Mala was clearly puzzled by this. "Aren't you worried? Earlier I threw a fireball at you in frustration. I'm not going to hurt you now, but, I would think that one would hold a grudge over me for something like that."

"I love you," Angel repeated firmly, pressing her face into Mala's arm. "I'mma snuggle with you lots and lots."

Mala sighed softly and patted the top of Angel's head. Mala had no clue how to interperate Angel's words - especially since she didn't know if Angel meant love in a friendly or romantic way. The best she could do was offer that motherly sister smile. This was mostly due to the fact that Mala felt it awkward to ask Angel to elaborate.

The Recorder pulled out his sonic screwdriver. "There's a squirrel in here. Be free, little insignificant creature." The squirrel scurried out of the TARDIS. "Do you have another suit to go with this hat? I like this hat, it's a good hat."

Angel yawned. "You should probably tie me up soon. I'm getting sleepy... the baby'll grow faster when I'm asleep, and then she'll stop growing and she'll come out when I wake up. I'll need you to chain me so my legs are arched, like so..." She demonstrated, lifting her knees to bring her feet to rest against her bum. "And my arms will need to be stretched out. Get the baby away from me as soon as she comes out, because as soon as she's not connected to me, she's in danger. And I'll need someone to keep the animals coming. I'll need a lot of..." She yawned. "A lot of blood."
The Librarian smiled. "Well. I do believe there is likely to be something in the wardrobe. Up the stairs, around the pole three times, to the left of the rubbish bin, three paces and then the second hall on the right. Third door on the left." He didn't have to go around the pole three times, she just wanted to see if he did.

Five minutes later, the Recorder stepped from the wardrobe in a pinstriped robe. "Too much?" he asked, seeing the Librarian's expression. "That's not important. What is important is why you have a pinstripe robe."

"Alright, can you please not knock up the vampire again? This is not an experience I want to go through more than once." Van said, hunched over as he carried a large, unconscious bear on his back.
"You don't need to tell me twice...I just hope this is enough. Trying to bring back wild animals without killing them is a lot harder than I thought it would be." Riley said, a wounded deer draped over each shoulder as they walked back.

She giggled. "Oh, why not? I like playing dress-up sometimes, it's not a cardinal sin. And if I have the occasional male suitor in here..." She gave a little shrug.

"I miss my TARDIS. I had a nice jacket in there. Should be covered in moth balls now. You said there was a time lock? Are there exceptions for really sweet leather?" he asked, going back into the wardrobe.

"No." She sighed. "No exceptions. You should know how they work."

"All of it's time locked," she said coldly. "And if what I heard was true... it's for the best."

Mala nodded, doing as Angel instructed. "Don't worry, Angel. Nothing's going to happen to her while I'm here. I promise." Mala assured her as she chained Angel up where necessary. "If I might ask, why would you go into a frenzied rage at the sight of your newborn baby? Is it a sort of survival mechanism or something?"

"So, what do we do now?" Rincewind asked Val.
"What did you hear, at any rate?" The Recorder asked, from within the wardrobe.
