Gen followed Teagan, blushing as they passed Bobby's room. She had a bit of a crush, she wouldn't admit it though. She hurried past and dumped her bag on the other bed of the room. "Looks great. Hey, we have a perfect view of the ocean." she said, looking out the window. The sun was beginning to set, meaning it'd be time for a real meal pretty soon. She wondered what they wuold have...


Regina headed to the kitchen next. Sifting through the sparse food choices, she noticed there was just sandwich materials and a few random fruits and sodas. "For christ's sake... some food would be good..."

Porter walked in and looked over her shoulder. Causing Regina to blush as he surveyed was lacking in the cabinets; food. "Agreed. Let's go hit the town and get some for these kids."

"Sure, you buying?" she said looking at him with a grin.

"Of course. You and Penny weren't given the money for this trip, I know that much." he answered, smirking. "Let's go."

*an hour later*

They appeared out of the shadows with a shopping cart full of food. As they rolled it into the kitchen, they caught a glare from Penny then a smile of relief. "Oh you brought food..."

"Yup. Sorry for not leaving a note." Regina said with a sheepish grin. "But... uhhh... we'll be cooking it." she said. "Hey, I actually got it all so I could cook. I'm really in the mood so, either move it or lose it." she joked, getting out the chicken first.

Hamburger helpers, buns, rolls, and tons of other goodies were put away along with a few choice bottles of liquor. "Only when we're settled for the night." Porter mentioned. "I'd rather not have drunk mutants out on the streets... got me?"

The shopping had moved quickly and time had flied. Noko looked out the window of the plane the members of the brotherhood was on. Shopping had been interesting. She now had several things for the beach. The most interesting thing was getting the bhood to behave long enough to get them ON a plane. That had been a task in itself. Now they were on and about to land. Soon they would be relaxing and having fun on the sand. This was going to be so worth it.

After witnessing the act of the girls seeing a boy changing, he could be sure it was Bobby in that room, behind the closed door. Only because he felt what Gen was feeling for him when he focused on her. So he was sure.

Yep. Bobby. Definately.

He finished his turkey sandwich and stepped in front of the door to the bedroom. A bit nervous and somewhat shy, he hesitated and waited a moment or two to calm down. Taking a deep breath, Blair knocked on the door of Bobby Drake, the boy he hopped he could room with.

OOC: Our timeline is screwed up. Let's just say we got to the beach in the afternoon rather than the morning and regina/porter have gotten back with the stash of food. That puts us all basically in the same time frame.

(( Please put all OOC posts in the OOC thread. And yes, the BOM are on a seperate plane coming to the beach, I believe. ))

Jacen found himself standing in the room Porter was staying in. He had no luck finding another room, and figured why not? Gently, he knocked on the door and saw it open up. Seeing it was open, he walked in and saw the empty bed on the far side of the room under the window. "Perfect," Jacen said as he tossed his bag on the bed. As he unpacked, he noticed he had at least a few packs of cigs left.....he had been away too damn long from the House. As he ripped the pack open and opened the window, he noticed Penance getting into the hot tub. Wow...., he thought as he put the cig up to his mouth and lit it.

"At least you've the window open," a voice behind him said. "And it is a remarkable view."

"Uhh....yea......," Jacen said as he looked a bit embarrassed and sat on his bed.

"Jonothon Porter," the man said introducing himself, "And you must be the Jacen we all risked our necks for.....well.....that Evelyn risked her neck for."

"The one and the same....," Jacen said between drags of his smoke, "Or so I've been told." Jacen sat there for a second, fumbling with the lit smoke between his fingers before speaking again. "Why? Is that just some sort of thing to be like astounded by?"

"I'd say so...he endangered a few of our students on the trip to even FIND you, when you'd been hunting us all along," Porter said kind of harshly, "The battle....that was lucky it didn't go any worse than it did." Porter looked out the window at Penance as sat back and relaxed in the hot tub. Glancing down, he saw Jacen leaned back on his bed, absently flicking the ashes out of the open window. "And considering that you aren't even registered as a student or even an inhabitant at the Institute...."

"I'm an old....friend.....of Charles," Jacen interjected.

"That not-with-standing, you are the enemy," Porter said again harshly.

"WAS the enemy," Jacen said.

"Either way....."

"Just spit it out, Porter," Jacen said as he tossed his dead cig out the window.

"The writings on the wall," Porter said as he left the room. It appeared his new 'friend' was busy with other things, apparently only stopping to see if Jacen was there.

"Meh," Jacen said as he closed the window mostly, and caught himself looking at Penance again. With a frustrated look on his face, Jacen shook his head and lay down for a nap. The flight took alot out of him, and he needed rest.

"What the hell was that?" Porter said rubbing his chin outside of the room. There was no reason to talk like that and that wasn't even how he really felt. He rubbed his head, "Maybe I'm not used to these powers like I thought."

Random emotions from people he made contact with coming to the room had registered into his head, I can't be the one without control around these guys. I'm the teacher.

Porter knocked on the door and saw Jacen laying down, "Hey, Jacen."

"What?" Jacen looked over and sounded somewhat annoyed.

Porter walked back in and shut the door leaning against it, "I have the least room around here to talk to you like I just did. We've all got a past and we've all done things... I didn't offer up my room because I don't like you or don't trust you around these kids. I don't trust the people you ran with and I don't trust that just maybe somebody might come crashing down on our peice of yard. These guys are my responsibility."

"We done?"

"Yea, I guess I'm apologizing, man," Porter opened the door back up and stepped out, "Dinner will be on the table in an hour if you want some."

Oh hell... I have to watch this... I cannot allow Regina to see me exploding because I've sucked up fleeting feelings from people. I thought I was okay... s**t...

Porter walked down the back stairwell into the kitchen where Regina was cooking. He pulled a beer out of the fridge and sat down in a chair and leaned up against the wall. As not to give away any of his own feelings, he just watched her do what she was doing. That was good enough.

"Jamie, my friend," Penny looked up as he got in, "I'm glad I have some company."

"You think Xavier will move the Institute to the beach?" Jamie asked.

"I was just thinking the same thing," Penny sat up and looked acrossed at her teammate, "Hey, what do you think about being an X-Man?"

"As opposed to?" Jamie wrinkled his brown in a bit of confusion with the question.

"As opposed to being just the Green team. We got the charge this morning... Green team is officially an X-Men team. We're no longer a 'student training team.'" She looked up towards the front window and thought she had seen Jacen there but he was gone as quickly as that thought.

"Do we get a cool name and new uniforms?" Jamie asked.

"I'll work on it," She smiled and wondered what Jacen was up to. God I feel needy... let the guy be for a second...

"As opposed to being just the Green team. We got the charge this morning... Green team is officially an X-Men team. We're no longer a 'student training team.'"

"Do we get a cool name and new uniforms?" Jamie said, meaning it mostly as a joke.

"I'll work on it," Penny said.

Jamie bit his lower lip for a second, thinking about it. "Yeah, I think it's great that we're finally an X-Men team. That way we don't have to sneak off to go help people. There are few things I hate more than being helpless, and I gotta say, it leaves you feeling pretty helpless when someone says we should just sit still while the "real X-Men" handle it.

Jamie glanced over at Morgan. "Hey. I haven't seen much of you since we were at that military base."
