Randal finally reaches the village, Til out and on his shoulder, and GeininX's cart a total wreck. Randal tends to plucking off leaves and twigs from the cart as one of the village guards watches him carefully. He notices the symbol on his back and frowns, but says nothing. He had grown to dislike the organization after the effects that occurred in their village. Not being they knew Hayai was a member of SCM, because she wore no symbol, but because they had yet to come and see about Fragment despite being a part of their collection of villages. When Randal finally seeks entry, pulling the cart along in his odd way, the guard blocks his path. “What business do you have here?” He supposed he would let Randal through if he truly was a member of SCM, and see if he had intentions of aiding in the restoration of the village.

“Uh, oh, Randal. We're in trouble now. He looks angry. What's he saying?” Til squeaks lowly as it scurries into Randal's hood. The boy shrugs his shoulders at Til as he looks at the guard. He notices the guards face grow slightly red in anger and begins to wonder what he'd done wrong. Should he try and communicate? What if it enraged the guard further? What to do?

“What do you mean you don't know?” The guards asks as Randal stares at him wide eyed. What? He hadn't said anything about not knowing to the guard? Had he mistaken the gesture for him and not realized that Randal was doing it to Til? Now the guards is really expecting him to say something. The young boy shakes his head leg and right before turning his back to the guard. The guard, clad in heavy armor, watches the boy carefully as he points out the Swords of the Crescent Moon symbol in the center of the back of his cloak. He watches as Randal turns around again and first points to himself and the cart before pointing at the village. He only hoped the guard understood that he was trying to say that he was from SCM and wished entry for himself in order to return the cart he has with him. But the iron man shows no signs and doesn't budge. Now what?

“You can take em, Randal! Make him let you in!” Til urges. Randal takes a deep breath before nodding. The guard grows confused as Randal takes in air.

“Beasts Semblance: Canine Semblance,” Randal whispers to himself. He had ended the Feline Semblance before so as not to come off as aggressive, but now he would take the form of the Canine Semblance. His pupils enlarge and he grows long fangs and claws. His hair stands on end atop his head as he readies to attack the guard. The guard seems to wave his spear about which catches Randal's attention. The guard begins to strike the boy only to notice one of the boys feet tapping. Perhaps he was trying something? The man raises the spear as Til screams out, only to notice Randal leaping up in the air, as if trying to catch the spear. Did he really think the spear was a stick? The guard shifts the spear this way and that, Randal following it everywhere. The guard finally decides to hurl the spear away and Randal happily chases after it, dragging the cart along with him. When he finally reaches the spear he comes to the realization that he'd been shooed away from the village. He looks at the guard with puppy dog eyes only for the guard to fan a hand at him. Denied.

Hidden Fragment
Seventeen days after the events in Hidden Soul
User ImageUser Image
The two figures made their way down the road, with the practiced ease of travelers who had done that same act on many other roads before. Silence was set upon them like a mantle, no need for words when there was nothing of import to talk about. Anything that had needed to be said, any burning questions that had to be asked, had already gone and went. After what had happened back in the Hidden Soul quarter of Hidden Federation, Kawari had been left with many questions. Unfortunately, by the time things had calmed down, Noze was in no mood to answer any of them. So they would remain unanswered, at least for now.

Noze had spontaneously decided to leave Soul after what had happened, not that the android could blame her. She hadn't exactly endeared herself to the locals with what had occurred. A change of venue seemed in order. With luck, if and when they chose to return to Soul, the locals would have had time to efface repairs, and perhaps forget what had happened. And why Fragment, of all possible locations? There didn't seem to be a real answer to that question, at least none that Kawari could deduce. Aside from the geographical, there was no connection between the two sections of Federation. If Kawari wanted to know, she would simply have to continue accompanying Noze on her journey.

They could see the edge of Fragment's lands, still under guard from some incident in the past. The armed guards that stood there seemed to be alert enough, there was almost no chance of sneaking past them. But why would they have to? No word had gone out that Fragment had closed it's borders. Even so, when they attempted to pass the guards without a word, one of the guards moved to interpose their swarthy frame between Noze and Kawari, and the village. He glowered at them, demanding to know their purpose. Kawari had no idea what to say, she had yet to get an answer out of Noze. She glanced at the silent figure next to her, hoping she would perhaps come back to herself, wake up a bit, enough to answer and let them proceed.

