Cayden choked, the words hurting. He had nothing to say, but sighed and tried. "Every day I wish I was someone else and had a new life. Quite frankly, I thought I was gonna die - and I was happy. But vampire life, I dunno...Just thought I could get a new chance at family." He said, then gasped. He said too much. He knew Kale would not approve, or maybe he would and surprise us all.

Kale chuckled, but didn't say anything for a bit. When all had quieted again, Kale spoke up. "Why, do you think, I'm taking you away from danger? While putting myself at more of a risk and punishment if caught?"

"Think on it, I won't be telling you the answer." Kale stated, smirking. He got up and climbed the tree to the top and sniffed the air. He then came back down to the branch. "They haven't caught our scent here yet. That's a good thing."

Bringing his legs up to rest his chin on it, he thought hard - but could come up with nothing, unless... "You care about me?" He asked, surprised.

Kale just shrugged, not answering. He sat back on the branch and tried to connect with Kaida again, just to feel her presense.

"What are you doing?" He asked, curious. He was getting more comfortable around him.

"Trying to get comfortable enough to sleep. Is that alright with you?" Kale snapped, angry from being disturbed from connecting more fully with Kaida. Though he wouldn't tell the truth to a kid like him.

Cayden nodded, excepting the lie. kale seemed mad anyway. He laid sideways, his head by Kale's legs. He curled up, hoping just to have comfort by Kale.

Talon stood up from the couch and sighed, going up the stairs.
Kale watched Kaida as he mentally held her in his arms, trying to comfort her.

Cayden looked up at Kale one last time before falling asleep, the sun making him glow/sparkle.
Kaida felt the mental comfort of Kale, so she laid still on their bed, as if in his arms to comfort him too.

Kale was able to rest easier with her in his arms like this, he nearly did fall asleep.

Kaida soon fell almost asleep. wondering if he could hear her thoughts still, she asked, "How do you feel about the boy?"

Taya walked to her room and layed down. Eventually she fell asleep and dreamed of a waterfall that turned bloody. She woke up with a scream, and looked around before pulling her knees to her chest and curling into a ball.

'He's an annoying little brat, keeps asking unnessary or unimportant questions.' Kale replied.
Talon heard the scream, and he went to check on her. He knocked on her door.
