So it turned out that Kasiya was collecting badges as well. Not only that, but she had almost collected all the badges from the Kanto region. Indeed, there was much more than met the eye in her case. "I'm collecting badges as well...or at least I was. I'm not sure that its what I want to do anymore. I've been giving it some though, and I've been thinking about switching over to Contest. I don't have much of an eye for beauty, but I know I can win over the judges with a display of power. Power's beautiful in its own way, isn't it?" Though Crenu posed the question to Kasiya, he wasn't really expecting an answer. In fact, he wasn't sure he was really talking to her so much as he was just talking in the direction of another person. The thought of contest appeals through power was intriguing to say the least, but contest battles couldn't be the same as gym battles. There was no need for elegance in a gym battle, just a power through power struggle. It was hard to choose between them, but maybe he didn't have to. He could train his pokemon to do both, with his mind he was sure eh could teach them to do anything given enough time. Meanwhile, Crenu's pokemon neared the end of their feast as well. On his end of the counter, much of the food remained and would probably go to waste. Larvitar ate a moderate amount, but nothing to extravagant. Hitmonlee barely ate anything at all, this food didn't seem to please him very much or he was to concerned with training. Crenu didn't worry though, he was sure Hitmonlee ate just enough to keep that body working in top form. Ariados also didn't seem to particularly like the food, but ate her fare share. It was Poliwag that was surprising, he was eating a lot more than Crenu thought possible, or even wise. But his apatite seemed endless, something was up. Crenu recalled Poliwag before he could hurt himself and began to ponder this odd behavior. "I have had him for a while...maybe his body was telling him to gather nutrients for a big change...Oh well, guess I'll find out soon enough." He said to himself, only now turning his full attention to Kasiya again and addressing her directly. "Well Kasiya, I am now in your debt. How may I repay it?"

"I actually live a little bit up north from here, in Fallorbor," M.A. answered, glancing curiously at her accompanying blonde the way one might look at a foreigner from another country; after all, she had never knowingly met a person from another region. Well, it looked as though Train had two arms, two legs, two eyes, and so on and so forth... In fact, M.A. could not discover anything that gave her away to be a Kanto gal. Not that she had expected any different, of course, but this was just her idle mind slipping down that avalanche of inconclusive, irrelevant thoughts.
A few minutes of small talk later, the girls found themselves before the doors of the PokeCenter, which looked relatively busy from all the trainers bustling in and out. Go figure, M.A. thought, though the line to the counter bothered her very little. She wasn't exactly the impatient type. With the Nurse Joy and the Chanseys' efficiency, soon the brunette found herself in front of the polished albeit somewhat sandy counter. The Chansey there, while listening to M.A.'s request, swiped the counter clean with anti-bacterial wipes. With dizzying speed, the Chansey swiped Tora's Pokeball, and yet another came and gifted M.A. with a bandaid and some disinfectant.
The trainer was a bit dazzled by their speed but realized this was all in party-mode; some of these trainers had likely banged up their Pokemon a little too hard in the summer sun, or maybe some Pokemon had had heat-stroke, so it was likely someone in line definitely needed attention pretty quick. So, with a detached, contented sigh, she wafted through the crowd, apologizing sweetly when she bumped into people while likewise dreamy Smeargle floated above her, sending love notes to Ulani through his eyes now.
Eventually, she sat down against a wall away from all the traffic to wait for Train. She carelessly swabbed the disinfectant over her leg, tossed the wipe, and slapped a bandaid over the wound. All good. Now time to relax... Her lazy eyes drifted over the crowd, snagging on a black-haired fellow she was sure she knew. Ah, that was Kilik! And the red-haired guy and the black-haired girl were Keegan and Riza, the new people she'd met today in that awkward little circle. There was also another red-haired girl there, and judging from their positions, M.A. mused if she wasn't Kilik's girlfriend. Well, that wasn't surprising, the fellow wasn't repelling or anything.
Meanwhile, she turned to the Smeargle who had decided to sit next to her, his wings dripping away into a green little puddle. Oh dear, the nurse wouldn't like that later. Disregarding any concern, the Smeargle began to paint contentedly on a little clipboard he must have swiped from the counter, sneaking in an eye to stare at his subject before turning back. Ulani, rather turned off by the Pokemon as she was, couldn't help but try to peek at his work, though he refused to let anyone see -- obviously he deemed it improper to let his work be seen before it was completed.
------
What a cold greeting! Jun musters up a smile, and all he gets in return is a brusque nod and a "I'm-gonna-hustle-out-now-without-a-single-word-to-you" atmosphere? Hell to the no. I just got shut down! the young man thought indignantly, his left eye twitching for a moment. Fine, he wasn't all that hot anyways, Mr. Hotpants. Way low caliber. The figment of imagination that might have deluded Jun into thinking that Aidan was even a little sexy instantly committed suicide to repine for its wrongness. The guy probably was as dry as his hair was.
Turning back to Nurse Joy, however, he worked to extinguish the pout that was forming, though in the end his disgruntlement just made it impossible to not comment. "Not the social butterfly, is he," he muttered aloud, although knowing that Joy adored Aidan, tactfully kept out any resentment in his tone. A winning smile flashed over his features a second later as their conversation continued. "Well, darling, it's nothing a little cream couldn't solve! We'll have you looking absolutely smashing for all those new trainers. As for my life... You know, the usual, one snip-snip a day, you know," he laughed his twittering laugh good-humorously.
"I do hope that you and the kids are doing well. If you like, I could give you or the kids a little trim; it's been a while since I've... swung by," Jun said, resting his face in his smooth palm at the counter with the wide kid-smile he used to charm. A palm that was smooth as a spoon; he had had calluses once upon a time, but he had filed them away in these last two years of working towards becoming a beautician for both Pokemon and people.

