Having been in, to date, over 37 fighting tournaments total in my lifetime. If you'll ever listen to my advice, it is this.
Never feel guilty. Go 110% d**k mode. Never try to be "fair" or "compensating."
Because if you have to be a shithead to win a match, at least you'll get another match to have fun in. Meanwhile, you try to be kind or do right by someone, I promise this is true, they'll take advantage of it and jew you and/or take offense to it and react horribly for your kind intentions.
No. Always be a d**k. Healthiest thing in combat roleplay is to go "how can I be the biggest dickhead to this (guy/chick) right now?" The answer that comes to mind, is your next post.
