Raquel smiled at Lorey's excitement, looking to Richard who just watched Lorey with an endearing look. But she looked back to Lorey when she inquired about their week. "Oh... A lot." She said simply, her eyes troubled slightly though a soft smile on her face. "Everything's fine now. You all don't have to worry..." She promised, not sure if she should bring up their 'guests'.
"...We had a sort visit from or Amaranthine friends..." She said after a long pause, Richards muscles tensing up. He knew that that was probably the main reason for her emotionally distressed looking state. Though the two refreshed lovers wouldn't know exactly to what extent their enemies left the other two damaged until Damian awoke.

"Raquel... where's Damian?" Lorey's heart began to pump faster as a terrible cold feeling spread to her limbs. She loathed that adrenalin feeling leaking into her, but Raquel's worried face wasn't making anything better.
"What happened while we were gone?" she asked while the silence was becoming a bit too much.

Raquel frowned, looking down. "He's in the bedroom sleeping. He's fine now..." She swallowed a little, not really wanting to relive this but knew they would worry if they didn't.
"They were hear waiting for us when we got home after you two had left. Damian had taken me out for the evening, so to say we were surprised is an understatement." She shook her head. "They... were civil at first, but... when one...Andrew, tried to hurt me, Damian requested an exchange." She kept it all very vague, not really wanting the others to know about her inner conflict.
"So instead of hurting me, they hurt Damian..." She reached up, touching the almost completely faded bruise on her face. "But, he's ok now... we're ok now..." She added quietly, so Lorey wouldn't be too upset.

"Raquel..." Lorey took a step forward. She honestly wasn't so convinced that everything was alright, since she remembered nearly being drained of life from a touch. "Are you sure everything's alright? We're home now, and we can help in any way that you need us to." Even if Richard was leaving in a day or so, Lorey knew that he was safe. If something ever happened to Richard, she was sure she'd look as haggard as Raquel.

Raquel looked up at her, giving her a genuinely thankful smile. "Everything is fine. I swear. Damian just needs rest. That's all... He's been through a lot and is doing much, much better." She even chuckled tiredly at that. It was amazing how determine he had been this past week and how much progress he had made. Now all that was left was for him to just sleep it off, heal, then eventually, get to moving around again.
Though Richard wasn't at ease after that. yes he was glad Damian was doing ok, though now he wasn't sure he could leave. The food processor beeped, and Richard pulled out Lorey's meal, setting it on the counter for her, leaving his own food. "Raquel... can we talk?" He asked softly, reaching to put a hand d on her back and pull her away from Lorey a moment so he could speak with her privately. That and try to let Lorey have a moment to eat.
"I was supposed to ship back out tomorrow for awhile, to go back to Druis to keep things running and fix things up. But I can stay until Damian's better or..." Even if Damian was completely healthy, it was evident even he couldn't stand much against the Amaranthine's. Richard wasn't sure what he could do himself, but would feel better there than jstu leaving the two women and a sick Damian alone.
Raquel merely gave him a tired smile, shaking her head. "No, no... You go on with everything as planned. I think I've stumbled across a way to make sure they dont come back, or if they do, at least be able to protect myself, as well as everyone." By the look in her eye, Richard knew she had indeed grown quite a bit in many ways over the short time they were gone. A new persona almost. But she seemed to be confident in whatever it was she had planned, so Richard furrowed his brow.
"Alright... but if there's any sort of trouble, I'm coming back and staying until we can all leave the planet together alright? That and I'll be calling in to check on Lorey and you all every night, so if I don't hear from you at anytime I call, I'm rushing back as well." Raquel laughed at that, patting his shoulder. "Alright deal." She sighed, going over to grab a muffin, jsut realizing they hadn't tried one since they made them. Though they looked rather old. not totally gone bad just yet, but close. She took a bite, not entirely satisfied with it but it wasn't too bad.

Lorey was a bit miffed that there was something that Richard couldn't say in front of her. Maybe it wasn't like that, she thought, as she ate her chicken with all the happiness she could feel for good food. This was one thing she would miss when they'd live in Druis: an automatic meal unit. But, she would have to learn how to cook sometime, and this was a better time than any. It would even give her something to do while Richard was away working on the house and legal matters on Druis.
As much as she loved her flower shoppe, Lorey was ready to find a different job in Druis, along with a completely different life. It would be beautiful...

Richard sighed but nodded, walking over to get his own meal. He was still a bit worried though his appetite wasn't affected. He loved a good old fashioned burger sometimes.
Raquel finished her muffin, saying she'd be right back, heading back to check on Damian. She came over to him, kissing his face and neck gently. "Richard and Lorey are home..." She whispered, not sure if he were awake or cared. "Are you hungry? Can I bring you something for dinner love?" She asked, wanting to treat him to some kind of dinner in bed or somehting.

