I can see where Laertes is coming from. When I run with my kids I have to keep copies of their characters at all times. Not because they cheat, but because my kids would lose their heads if they weren't attached. I can understand wanting to keep a copy to keep players from cheating. But keeping the only copies yourself? What's their guarantee that YOU aren't going to cheat? Your word? How is that any different from other players giving you their word that they won't cheat? Okay, so you have eight years experience to base your judgement on. Big deal. I've got double yours, and my experience screams that you have your head stuck up your rectum and refuse to see reason. Probably because you think you can do no wrong. And before you get melodramatic and try to make yourself out as the injured party, YOU stalked WRASYNTH to this guild and not the other way around. He asked our opinions on whether or not he came off as unreasonable. YOU made it personal. Not Wrasynth. So. Since you decided to make this dirty I'm going to twist the dagger, as it were. I'm calling BS. If you REALLY had eight years experience running games then some time during that period the concept that you have to work with the players would have made it into your skull. You were TOLD SPECIFICALLY that the method you wanted wasn't working the way it was supposed to. It is your fragging job as both the roleplays creator and the person running it to come up with some kind of compromise with the players when issues arise. But you refused. And not just refused. You accused the person offering the compromise of being unreasonable without stating any reason for your declining other than 'because I said so.' Are you dense, or just stupid?
Now that that's over, I'm going to throw in my two cents on Wrasynth's original question. Before this jackass came here I would have said you were reasonable. Now I have to say no. You should have found some way to ram a couple kilotonnes of napalm up his derrier.

I fail to see how it was your fault. The guy has some fairly major issues he needs to deal with, but I sincerely doubt that an absence of self control is one of them. He isn't a lemming, and I doubt you were holding a gun to the back of his head and forcing him to post here. It's his own fault. Regardless of whether he followed Wrasynth's account or your quote.

Idunno, I'm more annoyed he decided to bring his drama here to my friends. Despite my raging ******** it's mostly me being obnoxiously over protective. ******** is also my word of the day for some reason. Still he just kind of strikes me as being mildly retarded. I was kind of hoping that there was semblance of intelligence as I really really really want to play shadow run. @_@
I'm also impressed he thinks 8 years means anything.

Feral Knight When I run with my kids I have to keep copies of their characters at all times. Not because they cheat, but because my kids would lose their heads if they weren't attached. That makes sense as I know I'm guilty of loosing something in plain sight, so the DM we play with holds our sheets for that reason. Pet Peeve: People that have characters that make no sense. What I mean is just characters that are young, but have skills they shouldn't. -shrug- That and Japanese names on characters that aren't Japanese or modern names in settings that are medieval or Victorian.

All four of Feral's kids have lost at least three characters. The sad part is that is that during character creation he always tells them to keep an extra copy somewhere. They never listen. My pet peeve is when people use a name from a foreign language and don't even bother trying to find out what the word means before they use it. One of Feral's sons shall forever be known as the Ninth Beautiful Daisy because of this.

Nice, I always check, and almost try to keep the meaning of the name close to a trait of the character. -shrug- Call it habit. Though that's always bad when you end up with a name like that. xD

Translations from two different languages. He was just unlucky enough to pick a Japanese name that was close to a word in a different language. We wouldn't even hold that against him if it didn't fit in so well with the Japanese-English translation.

You might not, but I sure do remind him of it constantly. I suppose there's a lesson to be said for research before you use something. I wonder if Daisy will track our posts to find this. He'll be so pissed.

Great Goddess Gardinia My pet peeve: When people consistently get a simple word wrong. And then proceed to use it in every ******** post. Please see MMOs and the word: Rouge. Used in a sentence: The rouge should sap the circle, then keep him stunlocked during combat.

As much as that screw up aggravates me I always get a laugh out of people trying to tell the party's red to 'sap the circle, then keep him stunlocked during combat.'
