Dark rushes through the group of Magmas, throat punching a few before reaching their leader.
"Darke you son of a... Give back the Blue Orb and those papers!"
Darke turns to Darke, genuinely surprised. "So... They actually let you go..." Darke chuckles. "You're always full of surprises..." Darke runs his fingers over the large scar on his face."So it's come to this, has it Inspector?" Darke cackles, grabbing a Pokeball off of his belt. "I'll let you know I've become far stronger than I was before."
Dark grabs a Pokebal off of his belt. "Well so have I."
The two throw their Pokeballs at the same time.
A ravishing red Gyarados appears to face down a Spiritomb.
In unison, the rivals shout out attacks.
"Dragon Dance!" is called on the Aqua side.
"Nasty Plot!" comes from the Magma.
Gyarados does a mystical dance while the Spiritomb plots something awful.
"Aqua Tail!" Dark swings his arm, feeling the intensity of the battle. He had to win this no matter what.
"Dark Pulse." Darke orders, sounding more confident than his opponent.
Gyarados slams her tail into Spiritomb, doing heavy damage but not quite bringing it down.
Spiritomb lets out a vicious pulse of black energy, blasting the not dragon Pokemon, bringing her below half health.
"Earthquake!" Dark yells, knowing KOing the Spiritomb will give Scarlet a nice attack boost thanks to her Moxie ability.
"Pain Split!" Darke shouts, hoping to get some health back. It had just dawned on him that Spiritomb wasn't affected by Intimidate when the battle started.
Scarlet lets out a powerful roar and slams her tail into the ground, causing a massive tremor, which shakes the ghost up into unconsciousness. Gyarados' Moxie raises her attack by one stage.
"Dammit!" Darke snarls. He recalls his Pokemon and sends out a Milotic, holding a Petaya Berry.
"Scarlet, use Strength!""Milotic Rest!"
The Gyarados rams into the Milotic, bringing it's health to near 0! Milotic munches on her Petaya Berry, then goes to sleep to restore HP. Darke grins, now able to take full advantage of Marvel Scale.
"Strength again Scarlet!""Sleep Talk."
Gyarados rams into the Milotic, now bringing it to around a quarter health.
The sleeping Pokemon lets out a wail and blasts Scalding hot water at Gyarados,bringing her to low health and leaving a Burn.
The two repeat their orders but Milotic goes down before being able to attack. Then, sadly, Gyarados goes down from her burn. Dark recalls her quickly and sends out a Zweilous while Darke recalls his Pokemon and sends out a Starmie.
"Tiamat use Crunch!""Starmie Dazzling Gleam!"
"Dazzling...? Wait NO!" Dark shouts as his dragon Pokemon is hit with a devastating 4x weakness attack. His Pokemon lets out a feint roar before dropping. He disappointingly recalls him.
"Hahahaha what was that supposed to be?!"
Dark throws another ball. "I know I asked for your help already, but go Misery!"
In a flash of light the super sad Kirlia appears. She then traces Natural Cure.
"Misery, thunderbolt!""Starmie Flash Cannon!"
The star Pokemon focuses light into it's crystal and shoots a strange ball of steel energy into Misery, doing major damage and leaving her weak.
Misery then begins yelling, he entire body exploding with electricity. She extends her hands out towards her opponent and a large bolt of lightning launches itself from her hands and blasts the star. Starmie quivers as it's struck with paralysis.
"You lucky son of a...." Dark growls and grits his teeth as he prepares to order another attack.
"Thunderbolt again Misery!" Now faster, the little Psychic Pokemon lets off another bit of lightning, KOing the Starmie.
Darke growls and sends out a Gabite, causing Dark to laugh.
"Dazzling Gleam!" Dark calls to his Pokemon.
"Slash!" Darke orders.
Kirlia goes first and hits the Gabite with a STAB dazzling attack, that luckily hits critical. Gabite goes down without even attack.
Darke, getting worried now, sends out his Tyrunt.
"Again Misery." Dark watches as the Kirlia KOs the Tyrunt with her fairy powers. Darke then sends out his last Pokemon, a Combusken.
"Psychic Misery!" Dark orders, now grinning.
"Poison Jab!"
The combusken goes first and finishes Misery off with his toxic claws.
"You've done well, you deserve your rest." Dark says to Misery as he recalls her. He then sends out his Monferno. Monferno grips his Lucky Egg.
"Power-Up Punch!" Dark orders, feeling confident thanks to Diddy's Iron Fist ability.
"Peck!" Darke could feeling his impending loss reach ever closer. He was pretty much ready to make his escape.
The two Pokemon swap blows, each doing about equal damage, but Monferno's attack goes up a stage.
"Acrobatics!" Dark orders with a grin.
Monferno does some fancy footwork and smashes into Combusken for some super-effective damage, ultimately ending the battle.

"Ha... Hahaha..." Darke recalls his Pokemon. "So you beat me in battle... that's fine." He looks around to see the other Magma grunts retreating. "It doesn;t matter. I now have the Blue Orb and you've lot the allegiance of your team mates. Ultimately both legendary Pokemon and the lost city of gold will be ours. Your resistance is futile at best... Oh well." With one more cackle Darke runs off with the rest of his team.
Dark lets out a deep sigh and meets up with the rest of his group. He reaches into his coat and pulls out the Blue Orb and the calculations for Terra and Marine cave.
"Good 'ol Misery... Anyway I'll be heading back to HQ to prepare rewards... I ask you guys keep my true identity a secret from anyone not in our group, at least for now."
Dark prepares to leave but stops and looks at the rest of the group.
"You can catch any Rock, Ground, Water or grass type available at your rank somewhere around here."

Dark leaves several packages in the main room, each one labeled for each participant.

Maddy: 4,000 PD, 3 Luxury Balls, 3 Full Restore, 10 CP
Allen: 4,000 PD, 3 Luxury Balls, 3 Full Restore
Ace: 3,500 PD 2 Luxury Balls, 2 Full Restore
Brian: 3,500 PD, 2 Luxury Balls, 2 Full Restore
Ren: 2,000 PD, 1 Luxury Ball, 1 Full Restore
Ginji: 1,000 PD and a pat on the back.

He then heads off to bed.

With her pokemon exhausted from the battles and a lot of drama to take in to, she decided to skip catching a pokemon and headed off to the shore. Plus Leon, the squirtle, needed some strength to return back to the base. Perhaps another time.

Allen landed on the beach, quickly returning his Pokemon and nearly walked into base. Instead, he turned around, thinking over the information again. He sighed, walking up a the hill nearer to the city.

Cody popped into the common room, grumbling under his breath. The ref test had been taking up a lot of his time, and he was starting to get really mad about it.
"Gah! This sucks!" he shouts, throwing his graded test onto the table in front of him. "Redo the whole test? I don't think so..."

Cody shook his head, turning to Dark. "This damn test is just so annoying," he replied, his voice still raised. "It sucks when you just get a grade without any red "x"s on the answers you got wrong. How am I supposed to retake this?"

Maddy entered the common room and spotted Dark and Cody.
"Hey." She greeted the two. "How's it going?" She was more concerned about how Dark was holding out.
