The shinobi barely glanced at the Smoochum as he walked past. A Pokemon like that.., he definitely didn't need. That in mind, he continued forward down the mountain.

In the Garden of Monsters
Hiro was expecting a lot of things, but that wasn't it ....as the rock beneath his feet shook and wobbled. The boy would look at the Solrock and his immediately thought was to crush it ...as Fluke would move to his side as another quiver sent the boy to his knees.
They could probably kill it, quite quickly too, but, there was a huge chance that is rock wouldn't make it. That it would fall before Fluke could get back and then there was a chance of lost.
Then again, he could leap to the side and continue the battle, but something else caught him ....as he saw one of the rocks on the side of him plummet and fall. HIs eyes peering over the edge as he realized that he didn't hear a crash afterwards.
Maybe, just maybe, this might be a way to a new area and perhaps a new pokemon to capture.
"Fluke stand down, let's see where this ride is going."
He would tell the Dwebble who looks at him as though he is insane. To a certain extend, he was ....as Hiro would hunker closer to the stone and wait to see what would happen as he let the Solrock continue.
Though he didn't know it, what he requested of Fluke was hard. The pokemon could understand his rant, and the bug pokemon wanted to put him in his place. He wasn't some God, just a pokemon with a move more powerful than he had any right to have.
He wanted to charge forward and teach him that lesson, but it would seem that his trainer had other plans as they tried to ride out this shaking as the rock they were perch on grew more unstable.

(Oh. Would saying to interrupt the attack work as well?)
The attack missed wonderfully, and Pansear maintained his momentum. Now it was time to be a bit more tactical. "Pansear, use taunt!" Pansear put a finger near his eye, pulling it down while simultaneously sticking out his tongue at the Slugma.

The vein in the Pinsir's head throbbed, seeming to triple in size with every word that came from the boy and his Larvesta. ">Old? OLD!? OI!? WHO YOU CALLIN OLD!? YOU SAYIN' I'M SOME DECREPIT FART!?<" Barked, saliva splattering the ground in front of him as his mouth began to froth. Seemed they'd sent this Bug-type into a raging frenzy! ">HSHTDGJRTJDFHXTSD<" As it roared this utter nonsense, eyes practically turning red, the Pokemon charged forward. Head lowered, arms at it's side, the Bug-type's pincers opened wide as it went straight for the boy's Larvesta. If the diminutive worm got caught between them he'd surely be crushed in a Vicegrip!
A shadow fell over the Gligar's features for a moment as the Shieldon spoke. In fact his face actually seemed to grow smaller as a second. Leaning to one side in order to lazily look passed the prehistoric Narcissus the Guardian would call out to Jin-Hua ">You.....uh....have any other Pokemon by chance?<" It wasn't that he was afraid, it was just this particular Shieldon was a bit disgusting....not to mention he had something of a reputation in this area. Frankly they'd all thought he was gone and were rather happy for it....
Sighing, though his expression never changed, the Gligar would begin walking forward. Swinging his right arm, the claw at the end would begin to glow like well polished steel. ">S'pose it can't be helped<" He said, but as he swung that limb forward his face suddenly grew more serious, almost more detailed, as he followed through with a Metal Claw!
Travelling along the path surprisingly unmolested by the harsh wilderness, what Alice would encounter next would be an unexpectedly innocent sight. Seated on a small platform, a Ralts was gently rolling a green ball back and forth. She'd be able to walk passed easily and unnoticed if she so chose.
The incoming attack would rush at the bug pokemon as Valiant found that the old bug was actually pretty sensitive about his age. Ducking lightly, Valiant was getting ready to move underneath those massive pincers as Shiloh would call out.
"That much weight in it's head, means that this legs are weak. You have to avoid that attack and then aim for the back of his legs. Dodge it."
There was times when the young bug could see some flaws in his trainer's logic. Of course he was going to avoid it, he didn't actually need to be told that ...as he dove towards the bug and tries to flatten himself at the right point so that the claws would miss and he could literally slide underneath the attack.
(No sense in getting so mad ...it's bad for an your blood pressure)
Valiant would call out as the attack came at him.

