Lovely artages! Mek - Grats on the NJ arts! Looks like it was worth the wait! 4laugh And I LOVE that group picture at the bar! Annd... our contest deadline had officially passed, and I'm working on the immensley hard task of judging sweatdrop And altogether we've hit I think a record number of entries - 624!! http://arania.kamiki.net/sabinkamikicontest.htm - just updated today heart *goes back to judging ^^;

It's amazing what 63 million will get you... xd Let's see...I have 6 million up for grabs in my contest, so if my math is correct, I should expect about 69 entries? whee ;;

That's quite an impressive number. My first contest was only 20k whee sweatdrop But I still got about 20 entries. I did a lot better than I think..my contest offering 100k.

I have over 150 entries so far in mine, I think, and it still runs to the end of august.

 dont like her eyes, horn and hair..... and its really not her best draw... and for my contest im offering 450k and more in prize, and i dont have a lot of entri i like...im really discouraged... sweatdrop crying crying

Don't get too discouraged - a lot of times the really good art comes close to the end. Of course, a little advertising in the right place doesn't hurt, either. You might try poking around in some other artists threads.
Sabin - ooh, how many written entries did you guys get? *Must go look at the arts* Blast my infernal lack of time.
Rae - You know people fall over themselves to enter your contests. xd
Last year, The contest I held was somewhere areound 6 million (I think?) and I got 200 + entries. Course, 6 million was a lot more back then.

Klody--it looks like you've got quite a few entries...about 60 if I counted right, tha'ts not bad. whee I think what might be keeping people from entering your contest is that you don't have an end date. In my experiance, tons of entries roll in at the last minute. Also, artists often don't like to wait a long time for a contest to end, perhaps they are afraid that your contest will never end if you don't have a set end date. :3

I dunno, even if I don't get "all my moneys worth", I still like hosting contests. It's easier than scowering every corner of Gaia looking for artists. ;__; I just don't have time for that, which is why I gravitate more towrad commissioning for USD. The R&C is just so cluttered with... lots of things I'm not interested in... that I don't like browsing through it. =/
I go through varying stages of angsting through it, the constant 'omg everyone must hate me why dont they enter', but.. when all's said and done, I like hosting contests. I like giving out the prizes. And I do get some really, really neat things that I never would have commissioned, by the end of it.
And, Klody.. I dunna mean to be rude or anything, but this isn't the place for contest whining sad People will enter what they want to enter, none of us can make people enter your contest. I mena, personally, I entered your contest. What more can you expect than that?
I can understand just needing to get it all out and say your peace, but that's what blogs and journals are for.
Like I said, it's not my intent to be cruel, but, whining about your contest and how "poorly" it's doing every time you post in the guild isn't getting anyone anywhere.
