Zahara nodded lightly and stood there in the lobby of the chapel, taking a moment to breathe then turning and hugging Piper tightly. "Thank you for always believing in me and us, Piper. You're the only one who never gave up." Holding her flowers and smoothing her dress, she gave an nod, stepped through the doors and after pausing just a moment as she caught sight of the armored Tier'dal, started down the aisle towards the man she wanted to stand by for the rest of her life.

and of course the massive organ began to play a long familiar tune to anyone that spent more than a year around free humanity. the size of the instrument gave it a resonating, almost harmonic unearthly sound, and a bit of magic work let the stained glass light as if with sunlight. lighting her dress witht eh stainglass, a subtle but nice blend of greens and golds as she passed Brell and Tunare, to reds and blues as she passed Innoruuk and Erollisi. and of course as she passed the honorguard, the riased thier blades in salute, the light catching thier armor and giving them also a slight glow.
Of course, anyone that knew malik however knew the slight grin on his face was from making up his own words to the wedding march.
I told you so, I told you so...you didn't believe me, but I told you so..

"Stubborn surface elf with a drow complex, what can I say?" Thusly leaving Zahara where she stood and taking the ring box to Lateef before plopping down next to Malik and pulling her son into her lap. Time to watch the magic unfold. Though she did have to admit that Malik's little touches were quite nice. A smile however at the grin he wore..he was gloating. A little laugh and she elbowed him lightly.
Okay...so...Lateef as right. The sight of her did make the world narrow in an odd kind of way and he really didn't care about anything else going on around him. She didn't need all the little formal touches, or the extra color...those were all just side dishes and such to her. She was beautiful, dressed in a gown that was indeed made for visual pleasure, her eyes bright with her own feelings. Though a smile crept across his features as he noticed one particular aspect of her looks...she had braided her hair. Which to him was quite the thing seeing as it was a running family thing of his and well, she was going to be an Inthara now wasn't she? Though as much as he wanted to go to her and whisk her off her feet...he held his place like he was supposed to, extending a hand to her once she was within arm's reach.

She hardly noticed the effect of the color, her eyes trained forward as she stepped up the aisle, clutching the bouquet in her hands. He looked perfect, standing there and waiting for her. She knew how much he hated to be fancy but he always looked so nice. Especially in that cape since that was their compromise. Slipping her hand into his, she stepped up beside him and then nodded to Lateef.
Lateef watched Zahara proceed down the aisle , giving her an encouraging smile every step of the way and nodding. He glanced at the others for a moment and his smile grew just a little wider. She looked beautiful, every inch the radiant bride, the light show lighting the church and adding to her own beauty. He waited until she stopped just before him and beside Sevilin and then cleared his throat. Lifting his hands he encompassed the entire chapel and began, “Dear friends, we are gathered here in this beautiful place to witness a momentous event in any elf’s life. Finding a mate is something all strive for and some never accomplish. It is something that must be revered, honored and respected above all things. Today, we are here to witness the joining of two very dear friends who claim to have found their mates in each other. They come here to entrust the very souls into each other’s keeping. Sevilin, Zahara, as you look at each other, remember: that is what you will become. A soul-keeper. Do not take the job or the bond you are entering into lightly. Souls are delicate things. No longer is it yours to protect and safeguard but your mate’s.
Your mate is literally your other half. When one is sick, so is the other. When one is worn down by this life, so is the other. When one experiences joy in their achievement, so does the other. In all things you must be there for each other, to support and help, but most of all to love.” A shake of his head. “Love is the only thing that will get you through the days when you wonder if you’ve made the right choice. Love is the only thing that will endure past any transgression you make against each other. As Obsidians, you two know the value of that love and how quickly losing it can harden and rip the very soul to pieces. Do not let it die. Today you both love each other. You have been through times of laughter and times of tears but you are still in love. May you always be just as you are, standing before me and all of these witnesses right now.”
He paused a moment and then smiled softly. “Sevilin Inthara, Zahara Val’Ril, do you both willingly stand before me today and request that I prove to those gathered that there is indeed a bond to be blessed and then enjoin your souls for all eternity?” Waiting for the answer from both, he continued. “Then let it be done. Please give me your hands.” Joining their hands gently he laid his own over them and spoke a few words under his breath. Much like Piper’s wedding, the air around them began to vibrate and became a deep red. A few moments passed and Lateef raised his hand then watched as it turned gold. Beaming happily at them both, he turned to the audience and waved his hands. “You all bear witness to the existence of a true bond between these two and now in the name of Andal, I bless this bond and award you both the rights and responsibilities of those bonded on any plane you may choose to enter.” Scribing the seal, he opened the box he’d set on the altar and handed one to each elf. “These rings will remark to all that you have found your mate and enjoined your souls. Please put them on and then bring forth the ribbon.”
She gave a smile and squeezed his hand gently, then took the ring from Lateef and easily slipped it on his finger. "I stole it from you and modified it slightly. I hope you like it..."

