ah makes sense.
I saddly didn't fully listen about NC's history in elementary because it was the same thing taught over and over, plus it was always the gerneral basic stuff. I remember getting into the history in 8th grade but that was quite a while back. Hetalia is just helping me remember the stuff I already learned in U.S. History from my senior year when I actually LEARNED history instead of knowing the answers just to past the state tests. I've been to quite a bit of museums but I don't recall much of the fine details of NC's relationships with other states. So I really do enjoy your historical rants. Thanks.
I guess because of the mountain area in the west I don't think of TN much. Heck when I really think about it, the only time a North Carolinain talks about South Carolina outside of history is to spend a vaccation in Murtle Beach. I see license plates on cars in enter NC from Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, New York, New Jersy, Ohio, Iowa, and maybe TN but rarely SC.

Don't worry about it, hun.
I actually don't know too much about Georgia's history. I do, however, know that one of my ancestors signed the agreement that Georgia would leave the Union before the Civil War. I also had quite a few lawyers, judges, and priests on that side of the family along with someone who helped found the city of Snellville, where I grew up for the first 7 years of my life. 3nodding (Funny enough, most of my family from tat side all live or lived in South Georgia only an hour or so drive from the Florida border.)

*punts Civil War Take Home Test* I'll never forgive you for being in essay format!! My tendency to rant has betrayed me! gonk
... Although I did find out in my essay research that apparently "he-who-shall-not-be-named-around-Georgia" had a respect/fear of Tennessee... Especially the Eastern Division. He was even quoted as saying "...East Tennessee is my horror. That any military man should send a force into East Tennessee puzzles me." (Ironically, the eastern division was where the strongest Union support was... He must have felt lucky to find people there were friendly to the Union Army.)
I know a lot about Georgia's colonial and early militia history (which can be full of lols) but not too much about the over all state history after the War of 1812... I should probably look into that at some point. The only reason I know so much about TN is my research on Andrew Jackson/his influences and the fact that it's my home state so it's easier to find good research materials on him.

Um... I don't think so... Doesn't the peninsula rely on you for money? Can't be a state if you can't support yourself.