Nurse Joy just smiled at Jun as he continued to complement him, she didn't get that a lot and she did try to enjoy it when she got it. "Well, no he isn't the biggest social butterfly, I don't think he quite knows that sometimes its nice to stop and talk to." She giggled slightly. As much as she adored Aidan she had to admit he wasn't the best in social situations, he did try though often leading to amusing results for her. Giggling slightly before glancing back at the kids who were running around, some doing chores and others just playing. "Haircuts? I am sure they would love that. There hair is getting pretty long and I am sure you could do a much better job then Aidan or myself could. If you do decide to give a few of them some cuts make sure to let Aidan know though, I am sure he would pay you for your efforts, he usually does." With that she waved him off into the back where the kids were and where so that she could get back to work.
Aidan meanwhile was heading back to the station so that he could meet up with Officer Jenny for there afternoon training. She might have also found something out, he knew that he didn't while he fought those Bidoof's. He sighed slightly wishing that he could help Officer Jenny and the town people at the same time. Shaking his head to get rid of those thoughts, there was no point in wishing for anything you had to do things, he opened the back gate to where the large yard was. There standing in the middle was a fairly happy looking Officer Jenny. Going over to her her raised an eyebrow at her curiously, she must have found something out.
Seeing Aidan Officer Jenny couldn't help but be happy that she could tell someone the great news she had found out tonight. "Aidan! Come here I have good news!" She waited patently for the younger man to come closer to her and stand by her side. "I just found out today that the Wild Boy's are moving out of Solacean town! They seem to think that its to small to hold them anymore. They will be out sometime tonight or tomorrow. I can't believe that they are leaving on there own. I mean I will call the other officer to give them a heads up about this group but still."
Aidan stood there for a moment letting the information sink in. Something seemed suspicious about this, he didn't know what but that might just be the fact that he didn't trust them. Still it was good news and it meant that the town would be free from its little gang problem. "Thats good news." He said finally because it was.

Robin watched Luffy 'ride' the newly evolved Metang and couldn't help the smile that spread over her face, Luffy never failed to cheer her up. Turning her attention back to Jaeshan and the question he asked she thought for a moment. "I did see M.A. It wasn't to long ago but it was at the beach." She frowned slightly before continuing. "I don't know if she is still there though... Everyone seems to be moving around so fast here." At least she knew where her lazy sleeping travel partner was.
Luffy was enjoying his little 'ride' on the Metang giving a few cheers as he rose up into the air and even doing a little dance on its head. This party was awesome! He got to ride around on all sorts of things here! Plus all that free food from earlier! This was turning out to be one of the best day ever! Letting out a loud laugh he continued to enjoy his ride on his new shiny surfboard.

