Bakura had closed his eyes. "I had been too weak to fight against him. The powers of the Millennium Items are strong, and I never would have imagined it was that great..." His voice clearly said that this made him want to go after them even more than before.

"They call me the 'King of Thieves'..." Bakura said softly, in an odd tone. He looked towards Rei, biting his tongue. "Do you remember what I had asked before, by the oasis? When Mkhait had spoken about getting married to me, and I asked you if you would want to marry me. I... I know I had been cold then, but that was only because I was afraid of your response." He seemed very nervous as he sat up, then held Rei's shaking hands in his own. "But now... Now that I can see the truth..." He took a breath, tryinng to calm himself. "Will you marry me, Rei? You can be my queen."

Rei eyes widened in shock.Did he really just ask this?All other thoughts went away as she started crying.She pulled her hands out of his and hugged bakura tight "Oh yes!Yes I will" she dident care if she was hurting herself by hugging him.She was so happy!

Bakura had felt his heart stop for a moment when Rei had started to cry. Oh, god, was it really that awful? He didn't know she had accepted until he felt her hugging him, and had to grit his teeth together to stop himself from yelling out, either in happiness or pain. He hugged her back, closing his eyes.

She gently nuzzled into neck.She couldent belive how hapy she was.It was overwelming.

Akila couldn't hide the smile she had. "I think I'll leave you two love birds alone for a little bit. I need to buy food." She said, slipping out of the door. Bakura nuzzled against Rei in return, being careful so he wouldn't hurt her any more.

Bakura kissed her back, and it was as though he was holding himself back. He pulled away before he could get carried away. "You're still hurt from before... Just rest for now."