But no, Noze remained silent, simply standing there, standing blankly at the guard. Almost like she was... Wait! From what she remembered of Fragment... That could work! Spinning the story together even as she spoke it, Kawari attempted to bluff her way past the guards. "It's horrible! My friend here was in a terrible accident, trapped under the rubble when one of the other villages was destroyed! The medic-nins said she is alright, but she won't speak, she acts barely alive! She won't even eat or drink! I had heard that if she could gain access to the phase-shift reality within The World, she might possibly be able to come back to us! Please, you have to let us through!" She sent a trigger command to her systems, and a small amount of cleaning fluid secreted from her eyes, feigning tears.

The guard tried to maintain a gruff facade, but her story had gotten to him. In point of fact, he had lost a member of his own family during a similar accident, some years ago. She would have been about Noze's age now... Giving a harrumph of annoyance, he grudgingly moved to the side before waving them through. "Fine, go ahead." Just as they were passing, he spoke in a softer voice. "I hope she recovers..." Kawari thanks him before grabbing Noze's hand and pretending to guide her through the gateway and into Hidden Fragment. That had been too close. She had noticed a faint glow in Noze's eyes, almost like what had happened with the crone in Soul. If the two omens were similar at all, she couldn't let Noze be struck with the same affliction. Or rather, she couldn't let her do what the crone had done. She had pulled it off, just in the nick of time. Now, maybe now she could find out just why Noze had wanted to come here in the first place.

"Huh? What? What did they say to the guard to get him to let them in? What's the difference between them and us? They aren't even from that village or allied with it and we're the ones stuck outside?" Randals growls as he glances back at his hood. Til, his tiny mouse companion, pops his head up and out of the hood. A bit confused by everything. Randal sits on the ground roughly, causing dirt to stir up from the hard ground, as the little mouse makes its way to Randal's shoulder. "I mean, I showed them the symbol and everything. He even saw GeininX's computer and still he said nothing? I don't get where we went wrong," the Betori barks as Til shakes his head.

"I don't understand a word of what you said, Randal. Your accent is too strong and you're talking to fast for me to interpret. Stop talking dog and talk in mouse if you want to speak to me," Til suggests as Randal pouts. In his astonishment at the two females being allowed in and not him and Til, Randal had begun speaking in dog rather than mouse to communicate with Til properly. Rather than trying again, Randal just sits there and pouts. He didn't feel like going through everything again. He thinks a while before he comes to a decision.

"I'll just have to plow my way through." The Hidden Creatures Genin stands from the ground before hunching forward. He arches his back and doesn't allow his fists to fully touch the ground. He drags one foot back on the ground, rears his head, and then mutters, "Beasts Semblance: Behemoth Semblance." Til hears Randal mutter something in mouse and presumes its another ability of his. He ducks into the boys hood as Randal’s muscles grow in size. They can only faintly be seen and aren't too noticeable. His feet seem to dig into the earth, like his body has grown heavier, and his fists finally touch the ground. He squints his and seems to scowl at the airspace before him. The boy barrels along the path leading to the village, moving a lot slower than before, and tugging the cart along after him. The guard notices his difference in stance and begins to attack the boy when the computer behind him cuts on, but the screen has a lot of static.

"Randal, stop," a voice crackles through from the computer speakers. The guard seems to eye the screen almost wide eyed as Randal tries to skid to a halt. Given the speed he was running and the current weight of his body, it's hard to stop. Just when he comes within inches of crossing the village line for entering the village, he finally stops. "Please grant this boy entry. He doesn't speak the human tongue, but rather animal. It's me, GeininX, old man. Step aside already." An image finally flickers onto the screen to show GeininX's face. The guard steps aside in acknowledgement, apparently knowing the boy on the screen. Randal sneers as he tows the cart inside and subconsciously goes in search of the females that had entered.

After they had made their way into the village, Kawari slowed to a stop, and let go of Noze's hand. She turned to face the other girl, hoping that she might finally show a little more signs of life, that she might give some clue as to why she had even wanted to come here, of all places. This section of Hidden Federation seemed almost deserted, there weren't the normal sights of people moving to and fro on various errands. even in the dark alleyways of the Hidden Soul quarter, there had been the occasional furtive movements of those who skulked in the shadows. But not here, for some reason.

