Serenity walked out of the apartment and down the stairs to the main floor. Bruce followed her after he closed and locked the door behind him. She walked out into the streets and headed to the Demonic Ties. *exit*

"It really isn't much," Lucifer replied. His apartment was quite plain, with a huge bookshelf in the corner, a laptop on a desk with a mountain of papers to the side. The shades were draped over the windows, with their almost solid black color keeping light from entering during the daytime hours. "Feel free to eat something," Lucifer replied, nodding to the kitchen. "I tend to cook meals in my spare time and I usually give them to the people in the building or a homeless shelter of some kind. I hate to waste anything.."

Cynder glanced around. "Not much... Meh. This is much better than my place. I live in a rundown old building that no one really used." she laughed. "Oh, I'm fine, but thanks for asking." she replied, then frowned inwardly. She was wondering why she was being polite to the Vampire, she usually would be frank and say no. "Heh, don't take offense, but I wouldn't really expect you to be handing out cooked meals to people. I imagine you walking around and sucking their life's blood away." she smirked cynically, patting Lucifer on the shoulder.

"Well, I need to feed the food, don't I?" Lucifer replied, "otherwise they won't be any good." Lucifer sat down on his black leather couch, taking a deep sigh and glad to be relaxed. "This city always tires me out, no matter if the day is spent walking or doing nothing..."

Cynder shrugged, and leaned against a wall, facing Lucifer. "Yes, I suppose so. You do make a good argument, Vampire - I'll give you that." she smirked coolly, regarding Lucifer with an odd gaze. "Cities sometimes do that. It's just everything going on around us, it makes us tired even if we didn't do anything." she added to his next statement, crossing her arms and also crossing her left ankle over her right one.

"I guess you are right as it does make sense," Lucifer replied. He walked over towards a small case on the wall, opening it up and placing his pistols and his knife inside. "I never use these around here, there isn't anyone who would attack me in this place anyway..." Lucifer commented. He took the tie off of his hair, allowing it to flow freely.

Cynder's smirk faded, and her gaze turned to the ground. "Yeah." she replied absently. She blinked a couple times, and sighed. She lifted her head up and glanced over at him, noticing he took his hair out. Turning away again, she looked around quietly.

"You need to relax some," Lucifer said aloud for her to hear, "You have no need to worry around me. I'm not like the other vampire skum that you see around these parts." Lucifer sat down again, throwing his coat on the back of the couch and turning on the television, viewing the news and weather with much interest.

Cynder shook her head. "I know that. I've not been able to relax, Lucifer." she laughed. "It's hard." she heard him flick on the television, and pushed off the wall. She walked around the T.V, and regarded the channel coolly. "Mind if I sit down, Lucifer?" she turned to him and inquired politely. After all, it was his apartment.

He smirked. "That's what I've been trying to get you to do all this time," Lucifer replied, "so feel free to sit anywhere you like." The news was talking about a murder victim that had washed up into the harbor just recently. "Seems like someone almost got away clean," Lucifer commented.

Cynder stuck her tongue out at Lucifer and sat down on the couch as well, near the other end. She didn't know why, but she wanted to stay partially away from Lucifer - it wasn't that she didn't trust him, it was something odd that she didn't understand. She listened to the news reporter talking about the murder, and shook her head. "Some people don't do a good job of hiding the victims. Yes, it would seem that way. Though, they may not be able to find who the killer was. The water would have washed away any proof." Cynder replied, leaning back against the couch.

"Humans are careless in the field of murder, they're bound to find something that'll trace it back to the murderer." Lucifer replied. His eyes darted back and forth from the TV to Cynder. He did find it odd that she kept her distance, but then again, he was a vampire and she had a right to be somewhat afraid of him. "So tell me, what do you do in your daily life. You are immortal afterall so you have plenty of time for many things, but what do you do with that immortality?" Lucifer asked her. He never missed the chance to learn something or about someone.

Cynder noticed Lucifer's changing focus, and glanced over at him. "Is something wrong?" she inquired, cocking her head. When he spoke up and asked her a question, she shrugged. Cynder was slightly confused as to why he was asking, but she didn't mind. "Oh, this and that. I usually like to just watch the mortals, then kill some, watch them not be able to trace back to the murderer, sometimes fight, and taunt other Immortals. That's what I do." she laughed, crossing her right leg over her left one. "It's amusing enough, I'd say. But, I guess there's more to life as an Immortal than just taunting, but I don't know what. Some people say it has something to do with... 'Emotions' or whatever. I just ignore them." Cynder smirked.

"Well, why don't you try to act on your emotions?" Lucifer asked, "having emotion isn't a bad thing at all." Lucifer stood up and glanced out the window at the frenzied traffic. "So why bottle it up?" Lucifer asked.

(( My sister's cat just licked the side of my face randomly. xD ))
Cynder looked at the ground. "Emotions have never gotten me anywhere good, it seems. Anger has gotten me into battle. Happiness has gotten me sent away. Sadness has never done anything but make me feel bad. Those are the only emotions I know, and they sure haven't helped." she leaned forward and uncrossed her legs, resting her arms on them. She remained silent, as if quietly refusing to answer his last question.
