☽ Emma sat under her preferred tree outside in the field of flowers while reading... or trying to read. There were quite a few reasons why she couldn't focus, one of which was her thinking about the future issues. She frowned finally and fell on the soft ground, laying in the flowers on her side as she stared at her book while thoughts of what had happened in that future ran through her mind. She wished she talked to her future self more but it seemed as quickly as they got there, they ended up disappearing and she never got a chance to talk. She also didn't get a chance to talk with Chris or Sarah more. She continued to frown slightly as these thoughts buzzed through her head. ☾

Never Again...Herald walked up to Emma slowly, a look of frustration on his face. "A bridge....they created a bridge," he was muttering angrily. "And that cat wandering around our realm....if I find that thing....I WILL find that thing..." they hadn't been home that long, but the bridge Texas had created was immediately apparent. It had taken Herald a few minutes to figure out what had happened after finding slight traces of resonance force from someone else who had been going through their realm. Whoever it was had certainly made themselves at home. It had gone through the flower field and into their fortress, eating a few things in the kitchen and then going upstairs. It went into their room and rolled around on the bed leaving white cat hair. It had gone into their bathroom and actually taken a bath in their bathtub! Herald had been beyond pissed when he discovered all this. The spirits had been totally inadequate at stopping it. And Herald was determined to change that. He had immediately created his own massive gate on his side of the bridge and slammed it shut. He would deal with that Texas idiot later. Right now he had cat skinning on his mind. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma glanced up at Herald as he came by. She had sort of left him alone once they discovered that something had casually strolled around their realm and intentionally made themselves at home to piss off Herald. She wanted to give him time to calm down before talking about the issue. "I can try to find Matt and see what he has to say about this," she said from where she was laying. ☾

Never Again...Herald looked over at Emma and sighed, rubbing his temples. He had hoped they'd be able to relax together as soon as they got back. But this was driving him up the wall. "Don't worry about it," he told her. "Whatever it was crossed over through the gap into Mirai's realm so she and Texas probably know something about it." He walked over and leaned up against the tree letting out a sigh. "I'm sorry. I never should have let something get into our realm. I ran off without thinking about the hole I made when we went to get Mirai." It seemed he was not only angry with SC but also with himself. Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma stared up at Herald for a little while longer before pushing herself back up into a sitting position. "Hey. It's alright. I wouldn't have thought something would be able to get through that hole either," she said. "It's already in the past. Can't do much about it now but wait until we come across the thing that got in here... then you can beat it to a bloody pulp," Emma said, smiling at the last part as she stared up at Herald, attempting to cheer him up. ☾

Never Again...Herald kept his frown for a few moments before he looked at Emma. His expression softened slightly. "I will. You can count on that," he told her calmly. He knelt down next to her and looked at her a moment before putting his hand on her head. "What did you think about the future" He asked curiously. "Our future?"Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma continued to smile up at Herald as it seemed her attempt to cheer him up worked. Even if just a little bit. Her ears twitched slightly as Herald put his hand on her head and asked about what she thought about the future. "It was depressing," she said with a deadpan expression as she stared up at him. She crossed her arms then as she thought about it a bit more. "There were certain parts that were fine... like I was glad that Chris and Sarah turned out well and that my future self did a good job with them and they didn't turn into del... but the whole fact that that future was like a dystopia wasn't too nice," she said, her brows furrowing slightly as she thought about it some more. ☾

Never Again...Herald took his hand of Emma's head and sat down next to her. "There were certainly downsides..." he admitted. "But those are things we can change. We will change. We just need to find Atlas before he becomes stronger." He looked down at Emma. "And...should we have Sarah and Matt...we'll raise them together."Will I be bound in chains

☽ Emma continued to smile up at Herald "Both of them were overall pretty great in my opinion. Sarah seems a lot like you but with my upbeat attitude which is pretty interesting. I also like how confident she seemed. I can never be like that. She does seem a bit headstrong though... it looked like my future self was a little annoyed with her when we first got there. Chris seems really nice too. He doesn't really seem to take after anyone and has his own unique personality which is neat. I think he could make a really good leader. The only issue is he seems to lack a lot of confidence in himself though," Emma said glancing at the flowers. "He seemed really upset that he couldn't make you proud. He even said that he thought the future you died because he was disappointed in Chris... I don't want him to think like that here though." ☾

Never Again...Herald nodded at Emma's assessment of Sarah. "She was a strong little girl," he agreed. "And I can see why she would be a handful." He fell silent for a moment when Emma spoke of Chris. "It wasn't that he was a disappointment. It was that I knew he was capable of so much more. My son. He had no need to be afraid of anything. But he was and I'm not sure why." He leaned back against the tree and then reached over, easily lifting up Emma and placing her in his lap. "He would make a great leader if he was willing to put himself forward." ☽ Emma let Herald pick her up and put her on his lap. She leaned back against him and looked up at Herald as he spoke. "Um... I'm not exactly sure why he was so unsure either," she replied. Part of her had a possible clue though. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Herald wasn't around when Chris was growing up. A quick wind blew through the area, causing Emma to shiver slightly as she thought about how they could change what happened in the future. ☾

Never Again...Herald nodded slowly as he seemed to be thinking. What was it exactly? He couldn't figure it out. The boy had no reason to be timid as far as he could tell. When Emma shivered, Herald looked down at her. "Are you okay?" He asked, wondering if something was bothering her. Will I be bound in chains