yeah he got the point, but that didn't erase that smug look on his face while they did the ceremony thing with the bonding and the ribbons...putting an arma round his wife and kissing her on the cheek lightly. hmm..wonder if she was going to do that surcoat thing too.

He heard Lateef, but he wasn't really listening. At the same time it was highly interesting how he modified things, veered from what Sevilin knew was script and such. Personalization was good. But his attention was focused on her at the moment and he didn't care for it to be anywhere else...well, maybe on his son, but he was fine at the moment.
A nod to Lateef's question, letting him do his little testing thing and such. He knew there was something there...it may not be very strong but it was still there. Elves couldn't help it. Once they made themselves suceptible to form a bond, well...but that wasn't always a bad thing either. Like now for instance. Though he gave a chuckle when she confessed to the ring theft. "You almost had me freaked out when I noticed it was gone." Taking her ring from Lateef, and looking at it a moment as he noticed something, a little phrase on the band. 'There's a perfect world...' From that he knew what was must be on the inside of his and he slipped her ring on her finger before brushing his hand across her cheek with a smile. "Shining in your eyes." See, he knew.
Oh she would be hearing about it later, how right he was and all of that. But at the same thought of having to poke at him and playfully hit at him, well she knew where that always led to. Though it was nice to see things working out finally...years and years of putting up with the two of them...hm, maybe she shoulder just join in on Malik's gloating. There was just something so satisfying about being right and pointing it all out and finally getting closure of a sense. Okay just once...I told you so. Felt good.

Her mind was going over everything that Lateef was saying, the words buzzing in and around like tiny draithix. It was amazing that she had found him, wasn't it? Amazing that they were here today and even more unbelievable was the fact that they were now bonded for all eternity. She grinned and nibbled her bottom lip. "Sorry, I didn't want to force you to wonder." Then leaning in slightly, she confessed, "I took it while you were cleaning." She watched him glance over hers and then her lips tilted in a soft smile and her eyes communicated exactly what he was searching for. "Always and forever." she whispered back.
He watched the byplay of the lovers for a moment as hte ribbon was brought forth with a smile on his face and nearly a tear in his eye. But gaining control once again, he turned his attention to the ceremony. Instead of cream, theirs was a deep green, the color of the Inthara House. Sevilin had provided crests for both Inthara (mage staff and dagger crossed) and the Val’Ril (twin crossed daggers dripping blood) and chose for the new Inthara House crest, a mage staff and a dagger crossed backdropped by the passion rune.
Taking Zahara’s wrist he wrapped and fused the ribbon to her wrist then put their palms together and interlocked their fingers before wrapping the ribbon around their joined hands and then fused the other end around Sevilin’s wrist. "So it is done. This ribbon shall be another symbol to the bond you share. While it may be separated from you, your souls will never be. In commemoration of this, you may kiss your love and bonded. And all of you bearing witness know it to be thus."
Zykariel had been sitting still like a good boy the entire time next to Malikhai who was sitting next to his parents. He'd been watching his own parents, with fists curled in excitement. Recognizing those finishing words, he leaped up and let out a joyful shout. "That's it? We're finally married married!"

