to browse the Jutsu section. It was customary that Jutsus past C-rank was withheld from the Genin population, in the case that they do try and end up lethally draining their chakra reserves; so, Shinratsu wasn't surprised to discover only an assorted range of D and C rank Jutsus. But no matter what, it was a good place to start in building up his arsenal. It probably wasn't wise to start with the C-ranked techniques, so Shinratsu took to looking over the D-rank Jutsus first.
Hm... Genjutsu Kai and Shunshin no Jutsu. Both could potentially prove useful in the future. But he can't master Genjutsu Kai without a training partner and right now, it was probably ill-advised to go searching the village for the Nara and waste time. So, the boy settled on Shunshin no Jutsu. He purchased a blank scroll and spent some time copying the information on the original Shunshin no Jutsu scroll.
Nothing surprising learned from there. It was a basic and widely used technique, even if differing villages have slightly different forms of it. And back in Kiri, he had often read over common combination tactics, and Shunshin no Jutsu was among the most commonly used complementary technique... Though simple, it would be a handy technique to have in his arsenal. When he was done copying the scroll, he returned the original - just in time too as the librarian began kicking everyone out - and he headed out to the plateau to train.
Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' A very basic jutsu, it appears that most shinobi above Genin-rank know it. Using chakra to activate the body, the user is able to move from one point to another with extreme speeds. This super-fast movement is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. To a normal person, it would seem as if the user has teleported. The amount of Chakra used depends on the distance and elevation between the user and the destination. Cp cost: 1 per ft Damage: N/A Requirements: Dexterity 20+ Training days: 3 days. Special: When rolling initiation checks or racing, or anything that involves speed, add chk mod to the dice roll.

[[8/20]] It was a good tag team event to be sure. Reck hopped back into things more like Ryoko was use to seeing him. She saw a good deal of potential in this boy so it irritated her when she saw him slacking off or going lower than his absolute ability would allow. Granted, this was training and to go FULL out would be insane and cause several problems but to hold back too much would be just as deadly. The sound of the dirt shifted began to blur out as a hard gust of wind came through the plateau and picked up all manor of noises and sounds.
The few trees that resided upon the face of the plateau russled quite a bit and, along with Reck actually doing what he should, Ryoko had a good bit of trouble hearing the sneak attack coming behind her. His speed was picking up, which was good. Ryoko deflected the first strick off to the side with no effort. Same with the second that he threw at her stomach. She would drop her block from the face attack directly onto his arm from the lower attack so the force would probably sting like hell. As for the kick, she just barely got a block down toward that region to stop his kick.
This is where she faltered. Having to stop Reck’s attack with such precision would cause her to drop her guard slightly. Again the wind whipped up and a stinging pain caught her back and sprang her attention back there. The girl had gotten around behind her and landed another strike. Ryoko used the momentum of punch from Amaya to slip over to the side. This would put her at an angle to where both Reck and Amaya were at angles from her so she would instantly see the next strike from Amaya coming. Payback would be sweet as Ryoko would put a good deal of torque into stopping the next punch that came towards her.
This would push Amaya into her kick and that was a bit closer than Ryoko cared for but she stopped it just as hard but it came far closer to attacking.
A deep sigh left her lips as she stood there. She was finally seeing the attack. Amaya’s verity was good but it wasn’t the necessary gist of this attack. “Good, keep coming. I think I’ve got it kiddies…” Ryoko grinned a bit as she took up the defensive position once more ready for another attack.

It was dark out, but it wasn't like he feared the night. It was probably cold too, but the cold didn’t bother him...well, probably prolonged exposure might have an effect even on him, but his new clothes took care of that problem.
Shunshin no Jutsu. A basic Jutsu art of high-speed movement technique. Hm...the scroll never did mention any handseals, so it was probably safe to assume that there was none. In that case, then, the technique probably relied on the basic Tiger or any other of the zodiac seals for initialization. However...it was decidedly best to approach this technique without seals at all... After all, against doujutsu using opponents like Elruda-chiisai-hime...they could spot the seals and it would be a clear warning sign that a technique was being initialized. Well, her ability to see chakra was another point and...doujutsus vary from limit to limit, and there are many aspects of enhanced perception. And also, when facing mimickers like the Uchiha clan...sealess and one-handed techniques gives a slight edge in performance speed - before the technique could be duplicated.
Shinratsu glanced down at the rolled-up scroll in his lap. Ever since the day the Konoha troope had arrived in Iwa...he had found himself visiting the library more and more often to obtain whatever information there was available publicly. Was it perhaps just out of habit, due to his own family's status...or more particularly, their specific duties in Kiri? Well, anyhow...first Hyuuga, then Senju...Nara...and then eventually Uchiha from the hints Yokou dropped to the third member of her former squad. In all honesty, there wasn't that much useful information on them. Whatever there was was probably classified and even then...in the six centuries since Konoha's founding, the founding families themselves probably deviated from the traditional path, while making use of existing strengths for further characteristic improvement.
But he wasn't sure if he could keep his promise to Yokou... To totally disregard relying on seals... Certain, in all theory, he knew well enough that chakra alone was enough to activate Shunshin no Jutsu - or any Jutsu for that matter. But this hesitation to face this technique in a different light... Oh, what does it matter... Seals or sealess, he was wasting time just sitting around in indecision. Concentrating on his chakra system, Shinratsu focused on the eight main chakra points of the body: from the top of the head, down the spinal chord to the gut, and then finally to the heart.
But regardless...this isn't teleportation. Merely using chakra as a balancing point to enhance speed. However, the good point is...once he masters this Jutsu...he can reach normally unreachable heights by using chakra like a trampoline. In some aspects like the Kawarimi... Shinratsu thought distantly. Focus on the chakra of the body and the on a target area... He picked the marking target as a pebble about a foot away from him. A burst of chakra and he was off.
...
By some stroke of luck, that first time, somehow, he had managed it!