She paused in her thoughts as she registered a series of faint tremors, faint vibrations in the earth that were gradually getting closer and closer. It was as if something extremely heavy was approaching. But what, and why? She began actively scanning, switching between a few optical filters before spotting an approaching heat signature. Bringing her vision back to the default, she turned to face this approaching entity. unsure if they were a friend or foe. She had never seen them before. A wild looking youth, wearing a cloak that hid much of their form. Pulling a cart, upon which was perched a computer. That was certainly an odd thing to carry around, to what purpose would the youth do such a thing? Curious. They were still a decent distance away, there was no absolute proof that they were headed toward her and Noze. But coincidence was seldom that, the fact that an irregular data factoid seemed to be intersecting their own situation immediately after the still unresponsive Noze had guided her here... it was one coincidence too much. Had Noze wanted to come here to meet them? Did she know them? They didn't seem to be exuding any sort of menace, so if Noze did have a connection to the youth, it was likely not negative, at least.

Kawari shifted into a ready stance. Not an offensive one, just one to be ready in case she would have to go into action, be it battle or retreat. She felt confident in her own abilities, but protecting Noze, if it came down to it, was another matter. She would wait, reserve judgment until after this youth got closer. To find out if it was them that the youth was headed toward, and if so, why.

Mamichi had graduated easily enough and stared whimsically out at the world from the puddle she’d taken residence in waiting for some sort of dinner to meander into her form so that she could eat it. She was feel particularly lazy today as if something about it had he apathetic, then again she had just wasted another few weeks chasing after Hedoro only to find she’d missed her again which sorely disappointed Mamichi beyond compare. Hedoro always seemed to be one step ahead of her whenever she tried to find her, it was almost annoying in a way like she were purposely avoiding her for some reason but she’d never do that so it must have been chance that they’d missed each other for each time. Mamichi didn’t really know why she adored Hedoro but for as long as she could remember which wasn’t all that long in reality a year or two of life whether there was memory before that or not she didn’t know, Mamichi had been compelled to chase after her idol. She knew her name when she awoke and felt a need to go to her, she could feel a slight tug at time like a child pulling on the sleeve of a parent, like a pointed nudge in a certain direction. The others told her that it was probably her imagination but Mamichi liked to believe that it was Hedoro or where Hedoro was like her body was telling her where she was. Though Mamichi yearned to follow it the constant reminders of her duty had long given her some self control over the need to just go after it. As if by thinking about it there was at that moment once more a slight tug on Mamichi’s person, but she was hungry, she’d wait to investigate the direction, then once more as if by thinking it something was dropped in her lap a rabbit hopped into view and made its’ way to what it believed was water. The tiny little head poked into the slime with its mouth and it was stuck instantly and Mamichi swallowed it whole manipulating her slime in such a way as to snap it’s neck so it’d die peacefully instead of a slow agony of being digested whole which was happening rather quickly which wasn’t too surprising since it was a small creature. Mamichi had gotten into the habit of eating dead things, they were a lot easier to find in the wild though she still endeavored to consume thing that were at least very recently living, Mamichi’s slime seemed to process the dead better than the living as if the fact they were still alive made it harder to digest. She didn’t like the feeling of a struggling animal or person, which on occasion she did eat, inside her either. The people she ate were usually bandits or mercenaries, those who attacked her, or the already dead. Mamichi wasn’t all too picky about where her food came from.

Chapter 2: Into the Rabbit HoleUser Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
The Chunin Exams, were finished; out of the brave warriors who took a shot at reaching the next stage of shinobi, only half were still alive by the time the exams were done. The other half of those brave warriors either died during the exms or failed. For the ones that failed the proctor was generous that day and still gave them a chance to pass and reach the Chunin stage of their shinobi rank. The ones that were given a second chance passed like Seibetsu, while a few others didn't receive the same treatment. As for those who passed, they received an extra boost in power depending on what they contributed to the exams; that and just making it through the end alive. Two people who passed the exams went by the name of Jeremy and Kai. It was already good enough that the two had receive good upgrades to their entire attire. When the two apprentices of Sonya went into the exam room and realized that they were going to be teaming up, that was just bad news for the rest of the teams. Asuka Sinobi, a Hidden Cloud member also passed the exams, taking him to the rank of Chunin. The Dattoumaru student known as Rosalia also made it to the ranks after arriving to this world more than a month ago. Lastly the ex-platinum haired warrior, now Miyanari swordsman passed the exams, acheiving the level of Chunin status as a shinobi.