And thus the ice cream mess that was left completely untouched was no longer a mystery. It had been for a good cause and well, he liked to clean anyway so it worked out in his opinion. Again letting Lateef do his thing before pulling her to him and giving her one of those kisses that she knew were only meant for her and spoke what sometimes you just couldn't put into words. Hey, he wasn't big of public displays as an everyday thing, so him taking initiative was a good thing...hell him taking any kind of initiative was good what with him being so passive. Though then a chuckle and a look over to his son, extending his hand in telling gesture for the boy to come over. "Yes, married married now and everyone knows it."

"And now we enjoy drinks and food and I get to tell you for the next few days that I told you this would happen years ago. And I get to gloat to Piper that I really can do small and still keep things elegantly wonderous."
A chuckle and kiss for his wife. and a pat to his son's shoulder.

She was stunned for a moment after the kiss was over since she'd been planning on initiating it, knowing Sevilin's passiveness and his tendency to respond rather than start things. As he drew away, her lips curved for a moment and she gave him the smile she reserved for him. Piper had seen it a few times as well but most never had. She glanced down as Zykariel came running over and leaned down and picked the boy up. "Now it's just official, we were always a family." She handed the boy to Sevilin, watching him immediately latch to his father's hair and then turn and grin happily at the few gathered in the church.
He was casually rolling up the ribbon tha thad been removed seconds before they kissed. "May I present, Lord and Lady Inthara and the young Lord Inthara as well." Lateef spread his arms out in a wide arc. "Go take your first steps together you two."
Zahara reached out and took Sevilin's hand then began the walk back down the aisle. A married woman. Who would have ever thought she'd be able to claim that title? Malik did, apparently though she already knew that. Stopping for a moment, she gave the D'vinn's a smile. "Thank you both for everything you've done for all of us." She did roll her eyes hearing Malik's words but continued on. Stepping through the doors she'd initially come through, she stopped and turned to him, then leaned up and whispered coyly, "I've got a special party planned for just as at our house. Interested?"
Watching the couple leave, he followed them down the aisle, holding the ribbon and held out his hand for his own wife to join them. A chuckle to Malik and then he shook his head and clapped the Tier'dal on the shoulder. "Don't wear that phrase out Malik. Women take phrases like that as ruination of special occassions. Say it tomorrow, not today." Wrapping an arm around Caprice's waist casually, he handed the ribbon to Piper. "Hold onto that for me. I know Zahara will see you before they run off and if you could just hand that off, I'd appreciate it." Thus a smile. "I heard mention of food."

Taking the boy, he jostled him lightly to get a laugh from him before letting Zahara lead on. This was an oddly pleasing thing actually. Huh, who knew that knowing something was kind of official or things as such could feel good. Sometimes being ignorant to the world around you wasn't so good. Though he merely snickered at Malik. "Don't wear your voice out. Remember, you wanted to make a plaque."
Lettting his attention drift to his wife, there was a thought for him, he smiled lightly. She had that look about her and he was pretty good at figuring out her looks by now. "Interested indeed." Turning a look to Zykariel. "Feel like staying here tonight?"
Piper elbowed him again, despite his armor wearing and such. She was quite used to it by now and it wasn't something that irritated anymore. Point was Malik got what she was trying to get across to him. But a laugh and she pressed a kiss to her own husbands cheek, despite his gloating, before a nod and smile to Zahara. "Don't ever doubt the determined nature of some. Things like this happen." Though her attention turned to Malik once more. "You do know that this means we're going to have Zykariel tonight, right?" Before a look to Lateef and she took the ribbon with a nod. Made her smile. Her and Malik's own was tucked away in their room in a box on the desk. Safe and sound. "Will do...but it seems you're quite ready for after party."
Well he perked right up at that one didn't he? Much so. It was always fun when Zykariel stayed over. Thusly he was up on his feet, still in his mother's lap and now just standing there instead of sitting, a look to daddy. "Can we do boy things if he is?" Boy things of course including little weapons and emulation of the elder elf and such. Mommy was sometimes allowed to play boy things with them. He'd heard daddy call her part tomboy one time, but he wasn't sure what that quite meant.