Encouraged by that initial success, Shinratsu became determined to repeat it... If all goes well, perhaps he could go home earlier tonight. However...a few minutes later...disappointment settled over him. Generally, it was very difficult for anything to really get under his skin but...
Alright...
That success on his first time around was definitely due to some stroke of ungodly luck. Shin thought, as he observed the dastardly results of his second attempt. Actually...does this even count as an 'attempt'? Far worse than simply failing to complete the Jutsu... It didn't even initialize: He didn't even move. And though like the first time, his aim was a mere foot away from his current starting point... This time, he had released the chakra too early instead of compressing first and then using it propel forth and thus enhance speed... Shinratsu sighed, rubbing his head. He could see how sealess techniques are difficult to master now.
Well... With success, there is expected to be failures. And he would be a fool, to let something so minor bother him. He was only just barely started on this technique...giving up was certainly not an option. Since he chose not to use handseals...the only choice he had was to focus on the eight main chakra points as a basis. Close your mind to distractions... Concentrate just on the chakra system...
The air surrounding his frame glowed faintly blue with chakra.

Shinratsu's eyes snapped open, and he appeared disturbed. Hastily, he dispelled the gathering chakra, his anxiety seemingly growing the longer it took the wave of chakra to dissipate. When it finally did, however, he breathed a sigh of relief. Too close. How could he have been so careless, as to allow some of his Hyouton chakra to mix in? Troublesome... The boy thought. Because his clan breaks the expected rules of nature manipulation...first he had to decompose chakra in order to use affinity-less techniques: raw chakra Jutsus. There was some benefits, sure...because of this, his chakra control was unnaturally strong. Well, though come to think of it...for the Ayame Tori, it didn't matter...was it only because the chakra was just being channeled through the wire, so already having an affinity made very little difference...?
Never mind. He wasn't exactly excited to find out exactly what a Shunshin initialized with Hyouton chakra could do... In fact, he quite knew very well the outcome. Irritating. The boy decided, with a frown. Does that mean every time he start a new Jutsu without supervision, he might accidentally land himself in the hospital? The gauntlets usage are growing more and more limited... Either he'll have to find some way of strengthening that seal or further improve his chakra control. The chances of finding a seal master however...
He'll probably have more luck with the latter.
Sighing, Shinratsu shut his eyes and concentrated on his chakra.

Another failure... That was somewhat discouraging. But if it made him feel any better, at least he had moved somewhat. A couple of inches, that is to say. His expression grew a little displeased (expression: -_-). So, so far...starting count from the rock he begun at...he had traveled exactly one foot and two and a third inches. Perhaps that was a bit unwise of him... The boy mused. While back at the library, he should've picked out some other scrolls on Shunshin no Jutsu too. Well... Too late to change his mind now. It would be too troublesome to travel back into the village and than all the way back to the serene quietness of the plateau, besides - the library was already closed anyways for today. So, he should make do of what he has.
Shinratsu racked his mind for any memories of shinobi back at his old village using the Shunshin. Sometimes, one of the best methods to learn, was to learn from what you see... However, without someone to explain the actual inner workings of the technique, he'll pretty much have to figure out and reconstruct from what he does know.

This was becoming rather trying. What was he doing wrong? Was he releasing too much chakra? More likely too little... But this was becoming rather ridiculous... For the past five minutes he had been trying to move, but three attempts had yielded fruitless result. It wasn't the chakra cost that bothered him, either...since he kept his goal reasonable, there was nothing to fear of running out of chakra due to fatigue. Yet still... Still, he was wasting chakra on fruitless efforts. Was it perhaps an unwise idea after all to do Shunshin before the Kai technique?
Don't be ridiculous. He couldn't do Kai anyways without a partner that could initialize the complementary half. And besides...if he master a more difficult technique, when learning the former later, it will become easier... So concentrate. Shinratsu willed himself to focus just on the chakra molding process.