Reiko Seldab

Just little over a month ago, the ex-platinum haired warrior made his debut to this world after his previous world and eveyrone on it all went to hell. If it wasn't for his teacher's secret technique with a little bit of luck, Then he, along with Jeremy and Kai would have been left to perish with his world. Shortly after their arrival, the Miyanari swordsman managed to see his friend Rosalia once more along with her sister alive, well and as a member of the Hidden Cloud village. The ex-platinum haired wariror however did not tell her about their plan on going back home and taking back what was theres via time travel. Reiko was dubious that she may decline their offer and make this new planet her new home. After the four of them got back together, the Miyanari swordsman, along with his ex- teacher's assistants gathered the courage to offer the dattoumaru student a spot on their team of attempting to do the impossible and rewrite history. After a few mintues of consideration, Rosalia accepted and right there their plan was set in stone. The first part of their plan was to train at the closest places to their home clans and learn everything they can there along with trying to find any information that could help them head back home. Of course everyone was entitled to do what they want, it was a suggestion. After the exama, Reiko read about a few places in his shinobi handbook that were close to the Hidden Cloud Vilage and decided to give it a shot. And the ex-platinum haired warrior did not feel like recreating the scene back at West City; biting off more than he could chew and end up in the afterlife.

The Cyan haired Miyanari swordsman was located minutes away from Hidden Cloud; well, not exactly. With his transportation technique he was minutes away from his home village here on this planet. Without it he was located a couple of miles west from his clan, meditating in an indian stance at the top of Mt. Usa. To say that the Cyan haired swordsman was in a comfortable place would have been an overstatement. It was cold as hell up there! If not for his skill and choice in electricity, he may have gotten severly sick by now. Luckily the Cyan haired Miyanari swordsman used his electricity to flow throughout his body to keep him warm. Plus the sweet silence that surronded him, only to be broken by the winds that were usually traveling at the altitiute the Cyan haired Miyanari swordsman was at. He didn't count the sound of his lungs taking in the cold air through his nostrils and releasing them.

A frigid wind blew a light dusting of snow scattering madly in it's wake. Visibility was low, and the air was dangerously thin. Yet this was where the cloaked figure found itself. A neutral mask hid their features, while the travel cloak they wore flared out at each new sub-zero gust of wind, the cloak's leading edge already frayed from years of use. The mask hid any sign of the mist of the traveler's breath, yet they had to feel the cold. It would be impossible not too, it was below freezing, and steadily dropping as evening approached. The traveler carried no gear, no supplies to weather the inclement weather. They just moved on steadily, one foot in front of the other in a steady rhythm that spoke of long travels and still farther destinations.

While their features were hidden, the cloak and mask gave away their identity as clearly as their face would. This was Tamao Suzumi, wandering swordswoman. How her travels had led to this location was impossible to say. Perhaps she herself wasn't even fully aware of where she was. Just of the journey, of sinking into the almost trance-like state that came from long hours of monotonous walking. She was known as a skilled user of swords, yet there were no blades present, no sheath at her hip or back.

The crunch of feet breaking through the crust of snow garnered her attention, she came to a stop as she looked around. Not a very cheerful place, but the solitude spoke volumes. Here, perhaps, would be an ideal location for devoting to the lone studies of the blade, for honing her skills with only the endless absence of sound her accompaniment. Or rather, it would have been an ideal location, save for the presence of another. She turned to take a better look at them. She didn't recognize them, but then again, she had remained out of the politics of the current age long enough that any number of new warriors might have emerged. She stood where she was for a moment, debating between pressing on or finding out more about how anyone else was reckless enough to be in such an inhospitable locale.

The footsteps crushing the white, cold snow underneath the Miyanari swordsman began to slowly interrupt his meditation. Luckily for the intruder the Miyanari swordsman already accepted the fact that his meditation would have to be put on pause when he heard footsteps. One eye awoke when he was able to hear the first few steps, followed by the other eye. He turned his head to get the image of the figure brave and foolish enough to travel this far so he could get a energy reading with his ryuugan. Perhaps it was a member of the Hidden Summit Clan, convincing him that coming back down to get something to eat was best. If not that, then perhaps he or she was just checking on the Miyanari swordsman; that was likely, considering these temperatures were child's play to the immune system and external temperature of the clan members. His eyes got thin in suspicion when he couldn't get a reading on the energy of this newcomer, causing the Miyanari swordsman to get out of the indian stance he was comfortable in and arise on his feet. "Another test from Kai and Jeremy?....maybe her?"
When he turned around to address the newcomer, he realized that her apperance matched the description of a section of his shinobi handbook. He wasn't a threat to anyone, nor commited any crime as far as he was concerned, so why was an ANBU member here in the cold? "Can I help you?" he asked.

