Well, we already know where Tennessee's spot is. Chattanooga.
"Is that why you felt so violated when I asked you to give it to me a little while back? *still feels he deserves it but won't say it for Tennessee's sake* *feels someone latch to him and instinctively uses himself as a meat shield to protect his sibling*"
Boy, you're pretty whipped, aren't you?
"N- No! .............. Well, maybe a little...."
On a slightly unrelated note, I almost feel like Georgia should have burn marks on his back....

*blushes* I-It's none of your business. I'd never hand over Chattanooga no matter where it is on me. You tell your bosses to keep their hands to themselves from now on!
It's so obviously Chattanooga, but it's fun to give him a little scare every now and then. *hops up*
.__.;; Very funny...
*feels oddly accomplished* *starts playing solo dueling banjos* *solo dueling banjos is not very effective* ... How did Deliverance turn one of the catchiest tunes into the most terrifying sound you can hear in the woods...?
Hm... Sherman did do a pretty nasty number on Georgia but my Civil War teacher told me that actually Georgia and South Carolina didn't take very much damage from the march in comparison to what happened to the border states. What made it more horrific was Sherman had purposely waged war against civilians whereas in the border states the damage was mostly because the war was happening right there in people's back yards. So it wasn't quite as much of a personal attack as what Sherman did to GA and SC... I don't know how you would interpret wounds/scars on states, but it does seem like GA had a way harder time recovering after the war than the border states did. So maybe even though he had less wounds it was a deeper, more painful one?

" *twitches at the mention of Sherman* "
The march was what I was thinking. What he had done was basically set entire towns and farms in Georgia on fire and let them burn until he got to Savannah while destroying lines of transportation that was essential to the south's industry. Even if it wasn't as much damage as what some of the border states felt, I agree. Georgia would have had that hurt deeper and probably would have felt pretty guilty for sending all of his men away to leave a bunch of boys and elderly men to protect the people in these areas.
Although, honestly, what did you expect, Georgia? You do remember that fort of yours that you held those prisoners in, don't you?
" stare *grinding his teeth and going into ignore mood* "
....Right. Touchy subject. People would ask questions if you did have a large burn mark on your back, so maybe I shouldn't give you one after all. sweatdrop

To be honest I don't hold Georgia responsible for that prisoner camp... I mean, Georgia could barely feed himself or his people and America had cut off the prisoner exchange in retaliation for something else that happened (Can't 100% remember what but it had to do with the CSA refusing to treat black prisoners the same as white prisoners). Given the circumstances, there really wasn't much Georgia could have done to make that situation less miserable... It was just a really horrible war. You can't feed your prisoners if your own people are starving to death in the streets... And Sherman cutting off the supply routes really didn't help. In a way the Union's tactics tightened the noose around those prisoner's necks, too.
... *hugs Georgia*... sorry, Chris... If I'd been stronger he wouldn't of gotten through to you...
Er... I guess that's true. The Atlanta Campaign was launched from Tennessee's borders after he was conquered by the Union... Ironically, I think Sherman left from Chattanooga if I remember right.

You got a point. There are always times where one can be held responsible for how they treat their prisoners and times where you can't.
" mad You better not be hinting to me, because that wasn't my idea. It was solely my boss's at the time."
" *returns Tennessee's hug* Don't blame yourself. Had I planned things better, I would have had more people over near to to help and at least a troop or two here at home. I got carried away thinking I could lead.... Those guys away from us. D= *suddenly has his ears covered and doesn't know why... But doesn't ask questions* "
Haha, I have family members that were history buffs. My mom's dad knew practically every detail of the Civil War, including the useless stuff they never teach you in class, and my mom knows a ridiculousness amount of information on England's royalty. xd :

Ah! Say nice things like that when he can hear you! D:
*was only able to say it because he knew Georgia couldn't hear* >///>;
What a waste... You'd be cuter if you'd honestly say stuff like that to your brothers and sisters. <_<
I ain't cute. >_<
*sulks* Oh, well. I just like history. No one else in my family seems to be much for it so they always give me crazy eyes when I rant about it. Hetalia has been a good outlet for me. xd

Haha, totally. I've always had an interest in other countries, so getting to learn little fun fact about the other nations along with bits on their culture and history is amazing!

*ears ringing* =_= *covers Georgia's mouth*
U.S. History is my favorite, but Hetalia has inspired me to look deeper into what other countries were doing in response to events in America. It's kind of amazing how closely other nations were watching and paying attention long before the U.S. ever started to function as a world power... England even had newspapers commenting on the fight between baby!TN and North Carolina. (Although I think England was just being spiteful towards NC with his comments) I would never think of looking to another country for views on such a small regional conflict in the U.S. if Hetalia hadn't inspired me.
*makes sure GA can't hear* I think the burns on the back is cool. Of course, I like the angst/drama stuff (when appropriate) a lot so... take that as you will. It makes sense and I think it would add a lot more depth to Georgia's character. So if you decide to move forward with that plan then you have my approval. *thumbs up*

" emotion_8c *so confused* "
I don't know. If I did give him burn marks, maybe it should be on his chest near his heart since it was Atlanta that was the first to be burned and then they moved towards Savannah, which Georgia had treasured so much. (That was a big part of why Georgia got really angry when Sherman basically "gave Savannah as a present" to Lincoln. It was sort of like the slap to the face after they'd already been given a black eye. I'd honestly like more people to input if they think Georgia should have a burn mark and where they think it should go.

