Shadow's eyes widened when Rei called his eyes beautiful. No one has even said anything like that to him, except for one. At that moment, Rei's kind sweet smile reminded him of someone very special to him from that past. He quickly takes a deep breathe and holds together before Rei transformed. "Will you stop that?", he asked in a bother tone seeing that he isnt used to affection. He wasnt surprised by her appearance. From the way he looked at her, it was almost as if he was looking at normal young girl. Simply an expression that tells he's seen lot in his travels. "Well, at least you know what you are and you have a suitible color. But right now we have a bigger problem", he said looking outside with the sky all red. Shadow slowly steps out side looking at the bloody clouds with his midnight dark hair fluttering in the wind. "Rei, whats this sword or this jewel we are looking for and what are we suppose to do with it",", he asked her seeing that he was more focused on the mission right now.

Shadow faces Rei and tells her straight out.,"I need you to stay here and watch these two. We can risk their lives since they are defenseless and we cant have that weighting this mission down. So I'll go alone, head to the hide out and find the others". He looks toward the sky seeing if there was an energy source causing it, leaving them wide open for an assault. He reaches into his pocket and hands Rei some sort of elven whistle. How he got a hold of such a rare artifact is a mystery. "Listen, I'm already getting sick of this stupid little war game Tryton is playing. And I want to end this mission quickly, go back to class and get on with my life.", he says, "Just blow into this if anything happens and ill come back as fast as I can.", he explains to her. For a child like Shadow to go alone, he doesn't seem to be afraid at all.

Shadow moaned slightly bothered when Rei ruffled his hair as a sweat drop past his head. He sighs to himself,"Ugh, what did I get myself into this time?" He sees a large boulder and quickly pushes it in front of the cave to seal it off, but left a crack for air and for someone to easily slip in and out. He peeks his head in and whispers to Rei,"If you can, try to contact the others to this location. And try not to make a sound." At that moment, Shadow disappears amd heads off toward the hideout following the source of were that power is coming from.

Cielle cartwheeled out of the way of the beam yet the force from the beam sent her flying further than she wanted to. "Gah, all this for a stupid sword. What the hell does it even do anyway?" She stood up before she realised that the sword was gone. She sighed and lept up into the air.locating it before she landed on the edge of the rock, trying hard not to fall off. Once she regained her posture, She turned around, using the rock as a spring, she pushed off and dove at Ten, they collided and crashed to the ground. "Let her go!" She yelled trying to stab Ten's wrist with a sharp dagger-like feather.

Shadow sees a beam of light aimed at him while he was running among the tree tops of the dead forest. He easily evaded it and shirts over to the next part of the hides as the sprints toward the core of the as if he was flying. The wind flutters through his dark hair as he leaps high enough for the winds to pick him up and glide him at high speed straight into the brawl while pulling up his hood to remian unseen.

Shadow turns his head as the feather passed him. "You've gotta be kidding me", he thought to himself as he landed right in the middle. It was the first time he appeared in the open with his face revealed. He stares directly at Ten with his crimson eyes and asked in a serious quite tone,"So, what do you plan on doing with a dangerous power like this?"

 
Melodie was rather shocked by Ten's movement but waited it out. When Cielle had pierced his wrist, Melodie used the slight slackening of his hold to her advantage. Hastily flying out of there, she began to morph spikes around herself, making it dangerous to catch her. This wasn't her best defense, but it was definitely effective during most of her trainings. She flew back to the beam and resumed to her previous actions. Absorbing it was rather easy, so it was a matter of time till they got the sword.

Xavier had finally found them. He remained fused within the darkness as he sent discreet tendrils of shadows to the sword. They became tangible as they rose from the ground and wrapped themselves around the sword, slowly bringing it into the realm of darkness. If they could fully cover it, the sword would become intangible. The shadows were almost to the handle of the sword, making it sink into its own shadow.