Damian's eyes opened just a crack before closing once more. "I'd love something light... How was their trip?" he mumbled. He had been having a lovely dream full of glittering ball rooms and beautiful women, though he had to admit waking to Raquel was a bit of a dream in itself.

She smiled, stroking his hair slightly. "They say it was wonderful. Lorey was so bubbly and giddy. She's just brimming with happiness..." She smiled, shaking her head. "As for food, I'll go fix you something ok? I'll be back..." She leaned down, kissing his lips gently, lingering only for a minute.

"Alright," he said. It would take a little bit for him to fully wake up, as it always had been, but the drugs weren't helping his senses now. If he strained enough, he thought he could hear Lorey laughing in the kitchen. The sound of her being happy was rewarding, especially since he knew her well-being was taken care of by Richard.
In the kitchen, Lorey offered Richard a bit of her potato if she could have a bit of his burger. "Fair trade, don't you think?"

Raquel smiled, still a bit worried about him but said nothing more, heading back to the kitchen.
Richard nodded and laughed, letting her have a bite as he took a taste of her potato, nodding and smiling. "A very fair trade I must say." He smiled, taking a sip of soda he had grabbed as well.
Raquel rejoined them, smiling lightly, not wanting to interrupt the two any farther, just turning to see what she could order Damian. She decided to stick with a soup, not sure how well his stomach would hold up against somehting too solid. She made sure it looked delicious though, and very healthy, finally deciding on a simple vegetable soup with just a little bit of meat since she figured Damian would like something with consistency. It'd also let her see if he was ready for something thicker next time. As she waited for it to be ready, she got him a glass of orange juice, gong to put in some of the powdered medications the doctor had recommended to help him heal faster. it was supposed to be taken once a day with meals and drink. She sighed lightly, lost in her own thoughts as she mixed it in.

"How is he, Raquel?" Lorey asked once she was back in the kitchen. Suddenly soup sounded very good to her, and she ordered up a cup for herself once Raquel was done with the unit. "Will he be able to get out of bed and walk by now, or is he still too battered?"

Raquel furrowed her brow, rubbing her eyes tiredly. "I..I honestly don't think so..." She sighed, shaking her head. "He's got to let his leg and shoulder mend...then, maybe then, he can try walking again..." She kept her back turned from her, so Lorey wouldn't see her watery eyes. She knew Damian was ok, it was jstu hard to think of what he must be going through.
She grabbed a tray from a cabinet, setting Damian up a cute little dinner presentation. She pushed all her emotion down, turning to give them both a smile. "Though he's doing pretty well in general. I'm sure he'll be running around in no time." She gave them a cute little shrug before gathering all she had prepared and saying she'd be right back.
She opened Damian's door with her foot, smiling brightly still as she lifted the tray and made a grand entrance. "I'll have you know, I slaved over a hot meal unit just for you." She scrunched u her nose, and set the tray down on he bedside table, turning on the lamp near hm on low, and reaching to see if he needed help sitting up.

Lorey looked to Richard as Raquel went out of the kitchen with her tray full of food. "I can't imagine what they're both going through. And we haven't even seen Damian yet, so we don't know how bad it really is... Poor thing."
Meanwhile, in the bedroom, Damian tried his best to sit up. Another wave of guilt swept over him as she set the beautiful tray by him. "Thank you... it looks wonderful. Everything I could possibly eat, all set up as well..." Damian motioned for her to come closer so he could kiss her as a thank-you, and because he missed her in his sleeping.

Richard furrowed his brow nodding. "I don't know... but somehow I think its good for them. For Damian to see for once how it feels to be taken care of out of love, and not just necessity...you know?" He smiled a little, trying to look on the bright side. "I'm starting to see how much Raquel really loves him. Like on a deeper level..." He sighed, taking another bite of his burger.
meanwhile, Raquel helped prop Damian up with pillows, catching his calling lips in a sweet kiss as she smiled. It seemed she longed fora kiss from him every time she pulled away. It may have been a bit unhealthy but she didn't care. She was addicted to him band how he made her feel.
"It's no problem at all...here..." She set the tray on his lap in front of him, finding it had legs hat would make it easier for him to eat as well. She sat near him and spooned a little of the soup, blowing on it to cool it down. "It's very very hot...be careful ok?" She fed him one spoonful, not sure if he liked her feeding him, but just wanted him to try it. She set the spoon down back in the bowl, in case he wanted to do it on his own. "How's your shoulder love?" She asked gently, studying his face in the dim lamp light.