Tamao watched as the other person got to their feet. They had heard her approach and wasted only an instant before responding. Not too bad. Not the hare trigger's readiness that might be necessary in more dangerous times, but well within the acceptable range for the current age of relative peace. She let her gaze move just beyond the male as she took his measure. Still young and somewhat inexperienced, but he had a spark in his eyes. Whether that spark would develop into a fire that would drive them on, or gutter out was impossible to say, but the potential was there.

She realized he had asked a question and spent a moment mulling over her answer. Was there something he could help her with? Her path was almost entirely one of solitude, she had spent months, years out of the public eye. For all she knew, the rest of the world may have forgotten about her entirely. Perhaps this young man knew what was going on. "Perhaps you can. I've been traveling for some time, and not kept in touch with the world at large. Have you news of what the current situation is?" The situation, of course, referred to the general state of relations between the villages, of ninjas who had recently gone rogue, of Kages who had either stepped down or recently gained their position. All in all, she just wanted to know the current affairs of the Five Nations. She was also interested in finding out if any users of the sword of renown had appeared, any who were considered skilled in the arts of the blade. But this she didn't mention, not yet.

The aspiring blacksmith found herself in the curious segment of the Federated Commonwealth of Ninja Villages that ostensibly belonged to Hidden Fragment. As usual, there wasn't very much traffic within the village, nor were the people who were seen very busy. A very peaceful village, regardless of what else happened in the world at large. It is doubtful she would find much in the call for blacksmiths here, experienced or not. That wasn't her primary goal, though. Instead, she was still following an order she had received some time ago, to simply go out into the world. Supposedly, the more people she saw, the more lives she experienced, the better her skills would grow. She didn't really understand how the two were connected, but orders were orders. So she found herself here, in Hidden fragment of all places. With so few people out and about, she didn't see how int he world she could possibly learn anything. She would remain at least a little while longer, however, and only after her patience wore thin, only then would she move on.

Yodan no Keishi - Hidden Fragment
The armor-clad explorer clanked down the road, the sound of metal plates heralding her presence long before she was in sight of the next village. She had left her home in search of adventure, in search of someone who could truly test her armor, and let her see just how much damage she could take. A reckless attitude to be sure, but she had faith in her armor, in the metal of her home. Only by testing it under the most extreme of challenges could she discover new ways to improve it, new ways to better both it's capabilities and her own skills. She needed more experience. She didn't even know which village she was currently in, but she hoped that wherever it was, there would be a suitable foe for her. Someone who could provide that extreme test, someone who could have a possibility of breaking her armor. She herself wasn't too strong, but her faith in her armor lent her added strength in her convictions.

The Miyanari warrior was suprised at parts of her story, such as her status as a traveler when she part of the ANBU squad. Of course, he could relate to her story as a traveler after he followed the same path back before West City. He traveled the lands finding any source that could improve his skills with the blade after he graduated from the Xim academy. But the cyan haired Miyanari swordsman always kept in touch with society, trying his best to keep up with what was going on around him. With this woman it seemed like the opposite. The Apparently she traveled so much that she wasn't able to keep up with the times of the world. The Miyanari swordsman thought that was odd, considering that she was part of the ANBU squad, who usually traveled in pairs; at least, for high ranked missions. Ability wise, they were almost unmatched. They were the 911 of the 911, what the cops back on his world would call for backup if things got out of control. Why would she give that up...that position of power? Reiko asked himself this in his head but the speed of his answer his consciouness gave him explained it all to well.

While it was good that Reiko was perhaps able to help the woman with whatever problem she had, it proved shortly that Reiko was unable to assit her with her question. How unfortunate that her curiosity on the relationship level of the villages would have a poor answer for two reasons. One reason the cyan haired miyanari warrior didn't know was because the Miyanari warrior wasn't completely sure of the "situation". Reiko didn't even though what "situation" she was talking about. He spent most of his time at hidden cloud, with hidden gears coming in second place. Surely if there was any situation to arise then the Miyanari swordsman would have known about it. On the other hand, as skilled as he was with the blade, which earned him a spot in the Miyanari clan, he was still in the low ranks compared to the higher ups such as the leader of the village. There could have been a major situation and Reiko would not even know about it. The second reason he would end up being oblivious was that he was in the same boat as her. The only difference was that Reiko wasn't able to keep in touch with society because of his predicament. He was still new to this village and this entire world. That didn't mean he wasn't going to explore; exploration was pratically Jeremy's plan after all.