"No problem." said Sasha, her voice muffled as she ground her face lovingly into her Azurill toy. It appears she had been a little too judgmental about her newest friend. Perhaps Kirsa wasn't as much of a bulwark against all things feminine as her exterior suggested. She proceeded to pick up one of the most girlie and cutesy toys with unpredictable glee. How 'bout that. That settled it. From now on, Sasha P. Jennings would forgo the incursion of social categorizations and get to actually know people before making decisions about their character. Whether she had the motivation or drive to actually keep that up would be a story for another time though. For now, browsing potential curios would be fun enough.
The round vendor grinned and happily accepted the payment. "Thank you for your purchase ladies!" he waved as the two departed the booth with their new polyester friends.
The pink haired girl continued to fawn over the adorable little blueberry of a Pokemon toy as they walked, pressing it close to her chest as she walked by and browsed the shops. If it had feelings the Azurill doll would have been knocked over with the feeling of jealous rage coming from the surrounding boys as it was happily housed in the girl's cleavage.
"I tell you Kirsa this is what life's all about!" Sasha proclaimed, taking in a deep breath of ocean air. "Battling, shopping and fun in the sun." She exhaled dramatically, wearing a large smile of accomplishment, as if to brag about her recent loud respiration. As she looked over to Kirsa holding her new Jigglypuff-ball it dawned on her that she didn't know too much about her aside from the possibility that her parents showered her in GI Joes instead of Barbies. I mean, she just met her today, but still. She had a good feeling about this one. Maybe she had found a traveling partner! "So Kirsa," started the girl. "What's your story?" Who knows, could be fun.
Prickles walked behind the two girls, not upset at being unnoticed. He raised a non-existent eyebrow at their reaction to the dolls; it seems humans just loved collecting stuff, whether it be Pokemon or toys of Pokemon. They were so odd.

Mike's face almost turned inside out in surprise and confusion when Mitsu's idea of a distraction was to challenge him to a battle, and even more so when out of all her Pokemon she sent out her Ivysaur. Did she spill her brain out along with her guts when she confessed her crush to him? Leading with a grass Pokemon? He scoffed. Mitsu dearest, perhaps you aren't aware of who you're dealing with. It's me, Mike. One of my notable and endearing character traits is my reckless love of solving everything with fire!. And you send Ivy against me first? He was wearing flame decorated swim trunks for god's sake! The sheer backwards oriented logic made his head hurt even worse.
The last thing he wanted to do was be caitiff and bludgeon poor Ivy to death with Nitro, Portabello or Felsic and make Mitsu feel even worse, but he really didn't have much choice in the matter. Beacon would drag the fight into redundancy with his lack of Grass killing moves and sending out Water type Shiver or low level Napalm would be just as smart as kicking a Gyarados in the teeth after insulting its mom. With a half hearted shrug he sent a Pokeball into the sand and out came Felsic. The instant he saw Mitsu the Typhlosion looked around expectantly, but frowned when Karri was no where to be seen. Ah well, a battle was a fine alternative. Felsic lowered himself to to the ground and dug his four strong paws into the sand, letting out a high pitched howl as flames shot from the mane on his neck.
This might not have been such a bad idea. he thought. If he stuck to Felsic's weaker fire moves, he could make the fight last long enough to let Mitsu enjoy herself while still pulling off a victory; win-win. "Alright Felsic let's get started strong with your Defense Curl! Don't underestimate Ivy just because he's a Grass type. He's no pushover!"
Wasting no time, Felsic compacted himself into a tight fuzzy ball, raising his defense against whatever leafy contraptions the saurian might have hidden under those palm leaves.

