Mars is second in command to whatever side he chooses (myobu or nogitsune) whichever he would like to pledge his allegiance to. So he can report to Kuzunoha as her right-hand man, or rebel against her and make his own little evil-kitsune tribe if he likes. xd

Hate to break it to you, but the headmaster is the mother of kitsunes sister. So I sincerely doubt they are gonna mate. That would be just plain wrong if that happened.