"Current situation? I don't know anything about current situation to be honest. If something was going to happen then then I would have likely known about it. But seeing as how it hasn't yet it can be safe to assume that everyone is on good terms with each other." he told her, keeping out the part that he ended up via Universal Transmission and has only been here a little more than a month.

"On good terms? I see..." She turned slightly as a gust of wind blew from the side, flattening her cloak against that side for a moment as the wind howled it's displeasure over a simple conversation. She raised her mask-obscured gaze to the horizon, looking out from the side of the mountain, in the direction of the majority of the other villages. She surely couldn't see them from this much of a distance, but that didn't matter. She wasn't looking, she was feeling. "Can't you feel it? Trouble is looming, my blades are aching." No swords were visible, that unusual phrase may be the only clue toward her specialty that was given so far. There was something in her stance that spoke of the conserved movements of a master of the sword, but with the cloak, much of those movements would likely go unnoticed.

But her words were true. She could feel it. In her bones, in her swords. She had no clue from where the danger would come, just that it was coming. It was that aspect of the unknown that made her curious toward the political landscape of the Five Nations. If one of the great villages were too have been causing trouble, that may have been a clue toward the true danger that was yet to come. If they were all on reasonably amiable terms, however, that meant the trouble was even more well-hidden than she thought. That led her to believe that whatever the trouble was, it was guided, directed. Whatever the source, it knew what it was doing, and was keeping everything concealed until it would be too late. It was said 'now is generally the best time to do anything', and that statement was true here. Now would have been an opportune time to track that danger down and remove it's fangs. But there were no clues, no signs toward where it might be hidden away, skulking in the shadows like a ghoul.

That left the simple option of training, preparing. If she couldn't find the unknown danger now, then she would have to make sure that she was ready when it chose to reveal itself. The path of the sword was eternal, as long as she could still raise her blade, then there was room for improvement. That was why she wandered, feeling the power of the earth, the quiet strength of the wind, all of the elements. Letting them guide her course, letting the spirit of the land lend her it's wisdom.

"Yes."

As mentioned before, he was only making an assumption, a big one at that. Even if things with the nations weren't as simple and good as the cyan haired miyanari warrior said, it still did not hurt to be on the safe side and prepare for anything. He recommended that she should take his words lightly since he was not one hundred percent sure. Her choice of words next were as if she did when she asked him if he could feel it..sense the danger that was building up. If they were back at West City Academy, or if the cyan haired Miyanari warrior regained some of his old powers, then perhaps he could. He would have been able to be on the same page as the mysterious woman and see the danger before anyone else. "I...can't say that I can." he replied. It was eerie enough that her emotionless mask made her apperance more creepy than necessary, along with his guard to be up higher than normal. In addition, she spoke in swords. "my blades are aching." Those words would have passed the Miyanari warrior if it was not for the fact that the eerie, mysterious ANBU didn't have any weapons on her. At least, not any weapons that were revealed by Reiko's eyes.

"So she knows how to wield a blade, and has more than one...but since I don't see any blades, are her weapons similar to my Neo Cryptic Chaos?" he wondered as he looked towards the same direction she was gazing at, eyeing her from his peripheral view. It was dangerous enough for a target to experience the features that came with Reiko's signature blade. But if her weapons shared similar features, then that alone made her a dangerous opponent without the features she was offered when she was recruited to the ANBU squad. "So your a swordswoman?...Or at least skilled with swords?" You mentioned your blades were hurting but I don't see any on you." he curiously asked. One could say he was playing dumb almost but he knew that just because one couldn't see a weapon didn't meant it wasn't there. Reiko was a good example.

"No matter, soon it will show itself, danger will not stay hidden in the shadows forever." She let her gaze fall, looking down the mountain. This was the first look she had taken down since she wound up where she was. She had realized she had been moving uphill for some time, but until now, the exact height she had reached had been a vague, unknown quantity. She had no fear of heights, no irrational fear of falling just because of higher elevation. But even then, she held a healthy respect for the danger such a fall could pose to the unwary. At the next comment out of the other's mouth, she realized that her vague suspicion was right. She had been so far out of the attention of the world at large, that her mask was no longer recognized. Whether that was for good or ill, there was no way of knowing. For now, she would simply enjoy the lack of attention. Even so, it would be rude not to answer, even if that revealed who she was.