"No, surprise there," Mitsu commented seeing a Fire Pokemon appear. It was to be expected from Mike. "Though I can see my choice hasn't gone unnoticed. But seeing as Nightmare is still out of commission and half my party's gone, I've almost got no other choice." Zypher had been acting up again, she didn't exactly feel like dealing with her Pyschic's snappy comments, and Ebony already had his chance in the spotlight against Crenu the day before. And choosing Apollo wouldn't have been the greatest of ideas, the two hadn't even been together for more than twenty-four hours. The fire-maned horse would obey her with ease but Mitsu had no clue on Apollo's fighting style's or anything. Ah well, Ivy it was after all.
Enough with that, onto the battle at hand. She'd have to concentrate if she wanted the slightest chance at victory. "Tox--" Mitsu began before a small annoyance presented itself to her. It pulsed oddly from above her eye. She oddly felt the desire to command a Take Down. So much for concentration she thought holding her head in one hand not even noticing the red hue it had taken. With a quick shake of her head she shouted out "Toxic!"
There was nothing knew here. Mitsu typically started off with a somewhat defensive move and tried to win through side effects like Poison and Confusion. Slow and steady wins the race. Buy Ivy frowned. He had known Mike long enough to know how he could simply power through a battle winning with ease. Ah well, Mitsu was his trainer. He'd have to tell Karri later when he got the chance. But even then Ivy was known to though in his own innovated twists. Ivy charged almost as if he were going to tackle Felsic, but veered off a bit kicking up the sand of Slateport's beach. Fine purple particles mixed with the sand as it helped carry out the poisonous powder with it as it settled coating a small area in a thin sheet of toxins. The rest of the cloud floated towards the Jhoto fire starter though both he and Mitsu doubted it would connect.

"Contests," Kasiya murmured, looking over all of her Pokemon a few times. If she remembered correctly, Contests were about showing off your Pokemon to be as appealing as possible. She closed her eyes and recalled the dream she'd had recently. The outfit she'd been wearing, being surrounded by a loving, cheering audience, and the Flareon - she could still see with perfect detail the shine in its perfectly glossy coat, and the perfect way in which it executed all its moves to bring their appeal to a dazzling conclusion. I wonder if that's a sign, she thought to herself, inadvertently picking up a sleepy Nova from the ground and gently cuddling her. She knew her Pokemon were all capable fighters but she couldn't help but wonder if they could battle while showing everyone just how poised and perfect they could be. Ariel and Shocker would probably love contests, she thought, thinking of how the Vaporeon's beautiful attacks and the Raichu's grace and agility could be used to impress the judges. Seto, Flash, and maybe even Levi and Rosemary would like contests too, particularly the Persian and Jolteon, seeing as how the two liked to show off and all. But even still, her love for battling was very strong, and perhaps mastering a new way to battle with her Pokemon could be very beneficial in the long run.
Kasiya studied her Pokemon again, glad to see that the lunch had given everyone a bit of an energy boost. Even Rosemary was looking good after taking that strong Signal Beam earlier, and Kasiya couldn't help but notice how much more confident the Bayleef seemed. She caught sight of Crenu's Poliwag, and she watched it closely for a moment before it was recalled. If she remembered correctly, Poliwag would evolve into a Poliwhirl, then by use of a Water Stone, it could become a Poliwrath. Or, if Crenu so desired, he could have it become a Politoed, if he could somehow acquire a King's Rock. Kasiya looked over at Crenu, wearing an impish grin as she pretended to not hear the question about repaying her a debt. "So what do you suppose Poliwag's final form will be? Poliwrath or Politoed?" Shocker looked over at her trainer and smirked. Kasiya was never one to think about that kind of thing, as she seemed to figure that it would all work out in the end.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan laughed out loud at the two Pokemon as they played together, very glad to see that Metang was already starting to break out of that anti-social, timid shell of his. His evolution must have been a major confidence booster, Jaeshan thought, smiling at the two. He couldn't help but notice that Luffy seemed to be having a bit of a bulge in his belly going on. He figured it was just another one of the Aipom's quirks and he turned back to Robin. "That's okay," he said, in response to her not knowing where M.A. was. "I'm sure I'll see her again before the day is through." He brushed the stubborn blonde bangs from his forehead (even though they popped right back into place) and he smiled down at the pretty redhead. "So, is there anything you'd like to do? I'll gladly keep you company for a while," he added.

"Well well, hope you all enjoyed my cooking." Said the old man as he started to gather up the dishes. His daughter came back in still laughing as she held her pokeball in both hands. Her father gave her a nod and she went back into the kitchen to help him out. "Sweet girl, my little angel. We really do appreciate what you two did for us." The old man gave Crenu and Kasiya a very big smile before returning to his work.
Crenu on the other hand has busy trying to figure the odd smile that had made its way across Kasiya's face. It was a tad unsettling, but her sudden question came as an even bigger surprise. She had apparently come to the same conclusion as he had about Poliwag, though he wasn't really surprised seeing as she was a rather accomplished trainer. He had never really though about it before, after Poliwhirl had gotten some serious experience under his belt Crenu would evolve him into either Poliwrath of Politoad, both were quite different and had their own quirks. He would either end up a water fighter or stay a water, he would gain type weaknesses as a fighter but also earn some super effective hits on other types. But it was clear to him which best suited his style. "He could only become a Poliwrath." ((uhg, super el short and a half. head hurts to much to do more. sorry.))