The Pinsir wasn't the one that was going to be needing to worry about blood! Sticky ichor splattered against the Pinsir's barbed prongs dug into the Larvesta's body, crushing and grinding the smaller insect. Steam rose from the Bug-type as the naturally hot blood of his Fire-type foe rapidly cooled against his body. As the Scourge dropped Valiant, this only served to intensify the Pinsir's already intimidating appearance. This Pokemon was a Goliath, a Juggernaut who could not be stopped; and Shiloh had pissed it off.
">OI! THAT ALL YA GOT PUNK!? EH!?<" The Pinsir spat, eyes still red as it glared at the youth. This would be a good time to run; at least if Shiloh had any sense.
Bad luck. He could call it nothing else but that as he watches as Valiant's body was sent to the ground a bloody mess. The rising and falling of the packmen's side let him know that he hadn't died, which was good. He would look into the eyes of this pokemon and grit his teeth.
He didn't like to lose, but this was definitely his lost.
Shiloh didn't waste time as he recalls the pokemon and then looks to face the Pinsir. He didn't want to show his back to this enemy, but he had no other choice. The boy would take one deep breathe before he turned and ran away.
"I won't forget this."
he shouted back and actually wince at how corny it sounded. Yet, what other choice did he have ...it was better to go and heal his pokemon and come back again ...then to fight and die.
Then neither one of them would get home.
Yes, this little adventure had been unfortunate, but at least it hadn't been fatal.

">YEAH YOU BETTER RUN!<" The Pinsir would shout as Shiloh departed, but it seemed that wasn't the only insect he was going to encounter today.
Before he managed to reach the edge of the island, Shiloh would spot a Ledyba repeatedly striking an overgrown Tamato Berry as if it were a punching bag. What the Pokemon lacked in skill he evidently made up for with pure unbridled enthusiasm.
In another time, in another place, Shiloh might have shown interest in the bug type. It was obviously using a move that it wouldn't normally have considering how Ledyba is made, and the berry it was punching would have required further inspection. But now, now, the boy was mad.
he had lost to the bug type and he didn't have to know what it said to understand he had been mocked. There was a bit of regret at the last of Soiree because the fire type move would have been useful against it, but then again, it was a one hit knock out.
One that Valiant survived that Soiree would have more than likely died from.
No, he had the better pokemon, it was simply bad luck.
The boy would pass by the bug without giving it a single glance as he saw the water and the boat not too far ahead. The Wartortle probably hadn't had a good chance to rest before he had returned defeated.
There was a bit of a blush on his face at the embarrassment of it all.

Shiloh would return to find red stained water filled with tufts of brown fur, and a collection of Wartortle patting their bellies happily. Apparently they'd decided to have a snack while he was gone. With full stomachs, they'd have more than enough energy to take him back to the Academy.
The blood stain water startling him enough to forget about his embarrassment. He didn't know why, but he always figured that Wartortle was more of a vegetarian sort of pokemon. Then again, their name did have War in it.
He had learned something new and without anything to comment on he avoided the bloody water to get back into the boat.
If they could do that to whatever pokemon that was, he didn't want to accident be confused for a meal.
Shiloh was quiet as he headed back to the academy

(Not sure if I should do this, but I figured it hurt nothing to do it)
His second attempt, and Shiloh had to admit he hope he had better luck. The island was coming into view again, and he felt a bit sick at the thought of being back in that place of death and decay.
"Well, Valiant, this is our second attempt. No retreat this time, and no surrender."
It was his motto and he was choosing to stick by it as they came close to their stop.

As you step off the boat, the sunshine and bright nature of the ocean ends as you enter the woods. Instead shadows loom overhead casting all sorts of forms and shapes throughout the way. Staying on the brown grassy trail would be wise. Odd as it may be, a thick fog begins to creep up rising from the ground to make sight almost impossible. You must trudge along hoping not to get lost. Silence marks the forest except for the sounds as the leaves and sticks crackle beneath your feet. Beware what could be lurking and what illusions this place may hold. The forest holds secrets and you could be its next victim.