"Don't think I won't make one."
A grin at the new couple, and a nod to Lateef.
"Underdark foodstuff, and surface type. a good variety...not to mention you'll all get to have my famous pasta from Neriak...and I think Zahara cooked up a storm as well, we probably have an over abundance."
picking up Malikhai and letting Piper get up.
"I expected as much."
before a nod to his son.
"Yep, we can do boy things..and mom can play too if she wants. I have something special for you guys, since I expected Zykariel to stay here for the night."

Zykariel didn't need to hear anything else. He threw his arms around his father's neck and hugged him then squirmed to get down. "Yes!" On the ground once again, he hugged both around their waists, well more hip height for Sevilin, and ran back towards his friend. "Bye Mommy, bye Daddy! Love you! Night!"
"Well...that was easy." She watched her son run off with a chuckle and then turned to her husband and stepped up onto her tiptoes, wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him the twin to the kiss she'd been given in the chapel. Lifting her hand, she scribed the translocation rune. Seconds later they were standing in the entryway to the house. She paused a moment and drew back, then took his hand and led him over to the couch. "Sit down for a moment. There's something that needs to be done first."
"Pasta and other Underdark foods. Hmm, all of which sounds delicious." Cuddling Caprice a little closer to his side, he threw a hand out and wagged his fingers. "Shall we then? Silvercrest and I have much to discuss. I have to find out how much damage he's done to the kingdom since I've been gone." A roll of his eyes. "I know he didn't keep to my schedules."

"Something special A'mael? Do you always have something up the literal or proverbial sleeve of yours?" Getting herself up, but reaching down to snag and pick up Zykariel as he had made his way over to them as fast as he little legs could carry him. "Fun for you all boys, won't that be grand?" And she could play too...she usually got involved when the boys got entranced and even Malik got outted, she was there to keep him entertained as they watched the boys. "But food first, play later."
He frowned and then rolled his eyes in familiar fashion to Lateef's prodding at him. "That's what you think. Do remember, there is someone whom is worse than you and he's taking great joy in it all, yet is relieved I think that you will be coming back. I've always been a handful." Giving a pleasant chuckle. "I just take solace in the fact that I'm not the only one who gets to say 'I told you so' about something today.
"It's good insentive." But look at that, he got to skip surface elf relation party things and be allowed to bask in the familiarity of his own quiet space in the underdark. Pleasant, no? And not only that but he got to absord the facts about him and Zahara now. He liked to do that kind of thing after all, but a blink at her as she lead him to the evil couch and he sat down, watching her wander off for the moment. What was she up to now? Lot of surprises within the last week.

Zahara left him for a moment, slipping upstairs and grabbing a few supplies. Returning to the room, she pushed him back against the couch and straddled him then picked up a towel wrapped in ice and rested it over his skin for about ten minutes. Pulling out the tweezers, she tilted his head and clicked them together for a moment. "It's time for those stitches to come out." Trying to be as careful as she could, she began to pull them out one by one, biting her lip in determination and forcing herself not to think about what she was doing. It took her about a half hour to pull them all out and then she just rested her forehead against his for a moment. "I'm sorry...I would have waited but I didn't think you wanted me too..."
"I haven't forgotten, my friend. In fact that is the very reason that I worry as much as I do. He's quite a bully when he wants to be." Releasing his wife, he clapped his friend on the back and headed back into the D'vinn house towards the food. "We knew the same thing about her son when she was pregnant." Though he chuckled as well, "Do be careful. Gloating is bad for indigestion."