Felsic came out of his curled position to a face full of toxic slime. He shook violently in hopes to get it off, but enough had been absorbed into his skin to make him start to feel nauseous. His stomach felt like he swallowed a perpetually vibrating cell phone, ugh. He hacked and gagged for a moment before standing up and awaiting his next command. It better involve roasting this little petunia.
Mike frowned. He wasn't expecting Mitsu to jump into it with a status ailment; and Toxic to boot. Great. "Okay Felsic, it's time we show her how we do buisness around here! Flame Wheel!" He thrust out his hand, a small stream of fire puffing from an open palm.
Perfect. Felsic jumped into the air, sand shooting out from all sides as he left the ground. While in the air, his body became covered with flames and with menacing bark, the Typhlosion descended upon Ivy like a furry fireball.

Well the toxins mixed in the sand were of complete waste now, burning under Felsic's Flame Wheel. No matter, phase one was complete. A poison that progresively worsens over time and weakens the body to produce a slow and painful death. Phase two would be to draw out the battle as long as possible. Something, that'd defiantely be a task to do against Mike.
Mitsu got ready to order her command. A rush of adrelaline filled her veins as she got ready to shout, "Take-- No!" What was she doing? Her hands flares a deep red once more, without her notice again and the throbbing in her head returned. "Protect! Ivy!" She called out. She hoped it would be in the nick of time for the green barrier to flare up against the crashing wall of flames that was Felsic.
Ivy wanted to cast a worried glance at his trainer. She wasn't the best of battlers, but she never faltered like that with commands. Something was wrong, he could sense it. But he needed to stop worrying about her for the time being and focus on himself. If he wasn't alert it was almost a sure fire chance at being burned. No pun intended. Felsic charged on closer and closer. The Ivysaur slammed in blueish-green foot into the sand summoning up a barrier to surround his leafy being.

Mike could just feel an ulcer growing at the realization of Mitsu's strategy, his right eye twitching just ever so slightly. To have Mitsu leave her opponents to suffer and pass out while she stood and watched was surprisingly uncharacteristic. Part of him was filled with a feeling close to pride that little Mits was going through with it. But then again Felsic was dying, so he was more filled with determination not to lose to a flippin' Grass Pokemon. "Play times over, Felsic! Hit Ivy with your Flamethrower!" Screw chivalry! If Mitsu had a problem with losing, she wouldn't have lead with an Ivysaur.
Finally, a command he agreed with! With all due glee, Felsic took in a deep breath, gagging for a moment on the poison in his gut. Work through the pain! Planting his feet in the ground the Typhlosion loosed a close range cone of fire at the now vulnerable Ivysaur. The surrounding sand darkened as the flames whisked by. Seriously, why did he bother having him use Flame Wheel when this was so much better?

Kirsa returned the wave to the nice vendor as she and her new friend continued on. "Ja, it is quite nice.." A little different than what she was used to, but it was enjoyable all the same. Like Sasha, she kept her Pokemon toy hugged close, absolutely smitten with it - though her delight was not so easily shown. Just a small smile and keeping the plush Jigglypuff close.
"My story..? Well..." What did Sasha want to know, exactly? She hadn't been very specific, and Kirsa didn't exactly have to talk about her self very often. She would be brief, then, and if the pink haired girl wanted to know more she could ask. Yes, that sounded reasonable. "I know about every other kind of fighting except the kind with Pokemon. If I wish to make it far in the military, I have to be versed in it, so I thought I might as well do it now, while I'm still too young to join.'' She could feel the Pokenav in her pocket lightly pressing against her leg; Kirsa was certain that by this time tomorrow, her father will have called her at least twice. "My papa is a Major. I've always wanted to be great like him, so...that is why I trained so much, and why I am doing this."
She took the Jigglypuff-ball into her hands so that it was facing her, smiling lightly at it. When she spoke, it was more to the plush than to Sasha. "Though, I suppose....being an opera singer would be nice, too." There were a few moments of silence as she mulled over this, and soon enough she was back to cradling the pink ball. "So, really, I don't know where I'm going or what I'm doing. I'm just...going and doing."