"Indeed I am, my blades and I have traveled far, sharpening our edges on fate's whetstone. As for my blades," At that, she turned to face him. She hadn't made any move that could even be close to drawing a weapon, yet now a blade sat comfortably in her hand, the tip pointed down and to the side, a passive position. "As for my blades, they are always with me." She raised her hand, and the blade seemed to vanish before it could even point at the Miyanari, her hand once again empty. Some might say it was bragging, to show one's skill openly like that. Others would say it was only fair, to give a potential opponent a measure of your capability before the battle began. As for her, she was simply answering his question, nothing more. Which was why she had called forth her own personalized blade, the one she had forged herself. Long ago, in Hidden Katana, she had crafted the Shinzui no Kurobara. It was a long but slender blade, embellished with several flower patterns. This was only fitting, as Hidden Nano was her erstwhile home. And just like a flower, her blade had vanished all too soon.

After showing her blade, she realized she had failed in simple courtesy. "I forget my manners. I am Tamao Suzumi, practitioner of the Mugen Tsurugi, and native of Bisaigakure. And you are?" She slipped back into a neutral stance, her arm slipping back to her side as if she had not been wielding a blade just moments earlier.

The screen of the computer cuts out suddenly, Randal pausing to glance back at it, before it flickers back on. What an old, busted machine. The boy, still strolling about on all fours even though it only brought about stares. Or rather, a stare coming from the guard that had let him through. Why did the guard let them through just from GeininX speaking and nothing more? Was it the old man part? The guard hardly seemed old enough to be considered anything a young man. "I am aware that you are unable to speak human, but can you understand it?" GeininX's voices comes through, a bit scratchy, trying to speak with Randal. The animalistic child simply perks up an ear to acknowledge that he'd heard the person on the screen speak, but make no effort to speak. On his face is the same scowl he had moments ago. His mouse companion scurries about until scampering on top of the boys head. He opens his mouth wide and snatches up a few strands of hair in his mouth before tugging it hard. Randal whimpers, his Beast Semblance fading out to allow the boy to be a little less aggressive.

"Ow, Til, why? Whaddya pull my hair hard for? How am I to know GeininX was talking to me anyway?" The boys whines, sounding like squeaking to any ear untrained to the animal language. "I can't understand a thing he's saying anyway, so why not just ignore him, huh?" Til tugs on Randal's hair again and the boy stops walking. He turns to face the cart, eyeing the screen a moment before averting his gaze. The boy thinks, and can only think to show what he's saying rather than try and speak human. The last few times he tried only resulting in him speaking primitive ape. He sits on the ground, this time in the butterfly position, before pointing at his head. He shakes it left and right, hoping to show GeininX that he had no clue what he'd just said. The teen on the screen simply nods, already seeing that Randal could not understand him by the looks of things. He wanted to ask how Randal got his computer, why was the Betori the one to take his computer back to Fragment, and if the boy could try and take him to the locations he needs to go currently. GeininX furrows his eyebrows a bit before the screen flashes.

Randal can soon see the ground on the camera and watches closely. The animal child nods, understanding whatever marking GeininX scribbles into the ground. He wanted to take after GeininX and communicate in that way too, however, there wasn't any dirt around. Randal decides to just do as instructed, his head tilting over in the females direction before straightening up. Randal would then turn about and begin making his way over to the females. Why was he walking towards them anyway? It's not like he could communicate.

T h e W o r l dxxGeininX, like they typically do that amazes even the oldest of players, wanders outside of the game border limits, traveling in the direction of the location where Grunties are born. They don't intend to go there, though they wanted to visit an old friend. The teen just needed to station them self away from anyone that might disturb them. GeininX plops down into the lush, green grass of the fields, and removes a small square container from their pocket. Inside the clear box are two glossy half circles. The youth opens the case and takes one half circle from its place in the container. They open their left eye up wide and gently fix the object onto it, much like one would a contact. After blinking a number of times, the contact is in place and GeininX attempts to use it as it is to be used.

Back in the shinobi world, in a shed well beyond the two females' direction, a gleam of light shines from beneath a pile of scraps. It looks like the screen of a monitor cutting on.
