Could someone who is good with banners please tell me how to take a house's crest and make the background transparent so I can put it on to another picture?

I dont know! I'm not very good at photoshop! Does anyone get my avi? It confuses me...Anyways did everyone hear that they are doing DH into two movies? One movie is coming out nov 2010 and then march 2011 or something like that. I am super excited!

Steffyss, you have to white it out on your own. But I wouldn't know, because I only use the basic pieces of Digital Imaging.... (bleh, the instruction manual went poof)
You probably just want to stick it on, then blend the existing background so it matches. That's what I did for my banners...?

Steffyess, I don't have photoshop, I have photoshop elements with a nice DVD tutorial and 2 books - haven't had time to learn to use it! What I did: I used plain old microsoft word ('98 at that), pasted the image into a word doc, then used their picture toolbar, where you can select a background and delete it.
Then I pasted it into Appleworks, where I added the lettering and to turn it into a .jpg, since I use a Mac. Then I uploaded it to Photobucket. Good luck!

Whee! Finished the piano festival. Luckily, there was a band field trip at school, so we didn't do much in classes...haha, and I thought I'd be swamped with work... =D

Banners! If you have Microsoft Picture It! Express 9, then there's this wand thing that you can use to highlight sections of the picture and change their opacity. But if you have Photoshop...I think you have to use the blur effect. Quick question, Turayza, what program did you use for the spotted blur? I really want to blur certain /parts/ of a picture, but I don't know how to do that. Thanks!
How did Young Artists (the festival) go?
I know, I have like no homework! =OO And orchestra gets to go on a festival tomorrow...! So that'll be really fun! =DD

I just went through some of the banners - great job, Turayza! And I found the most adorable one! And it's now in my signature (: I do have to say, the Hermione and Draco ones were also very darling. :3

I noticed that the Ravenclaw commons have been not-very/as-active the past day...or two. Hrmmmm.
There are way too many music festivals in late March...everyone seems to be missing at random days o.o

I am usually very active but the last two days I have been busy making banners and icons for fun. There is also some things I have been working on for The Haven. *Cryptic Music.* I should be back to being active again soon.

The banners I made are in the Puzzle thread if you want go check them out. They aren't official guild banners but they are good for like signatures and profiles and stuff.