"That's not too surprising." Sasha said in a very matter-of-fact manner. It was true though. A girl who made a habit to dress entirely in army fatigues probably didn't want a life long career as a ballerina. But now that she mentioned it, that would certainly be a dance to see. Dissevering herself from the hilarious mental image of Patton soaring through the air in a tutu, Sasha was thrown a sudden curve ball. "Opera singer?" Now THAT was surprising. Kirsa didn't seem like a girl with a good set of pipes. But then again, with her, appearances could be deceiving. "You'll have to teach me some karate later." She smiled, imagining herself in a uniform kicking some serious a** with a good ol' karate chop.
But she could totally understand the whole 'just going and doing' thing. She herself was traveling the world with her Pokemon with no clear goal in mind. Becoming the league champ and earning the title of Pokemon Master would be great, but for now she was just enjoying the ride. She looked down at Prickles, remembering all the hard work she put into training him. To her, the sense of accomplishment when she won a battle or spent time with her Pokemon was enough to make her happy for the time being. "We're young girls." She said, motioning to her Azurill doll for emphasis. "We shouldn't worry too much about the future. We can do that when we're old. All we should focus on now is just living, and perhaps the occasional cute guy." She added with a wink.

Kasiya nodded at that, fully expecting that answer to come from Crenu. She wanted to point out that he would have two Fighting-type Pokemon on his team, but then again, who was she to judge, especially when she currently had two Water-types on her own team? By now, Nova had fallen asleep again and Kasiya recalled her, knowing that the baby needed her rest. The other five Pokemon were just the opposite, each looking energetic and happy, the latter of those two things making Kasiya feel quite good and energetic herself. Ariel had come over to her side and was nuzzling her leg gently, and Kasiya giggled when she felt the cold nose of the Vaporeon on her bare leg. Ada frowned at Ariel's proximity and continued to hug her trainer's other leg tightly, glaring at the Vaporeon as though she were an enemy. Kasiya sighed and shook her head. She didn't understand why Ada was being so clingy and jealous of the other Pokemon.
"Everything was delicious. Thank you very much for lunch," Kasiya said gratefully, smiling at the little girl as she ran into the kitchen after her father. "The biggest reward of all... is seeing how happy that little girl and her Tauros are," she murmured, not really to anyone in general. Her mind wandered back to the fight Mike and Flannery had the previous day and she frowned, unable to understand why Flannery was so angry. Sure, she was well aware of the dangers of playing hero, but in her mind the rewards outweighed all of the scary stuff. She didn't want to admit it, but there was something exhilarating about charging in, guns a-blazing, ready to swoop in and save the day.
She shook her head and snapped out of her thoughts, looking over at Crenu again, still wearing that ever-present smile of hers. "Say, do you wanna have a practice match or something?" she asked quite suddenly. "We can see if we're right about Poliwag, and maybe push him a bit to see if he'll evolve?" At the mention of the word battle, all five of Kasiya's Pokemon perked up, looking around excitedly. There was no shortness of eagerness within her group to train and get stronger, and that also made her quite happy. Still grinning, she pushed a stray strand of hair out her face. "It doesn't have to be a serious battle or anything like that, you know? Just for fun."

"Mhm..." Ah, that's right. Sasha had not been present when everyone introduced themselves, so she wouldn't know. "I love opera very much. I don't know if I could sing it, but it is nice to dream sometimes." Kirsa arched a brow at her friend at the mention of wanting to learn karate, but after a moment it sort of made sense. Sasha was young and quite pretty, and there were certain people in the world who would...might not be a bad idea. "Sure, I will teach you a few things. Probably just basics, it can get pretty rough on down the line..."
It was easy for Sasha to say they shouldn't worry about the future, but Kirsa? That was all she had been thinking about since she was little. Preparing for the future. Wasn't that what this was all about? The past would get you nowhere, and the present was spent preparing for the future, and when the future came...hm. Perhaps Sasha was on to something, but...if she wasn't preparing for the future, what was she supposed to do with herself? Even thinking back on all of the males she had met this afternoon, she wouldn't categorize them the same way Sasha probably did.
