What I would suggest, is taking a few random screen shots to practice on.
Open up paint, and paste the screenie in there.
Then, go to the top, and click the little lined box.
*Top Row, Second Column*
Make sure the first option is highlighted, the in the picture.
Then, simply click, and drag over the area of the screenie you want.
Then, right click, copy.
Then, open up a new paint window, right click paste.
Once you have the screenie the way you want it, simply move
to the bottom corner of the white space, click and hold the blue box,
and drag it to the corner of your screenie.
Simple as that. Once you do it a few times, you'll get the hang of it.
To upload them, all you have to do is make an account on a website like
Photobucket. Once you do, you should
be able to go to your account home page and see a white box that says
"Upload Images and Video." There's a blue button that says "Choose file."
Click that and it will open up a window; usually your Documents. All you
have to do is go to the place where you saved your picture, double click
it, and wait for it too load.
Once it's uploaded, hover your mouse over the picture and a drop-down
menu will appear. To post an image, use the last link. To post the link
to the picture, use the Direct Link.

My computer is being stupid, and considering its old age, it's okay. So here are the basics of my bank account:
335k, 235 lobsters, more than 500 various seeds, and my cat named Fii-Pib or "Pib", his milk and mackeral in there, I have 4 Varrock teleports and 11 Camelot teleports.
