Writing a short story or an article for his website was one thing, writing to an emotionally distraught woman going through something as traumatic as this was another. He nodded showing his support. "That's an idea." Lucas did like it. He knew it would be hard for him to find the words alone, but he had a feeling with Emerwyn's help they could come up with something.
"All right. Um, what do you suppose we should say?"

"I know that we should write exactly what we think. Exactly what we feel. Emelyn, no matter what state of mind she is in, is a very honest person, and she would expect no less from her friends."
The village was not too far off.

Lucas only nodded. He could be honest, but he struggled with expressing his own feelings and thoughts sometimes. Especially in what he felt were delicate situations. Exactly what he was regarding this situation as. He didn't want to make matters worse with Emelyn.
"The stationary... is it back at your duplex?"

"Yes. And by the pricking of my thumb, we should be arriving there within the next ten minutes." What had inspired this upbeat feeling in her? Emerwyn had become so volatile in the past months that the presence of a certain person would ignite a completely different persong in herself. She missed having someone who made her feel like this. She made no assumptions as to what could possibly be wrong with the stationary being up in her room.
And within ten minutes, they were at the door, and Emerwyn was ushering Lucas in.

New RP
Marshall hadn't been in the jungle, and for good reason: Juding by how Gaius reacted whenever the name "Zach" was mentioned, he figured that avoiding any place where he might see the large dragon would be smart. Despite that, he found himself wandering the jungle yet again, still amazed with the lush scenery. "OW!" he hisses, stepping on a rather sharp rock. Since his change, he had to give up wearing shoes, leaving his feet totally unprotected.
Grumbling profanities, the large-nosed boy hobbled over to a tree, leaning on it as he checked out his foot. Yep, it was bleedin', but nothing a bandaid wouldn't fix.
"...Damnit."

Nita heard Marshall coming, several minutes before he stumbled into her line of sight. For once she was actually out for a walk instead of perched in her favorite tree, although Marshall had, probably unintentionally, stumbled into that general area.
"You okay there?" she asked with a laugh, emerging from the surrounding brush. The girl didn't recognize Marshall at first, but whoever-it-was was obviously not a threat, the way they were acting.

"Yeah, yeah...Its just a scratch." Marshall said, the voice sounding feminene enough for Marshall not to be afraid as he continued to look at his 'wounded' foot. It really wasn't that bad, just a small knick with a little bit of blood. He looked up, seeing a familiar fuzzy red girl. "...Um...You're Nina, right?" he asked, still holding onto his foot.

"Nita," she automatically corrected."...Marshall?" She had finally gotten a good look at her unwitting companion, noting the changes that were new to her, at least.
Looking down at the offending foot, Nita tsked. It was pretty obvious why he wasn't wearing shoes, at least. "Ouch. Your feet will toughen up though," she told him with the confidence of personal experience. Nita indicated her own feet, which were bare, as usual.
Although her feet would still fit in shoes, they no longer felt particularly comfortable, not to mention shoes made tree-climbing difficult. The black pads on the heels and balls of her feet were calloused from her numerous jungle treks, although she had certainly undergone similar injuries in the past.

"Nita! Heh heh...Sorrry 'bout that." Marshall said, rubbing the back of his neck, "Yeah, its still me...Despite the shnoz." he said, surprisingly use to it by now.
"Sorry I haven't seen ya in a while...But, um...I'm finally getting the hang of the island. Made a couple of freinds...Still haven't gotten around to asking what I'm turning into, though..." he said, treating Nita like a teacher he hadn't seen since Graduation or some thing.

"It's alright," Nita said easily. "Aww, the nose doesn't look bad. I mean, I still knew it was you, once I got a good look. Besides, I've changed too since we last saw each other, I think."
"Friends are good," she said with a smile. "Who've you met?" Nita looked Marshall up and down, speculating. "A bird of some sort, from the nose," she decided. "And feet." Nita grinned, her cheeks puffing out.

"Well..." Marshall said, taking a seat on the dirt. It was a small cut, but he didn't want it to get infected or any thing, "There's Gaius, Sid, Liamh, Amaya, Anatoli...And I had the displeasure of meeting Zach." Marshall said, counting their names off of his fingers, "...And believe it or not you're not the first person to suggest 'bird'." Marshall said with a small smile.

Nita followed suit, clearing away a patch of ground. She sat with her legs folded up to her chest, her arms resting lightly on her knees, tail curled around to cover her feet. "Oh, I've met Gaius. He's a nice guy. Amaya is sweet, although I haven't seen her for a long time." The other names were unfamiliar, except for Sid's. Her own encounter with the older man had mostly consisted of awkward staring and the occasional utterance of 'Well, s**t.'
Zach on the other hand... "Oh Jesus, what did Zach do to you?" she asked.

"Huh? Um, nothing really...I mean, after you told me about the island, he tried to convince me that you lied...But, y'know...I'm not THAT stupid. But he really pissed of Gaius, so...I just don't really trust him." Marshall shrugged. He was obviously one of those people who could be persuaded by other people easily.
"I take it you met him before?"

Nita rolled her eyes in exaspiration. "Wow. Just.. wow. Although actually, that's awfully subtle for Zach. Our previous encounters involved him yelling at a friend of mine, and me, although I just happened to be there; and then later making a friend of mine cry just for looking at him."
The fact that he pissed off Gaius was rather impressive, actually. Nita had him figured for a relatively stolid type.
"I mostly ignore him, personally, but I haven't seen him recently. He was banned from the village for a while, but I guess he's back."

"Heh heh...Well, he is a pretty ugly sunuva gun, isn't he?" Marshall said, chuckling, totally unaware of how much of a threat Zach could actually be.
"So, you've met Gaius before?" Marshall asked. He hadn't seen Gaius since they explained the island of Liamh and made him watch Princess Monoke.