Oh, yeah. I almost forgot about him presenting Savannah as a Christmas present... The conquering of Georgia was pretty dramatic.
When TN got conquered again it was sort of... well... Honestly, it was a little derp-tastic... One of the weirdest things was Tennessee's response to Nashville getting taken. Apparently he wasn't personally too bothered by it being taken over (although it was a MAJOR tactical loss) so much as he was horrified by the amount of prostitutes who began flocking in and were following the army. xd People in Tennessee were more upset over the prostitutes swarming the capital than the invading army. I kind of face-palmed when I read about it.

Hm, I really don't know what would be your erotic zone Charlotte but I shall look it up.
"Wait, was that about England newspapers talking about me and Andrew?"
I'm slowing remembering the vauge details about NC's history that I learned from 7 years ago sweatdrop . I do remember NC being the last to secede from the Union and the Navel blockage did take a toll on NC. I remember mom even saying that there was even battle over shoes.
*is now researching and finding finner details than what was given in text books*

A nurse it is! Good choice! wink
Although a lot of the interesting details about history you can't find in text books and the internet does an... ok job, but more often than not the information is mangled and doesn't give you a good perspective on the events. *has a big collection of obscure history books* Honestly, one of the best places to pick up books with in-depth information about your state is small, local museums.
England was making fun of North Carolina by claiming she was doing the exact same thing to baby!TN as she claimed he had done to her before the Revolutionary War. (Which wasn't entirely true... There were some legit issues that were similar, but the heart of the issue came down to a major misunderstanding) I guess I should explain their fight...
~~Le NC and baby!TN Fight~~
In a nut shell, the fight between them started with North Carolina realizing she couldn't take care of baby!TN and there was a lot of pressure on her from America and other states to cede land to the federal government in order to help with the Revolutionary War debt. When North Carolina asked baby!TN about it he had a classic case of indecisiveness. For a long time there had been major issues about him being isolated behind the mountains so it was hard for him to reach the capital/be involved in government/get aid/whatevers so he recognized the benefits of belonging directly to America, but he was hesitant to actually leave his sister's house. The mixed response lead NC to believe he was ok with it and ceded him.
Here's where things get dicey. When some of baby!TN's leaders found out about this they essentially went to him and were like "YOUR SISTER ABANDONED YOU. o_o She hates you! She says mean things about you all the time!" which was a total (pardon my French) d**k move because many of the people who were telling him this were the same people who voted for him to be ceded. (In my opinion they were mostly land speculators who thought a more independent TN would increase their profits so they wanted to manipulate him into rebellion) Baby!TN was upset and honestly thought he had been abandoned and betrayed by his big sister which lead some of his people to decide to declare independence from NC and attempted to make him into the state of Franklin. (This would be a failure partially because America hadn't established rules for how new states would be organized into the Union yet and also because two of the original states failed to cast a vote on admitting him at all and without a certain percentage of consent you can't officially become a state.)
In reality, NC hadn't abandoned her little brother and even made sure congress understood he was still under her jurisdiction until America came to get him. When she found out what was happening, she was super pissed and even called on Virginia and SC to help her put the rebelling baby!TN in his place. (Virginia refused and SC's response basically said "I'll help although I don't think it's a good idea... He might be an idiot but he doesn't shoot like one." <-- NC kind of cooled down and decided not to attack after this.)
When NC got a new, cooler headed governor he stepped in and was like "Let me handle this..." and his plan was to try to soothe baby!TN's hurt feelings by trying to demonstrate NC's sense of responsibility in taking care of him. He had NC address some of the issues that baby!TN had complained about and even offered his leader a very nice position to show there were no hurt feelings. Baby!TN softened a lot and calmed down, but there was still a lot of resentment and resistance to submitting to her again. (The instigators had really done a number on his trust.) It took a while for the Franklin movement to actually die out.
By the time TN was officially ceded and taken in by America to become the Southwest Territory there were a lot of hurt feelings between them. NC was notably relieved to get rid of him at that point and it would be generations before he would completely forgive her for "abandoning" him. They wouldn't really reconcile until later, but it seems like TN eventually came to understand his sister's feelings/position and they forgave each other. It is interesting to note though that NC put some serious restrictions and rules on how America took care of baby!TN. One was a special agreement which said no one could force him to give up slavery without his consent which some people argue was part of why Lincoln didn't include TN in the Emancipation Proclamation during the Civil War. (I haven't found any solid evidence of that, but it's an interesting thought)
~~Le End of Fight~~
Well, I'm leaving out a few details, but that's the main gist of what went down...
Teeeechnically it was TN who was the last to officially secede, but there was a whole lot of confusion over that because of the governor putting him into an awkward position of de facto rebellion. The governor sent out TN's militia without the state's consent and made some under the table deals with the legislature and Confederacy, but couldn't actually get the state to accept secession until much later later. (The legislature voted to take TN out of the Union on May 6, NC actually left May 20, but TN wouldn't accept secession and "agree" to it until June 8.) So even though NC's ordinance was submitted/processed/whatever first, TN was actually in a weird limbo secession before her... It's complicated. TN during the Civil War is kind of an anomaly. (He's amazingly indecisive when it comes to important issues)
