As this is what happens when a half gallon of liquid shadow covers yours eyes. Of course this vision of nothing was preceeded by the feeling of that blackness slithering up the neck of his armor. At first it'd feel like he was wearing a mask of black good, yet soon this began more like a blindfold.

Unfortunately that was due to the amount of black substance that seeped into his nose, mouth, and even his ears in that moment.

Wrestling in the blindness he could try to remove his armor, and it would come off easily, but there wasnt a speck of the goop left on his armor. And in a few seconds he wouldnt be able to feel the air that should be going to his lungs as that thick black iccor clogged his esophagus.

It was then, that he'd hear the sparks. Sparks coming from his face...his throught, and inside his head. Sparks, as if electricity, or energy of some sort was traveling through each of the above.

He could try to cough up the sludge, but it'd move itself to stick. He could try to wipe it off his eyes, but the material would simply slide off his fingertips. He could try cutting out his eyes, but needless to say it would just poor into the bloody socket.

To make matters worse, if he got his armor off, it would be just in time to feel another few drops being flung at his bare skin.::

It was a good match. But I really need my map.

::He heard the voice from directly behind just as he let that final lightning flare go. The voice was followed by a quiet snap, and a long hum, niether of which he would likely hear due to the sparking sounds echoing in his head.

Maximos was not unecessarily rude, or cruel. He didnt want to torture the man with a slow strangling death. He would rather things be as quick as and painless as possible.

Damrius would likely be unable to dodge, as he had no idea what he was dodging or where he was dodging from. And in a fraction of a second it would be over. In all honesty Maximos would have prefered to fight them man, but he wasnt going to be able to cut through his invincible defense. And he lacked the patiences for long draw out specific attacks at key locations in armor weak points. He had gotten boot prints on his jacket, and he needed to clean up. And so popping the mans head like a grape would not suit his needs.

The snap however was the sound of the Nameless being drawn, and the snap was almost immediately followed by a second snap. As the blade was drawn, sliced, and sheathed in a blink of an eye. The intended cut being a vertical slash directly along the mans shoulders specifically to remove his head entirely in one clean motion. This sword had proved its sharpness in cutting through bone and metal alike with zero hesititation. This was the quick end to the fight. As Maximos noted with a kind...::

Goodbye.

::As he turned to walk away. Not expecting that a man blind to his location and deaf would be able to defend against the attack, seeing as how the voice from behind Damri, was Maximos casting his voice through Damri's shadow.::

With the defensice systems being taken out by various other Battle Mechs, The NERV Headquarters was a beehive of activity. Alarms were going off, and the Public Relations Comittee was busy getting the citizens to evacuate to their shelters and out of harm's way.

Major Misato Katsuragi handled the opperation as quickly and efficiently as she could. Angel Attacks NERV was prepared for, but surprise military strikes was another thing all together... How they'd slipped past security, she didn't know, but she had a job to do. Meanwhile, Gendo Ikari watched from above in his command chair, along with NERV's Vice Commander Fuyutsuki...



The Comittee won't like to hear about this Ikari... A surprise attack like this? This won't look good on your record. Without the defensive systems...

When an enemy leaves you with nothing but one alternative, that is the alternative you have to take. They leave us no choice...

Launch Evangelion Unit - 01!!

Major Katsuragi turned to face her superior in shock, but realizing they had no alternative, she spun around and gave the order.

Launch Eva Unit - 01!!



Shinji Ikari could only wait as his Eva shot up through the Launch tube and appeared on the surface.

Alright... Here we go... You can do this Shinji...

Shinji, we've got information on your target. From what we've discerned, its a bipedal mech of a lower design than the Evas, but don't underestimate it. It's showed itself to have gattling guns, and probably some missles as well. Your Eva SHOULD have superior speed and agility, but keep a lookout for surprises. We'll keep you updated as we get more information on the target. Your Eva's armor should be able to handle it's bullets, but don't get cocky! We've sent you a Pallet Rifle for now, more weapons will be on the way if we figure out anything more effective.

Misato Katsuragi spoke to Shinji and gave him the lowdown on what they'd gathered about the mech that was rampaging through the city.

Gotcha Misato...

Shinji grabbed the Pallet Rilfe and then made a high speed dash towards the target!



As he approached, he weaved side to side, and pulled the trigger on the assault rilfe, the bullets speeding towards the mech.

Shinji! We're reading a power fluctuation within the target we haven't seen before! Be on guard!!

Shinji took note of Misato's warning and as he neared where the target had ducked behind a building, he jumped sideways and rolled past it, his gun spewing bullets towards the target as he sped past, using his speed to, hopefully, get a drop on the target.

AAGH!!

The PPC's shot forward and singed Unit-01's right arm and shoulder pylon as it zipped by the other mech's hiding spot. Nothing serious had been damaged, but it really stung...

Misato, I need something else! The rifle isn't doing any good. It's armor just sucks up the bullets!



Alright alright! I'll be more careful...

Shinji quickly moved off away from the enemy mech and rounded a building to pick up his weapons...

Shinji quickly grabbed his weapons and then peekeed out around the corner of the building. Inside the Eva's cockpit, it was quiet, minus the soft humming of the running Unit and the slight beeping of the target reticule as Shinji searched for his target. He kept his shield up and ducked behind it as he moved around the city watching his back...

Misato... Any idea where this guy is? After I re-equipped, he left my sights and I can't find him.

The radio was quiet for a moment before Misato responded.

He's moved away from you, we've got him on the cameras around the city. He's nearing the industrial part of the city where he has the most cover. But if he isn't careful he might damage himself in the close quarters. Keep your guard up, and we'll stay with you... Good luck Shinji.

The radio switched off and Shinji made his way after the mech, following its footprints, and keeping his back to the buildings as much as possible, his front guarded by his shield, periodically looking through the small opening for a sign of his attacker...
